- केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री ने ‘इंडिया 2017 ईयरबुक’ किताब जारी की :-
(I)केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने केंद्रीय गृह सचिव राजीव महर्षि द्वारा लिखित ‘इंडिया 2017 ईयरबुक’ पुस्तक जारी की है।
(II)इस अवसर पर नीति आयोग के मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी अमिताभ कांत भी उपस्थित थे।
(III)पुस्तक को मैक्ग्रा हिल एजुकेशन इंडिया द्वारा प्रकाशित किया गया है।
- कर्नाटक बैंक, एलआईसी के बीच करार :-
(I)कर्नाटक बैंक लिमिटेड ने एलआईसी के जीवन बीमा उत्पादों की बिक्री के लिए भारत जीवन बीमा निगम (एलआईसी) के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) किया है।
(II)बैंक ने मंगलूरु में एलआईसी के साथ कॉर्पोरेट एजेंसी करार पर हस्ताक्षर किए।
(III)बैंक के प्रबंध निदेशक और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी महाबलेश्वर एमएस ने कहा कि इससे बैंक अपनी सभी 769 (IV)शाखाओं में अपने ग्राहकों को जीवन बीमा उत्पादों का विशाल विकल्प प्रदान करने में सक्षम होगा।
- जैकलिन फर्नांडीज ने ब्रिटेन का मानवतावादी पुरस्कार जीता :-
(I)बॉलीवुड अभिनेत्री जैकलिन फर्नांडीज ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मानवतावादी पुरस्कार और लेखक जेफ्री आर्चर ने लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड जीता है।
(II)एक प्रमुख ब्रिटिश एशियाई न्यूजवीकली एशियन वॉयस द्वारा संचालित “चैरिटी ऑफ़ द ईयर” पुरस्कार Anxiety यूके को प्रस्तुत किया गया था, जो चिंता संबंधी विकार वाले लोगों की सहायता करने के लिए काम करती है।
(III)फर्नांडीज ने मानवता के लिए हैबिटेट चैरिटी के साथ मिलकर काम किया है।
(IV)वर्षों तक विभिन्न चैरिटी संगठनों की सेवाओं के लिए आर्चर को लाइफटाइम अचीवमेंट अवार्ड दिया गया।
- सर्वश्रेष्ठ कार्य निष्पादन के लिये कोचीन पोर्ट ट्रस्ट को मिले दो पुरस्कार :-
(I)कोचीन पोर्ट ट्रस्ट को 2016-17 में परिचालन अधिशेष में सर्वाधिक वृद्धि तथा माल ढुलाई में भी तीसरी सबसे अधिक वृद्धि हासिल करने को लेकर नौवहन मंत्रालय से दो सर्वश्रेष्ठ कार्य निष्पादन पुरस्कार मिले हैं।
(II)कोचीन पोर्ट ट्रस्ट के अध्यक्ष पी रवींद्रन और उपाध्यक्ष ए वी रमन्ना ने केंद्रीय सडक़ परिवहन एवं राजमार्ग एवं नौवहन मंत्री नितिन गडकरी से ये पुरस्कार ग्रहण किए।
(III)कोचीन पोर्ट ट्रस्ट ने 2016-17 में 127.72 करोड़ रूपये का परिचालन लाभ हासिल किया जो उसके पिछले वित्त वर्ष के 70.89 करोड़ रूपये से 80 फीसदी अधिक है।
(IV)वर्ष 2014-15 में परिचालन लाभ 19.55 करोड़ रूपये था।
- एचडीएफसी लाइफ ने भारत का पहला जीवन बीमा ईमेल रोबोट लॉन्च किया :-
(I)भारत की अग्रणी निजी जीवन बीमा कंपनियों में से एक एचडीएफसी लाइफ ने भारत का पहला जीवन बीमा ईमेल रोबोट लॉन्च करने की घोषणा की है।
(II)एसपीओके नामक ई-मेल रोबोट मिलीसेकंड्स में एचडीएफसी लाइफ़ को ग्राहकों द्वारा भेजे गए ईमेल स्वचालित रूप से पढ़, समझ, श्रेणीबद्ध और जवाब दे सकते हैं।
(III)इस स्वचालन पहल से एचडीएफसी लाइफ उपयोगकर्ता के प्रश्नों का तेज़ और अधिक कुशलतापूर्वक और लगातार जवाब दे सकेगी।
- फेडरेशन कप: बैंगलोर एफसी ने मोहन बागान को 2-0 से हराकर खिताब जीता :-
(I)कटक में बाराबाटी स्टेडियम में मोहन बागान को 2-0 से हराकर बेंगलूर एफसी ने हीरो फैडरेशन कप के 38वें संस्करण को जीत लिया है।
(II)बेंगलुरू एफसी के दबदबे वाले फाइनल में, सीके विनीत के 107 वें और 119 वें मिनट में किये गये गोल ही दोनों पक्षों के बीच मुख्य अंतर रहे।
(III)फेडरेशन कप, जिसे प्रायोजक कारणों के चलते हीरो फेडरेशन कप भी कहा जाता है, 1977 में शुरू एक सालाना नॉकआउट स्टाइल क्लब फुटबॉल टूर्नामेंट है।
(IV)मोहन बागान ने सर्वाधिक 14 बार फेडरेशन कप जीता है।
7.World’s First Philosophical Novel on God Unveiled :-
(I)IAS officer Haulianlal Guite has recently published a philosophical novel for God titled “Confessions of a dying mind: the blind faith of atheism“.
(II)The book was unveiled by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju at august gathering of Civil Services Officers’ Institute in New Delhi. The book is touted as “the world’s first philosophical novel for God“.
8.Harsh Malhotra Committee on Scouts and Guides Submits Report to the Sports Ministry :-
(I)A seven-member High-Level Committee on Scouts and Guides has submitted its Final Report to Minister for State (Independent Charge) for Youth Affairs & Sports, Vijay Goel with various recommendations.
9.Paytm Launches Payments Bank :-
(I)Paytm has rolled out its Payments Bank operations by launching its first physical branch in Noida.
(II)With this launch, there are three payments bank operational in the country, the other two being Airtel Payments Bank Ltd and India Post Payments Bank Ltd.
(III)The Paytm Payments Bank will be the first bank in the country to offer cashbacks on deposits.
10.PM Inaugurates African Development Bank’s 52nd Annual General Meeting :-
(I)Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the 52nd Annual General Meeting of the African Development Bank in Gandhinagar.
(II)The AGM will be held in from May 22-26. This is the first time that India is hosting the annual meetings of the AfDB and its sister institutions, including of finance ministers of member countries, who comprise the AfDB board of governors.
(III)India had joined the African Development Bank (AfDB) in 1983.
11.RBI to Reconstitute Oversight Committee to Tackle Bad Loans :-
(I)The Reserve Bank of India is set to reconstitute Oversight Committee to operationalise the banking ordinance, which was recently cleared by the Union Cabinet to amend the Banking Regulation Act for the sake of giving more powers to Reserve Bank of India for effectively dealing with non-performing assets (NPAs) in the banking sector.
12.FTA will be high on Modi-Merkel agenda :-
(I)Shared concerns over China’s Belt and Road initiative should push India and the European Union closer to resume stalled talks over a Free Trade Agreement, said German Envoy to India Martin Ney, indicating the issue of the FTA will be high on the agenda when Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin next week.
