1.All preparations for the counting of votes for Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland assembly elections will be completed :-

Preparations for the counting of votes for Tripura, Meghalaya and Nagaland assembly elections have been completed. Tripura was voted on February 18 and in Meghalaya and Nagaland on 27 February. There are sixty-sixty seats in the assembly in all the three states, but all three voting for 59-59 seats.

Chief Electoral Officer of Meghalaya, Mr. F. R. Kharkhanagar said that thirteen counting centers have been made in the state. For this, 37 Election Officers, and 60 Assistant Electoral Officers have been appointed. For this, 37 Election Officers, and 60 Assistant Electoral Officers have been appointed. Strict security arrangements have been made around the counting centers.

Nagaland Chief Electoral Officer Abhijit Sinha has said that there will be counting of votes on twelve district headquarters in the state. He said that three-tier security arrangements have been made for this.

 

2.There is no religion of barbaric attack on innocent people: PM :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the fight against terrorism and fundamentalism is not against any religion but it is against the mentality that confuses the youth. In a program on the theme of Islamic heritage-consensus and equality promotion in New Delhi, Shri Modi said that every religion promotes human values. 
The Prime Minister said that no religion teaches intolerance and violence. Those who attack barbaric people, they can not have any relationship with any religion. 
Those who attack against humanity probably do not understand that the loss is the religion that they claim to stand for. The campaign against terrorism and extremism is not against any cult. This is against the mentality that is misguided by our youth and is intent on punishing innocent people.

 

3.India’s vision of the Dalai Lama is clear and unalterable: Ministry of External Affairs :-

India has said that his view towards the Dalai Lama is clear and unwavering. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravi Kumar said that the Dalai Lama is a religious teacher and people of India have great respect for him. Mr. Ravish Kumar said that the Dalai Lama has the freedom to run his religious activities at any place in the country. This explanation of the spokesperson came after the report printed in an English newspaper, which states that the central government has asked its leaders and government officials to stay away from programs organized on the occasion of completion of 60 years of exile in Tibetan leader Dalai Lama’s India have asked.

 

4.Ministry of Women and Child Development sanctioned 29 billion rupees under the Nirbhaya Fund for the protection of urban women :-

The Ministry of Women and Child Development has sanctioned amount of more than Rs 29 billion under the Nirbhaya Fund in eight major cities for the protection of urban women. The states which have been approved include Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. This decision was taken in the meeting of the empowered committee headed by the Secretary of Women and Child Development.

 

5.Government of Gujarat announces payment of arrears of Seventh Pay Commission to employees and pensioners :-

The Gujarat government has announced the payment to the dues of the seventh pay commission to the employees and pensioners. This decision will benefit about 4 lakh sixty thousand employees and 4 lakh twelve thousand pensioners of the state government.

 

6.The Union Cabinet has given the approval to make NFRA :-

The Union Cabinet has approved the formation of National Financial Reporting Authority (NFRA). Finance Minister Arun Jaitley told in New Delhi that NFRA auditing would act as a neutral regulator for business. Mr. Jaitley said that the NFRA jurisdiction has been expanded and it will also examine the chartered accountants and their companies, as well as the government companies listed and a large number of non-listed public companies.

 

7.India and Jordan will be given a joint effort against terrorism force: President :-

President Ramnath Kovind has said that the matches of India and Jordan are the challenge of terrorism and the two countries have to face it together. In his interaction with King Abdullah of Jordan at the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Shri Kovind said that the two countries have very intense and friendly relations. 
On this occasion, Shah Abdullah of Jordan said that establishing peace in the world is an equal responsibility of India and Jordan. He said that there is a need to give a prosperous and secure future to the youth. Shah Abdullah stressed the need for fighting against hatred and violence.
