1.India-Vietnam business up to Rs 1 trillion :-

Vietnam’s President Tran Dai Kwang on Saturday said that India will emerge as the top business partner of Vietnam in the next few years.

He hoped to reach bilateral crores at $ 15 billion (Rs 97,500 crore) by 2020. Quang said that India can become an important source of valuable inputs for Vietnam’s textile and footwear industry and their country is also looking forward to enhancing cooperation from India in the tourism sector.

At present, our bilateral business is about $ 10 billion (about Rs 6,500 crore), which has the potential of reaching $ 15 billion by the year 2020. 2.Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman said that the government did not shut down the Light Combat Aircraft Tejas project in favor of any other fighter aircraft :-

Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman has said that the government has not stopped the project of light fighter Tejas due to any other fighter aircraft. In a conversation with reporters in New Delhi on Saturday, he said that the government is eagerly waiting for the Mark- 2 version of Tejas and many countries have shown interest in indigenous developed aircraft by the government company, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited.

But, Mrs Sitaraman said that Hindustan Aeronautics Limited will have to increase its capacity to make light combat aircraft. Currently, the company is producing about 8 Tejas aircraft each year, which is a single engine multi-roll aircraft. He said that the Defense Ministry wants to increase the capacity of Tejas aircraft to 18 aircraft per year.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India and Vietnam will work together for the prosperous Indo-Pacific region where sovereignty and international law will be respected and disputes will be resolved through dialogue. Following the delegation level talks with Vietnam’s President Chan Dai Quang on Saturday in New Delhi, Shri Modi said that both the countries will work to strengthen defense, maritime security and energy cooperation. He said that bilateral trade between the two countries has increased from $ 6 billion to $ 10 billion despite the global economic downturn.

After the talks between the two leaders, three agreements were signed between India and Vietnam between nuclear energy partnership, agriculture and trade all over the region. While addressing the India-Vietnam trade forum in New Delhi, he said that India is still in the top 10 business partners of Vietnam. The President of Vietnam said that his country is committed to enhancing relations with India in various fields including energy and connectivity. He said that India will soon become Vietnam’s largest trading partner and by 2020, the $ 15 billion bilateral agreement that will be linked to trade will be achieved.

 

4.Bharatiya Janata Party completes 25 years old Left rule in Tripura, Hung Assembly in Nagaland and Meghalaya :-

Bharatiya Janata Party has secured a clear majority by winning 35 seats in Tripura in the 60 assembly seats. Its associate Indigenous Peoples Front of Tripura has got eight seats. In this way, both the parties have won in 43 constituencies yesterday. The Bharatiya Janata Party has abolished the leftist rule in the state for 25 years.

Hung assembly is being formed in Meghalaya and Nagaland. In the 60-member Meghalaya assembly, Congress is the biggest party by winning 21 seats, while National People’s Party has 19, United Democratic Party has 6, People’s Democratic Front has four, independents three, Bharatiya Janata Party and Hills State People’s Democratic Party two-two , Nationalist Congress Party and K. H. N. a. M. has won one seat. The BJP and its allies in Nagaland, the National Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Has won 28 seats. Meanwhile Naga People’s Front party has become the largest party in the assembly by winning 27 seats.

 

5.Bipalab for Tripura CM post :-

BJP Parliamentary Board has appointed Central Supervisors for Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland.

6.SFO asks for documents from Fortis :-

The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFO) has sought some documents from Fortis Healthcare, who is investigating financial irregularities.

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs is investigating alleged financial irregularities in Fortis Healthcare. The company said, “The company got a notice from the SFIO, the subordinate institution of the Corporate Affairs Ministry. Some important information and documents have been sought for this, which have been given time to deposit till 9 March. The company is currently collecting all the information and they will be sent in due time. Significantly, promoters of Fortis Healthcare, Malvinder Mohan Singh and Shivinder Mohan Singh have been accused of taking Rs 473 crores without permission from the board of directors of the company.
