1.Suicide attack on the US Embassy in Montenegro :-

Suicide Accident in the US Embassy Campus located in Podgorica, capital of the European country Montenegro. The suspect blown himself after exploding himself after throwing a grenade. Government of Montenegro gave this information However, there is no news of any casualties in the attack. The External Affairs Ministry spokesman confirmed the attack in the US embassy complex. He said that at present the employees of the American Embassy are collaborating closely with the police to identify the attackers.

 

2.More than 40 students still missing after Boko Haram attack in Nigeria :-

After the terrorist attack in Nigeria, 46 students are still missing. Girls College was targeted by Boko Haram militants in the Yub state of Nigeria in the past. Nigerian officials examined Yob’s Government Girls Technical College located in Dupchi and told that 100 students were missing after the attack. After that, after fleeing the attack, many students fled from home for safety, but 46 students are still missing.

 

3.Center opposes Petition seeking independent probe of Nirav Modi’s escape from the country :-

The Center has opposed a PIL filed in the Supreme Court which has demanded an independent inquiry into the case of jeweler Nirav Modi fleeing the country in a fraud of 11,400 crore rupees from Punjab National Bank. In the presence of a bench headed by Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, attorney general K.K. Venugopal opposed this PIL on many grounds. The court has listed the case for hearing on March 16.

 

4.Gold and silver prices fall :-

Due to weak global cues and demand from local jewelers, gold prices have declined in Delhi’s Sarrapa market. Gold has come down by Rs 250 to Rs 31,450 per 10 grams level. Similarly, silver prices have also seen a decline. Deficit due to weak lifting from the industrial units and coin makers has been seen. Silver has come down by Rs 140 to Rs 39300 per kg. Merchants believe that the fall in gold prices has led to weak global cues. During this time, the dollar’s prices got stronger. Gold in Singapore at the global level , with a weakness of 0.21 %, 1325.90Due to the weakening of the rupee at the US dollar and a 0.18 per cent fall, silver has come down to $ 16.39 an ounce. Besides, gold prices were seen in the domestic spot market due to lower demand from local jewelers and retailers.

 

5.Swietolina makes the quarter-finals in the Dubai Open :-

The current champion and top seeded Elena Spitolina made it to the quarter-finals of Dubai Open Tennis Tournament after fighting for more than two hours. Switolina spent almost two and a half hours on the court and beat China’s Wang Qianyang 6-1, 5-7, 6-2 .

 

6.Sardar Singh gets command of Indian team for Sultan Azlan Shah Cup :-

Hockey India (HI) has announced the Indian Men’s Hockey Team for the 27th Sultan Azlan Shah Tournament. In the tournament starting on March 3 in Malaysia, 3 young players Mandeep Mor, Sumit Kumar and Shilanand Lakra will play for the first time at the international level. Veteran player Sardar Singh will take charge of the Indian team in this tournament, while experienced forward Ramandeep Singh will take charge of the vice-captain. About the young players, the chief coach of the squad, Shuard Merran said, “On the tour of New Zealand, 4 young players got the opportunity to play for the first time internationally. Similarly, in this tournament, three new players are being given an opportunity.

 

7.Successful test of the Earth-2 missile’s ability to work in the night :-

8.Avni Chaturvedi becomes the first woman pilot to fly fighter plane alone :-

Flying Officer Avni Chaturvedi of Indian Air Force has made history. He has become the first female fighter pilot of the fighter plane to fly alone. Avni flew the MiG-21 Bison Fighter Plant in his first training in Jamnagar, Gujarat. For the first time on June 18, 2016, three women, Avni Chaturvedi, Mohana Singh and Sage Kant, were commissioned in the Air Force to become Women’s Fighter Pilot. Air Commodore Pacific Dixit said that this is a special achievement for the Indian Air Force and the entire country. It is a matter of grave importance that in the year 2015, the central government had decided to include women in a fighter pilot.
