1.प्रकाश जावड़ेकर ने रैगिंग से निपटने के लिए यूजीसी एप की शुरूआत की :-

• केंद्रीय मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री प्रकाश जावडेकर ने नई दिल्ली में विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी)  द्वारा निर्मित एक ‘एंटी रैंगिंग मोबाइल एप’ की शुरूआत की।
• इस अवसर पर जावड़ेकर ने कहा इस मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन से छात्रों को रैगिंग की समस्या से निपटने में मदद मिलेगी।
• मंत्री ने कहा कि इससे पहले रैगिंग की शिकायत दर्ज कराने के लिए वेबसाइट का सहारा लेना पड़ता था और हमारे रिकॉर्ड से पता चलता है कि समय पर की गई कार्रवाई से ऐसे मामलों में कमी आई थी, लेकिन अभी भी इस तरह की समस्याओं का पूरी तरह से सफाया करने की जरूरत है।

 2. 2017-18मेंभारत की विकास दर 7.2% रहेगी: विश्व बैंक :-

• अपने नवीनतम भारत विकास अद्यतन में, विश्व बैंक ने कहा कि वित्त वर्ष 2017-18 में भारत की अर्थव्यवस्था 7.2% की दर से बढेगी।
• रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि जीएसटी से उच्च कर संग्रह, अधिक डिजिटल वित्तीय समावेश होगा तथा यह गरीबों पर बोझ डाले बिना भारत की बुनियादी स्थिति को मजबूत बनायेगा।

3. एक्ज़िमबैंकने एसबीएम (मॉरीशस) इन्फ्रा को एलओसी में $500 मिलियन विस्तार किया :-

• भारतीय निर्यात-आयात बैंक (एक्जिम इंडिया) ने एसबीएम (मॉरीशस) इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर कंपनी लिमिटेड को $ 500 मिलियन लाइन-ऑफ-क्रेडिट (एलओसी) दिया है।
• मॉरीशस में अन्य परियोजनाओं के बुनियादी ढांचे को कार्यान्वित करने के लिए सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की संस्थाओं में रिडीमेबल प्राधान्य शेयरों के माध्यम से अपनी भागीदारी के वित्तपोषण के उद्देश्य के लिए यह लाईन ऑफ क्रेडिट दिया गया है।
• यह 500 मिलियन डॉलर का क्रेडिट एसबीएम, मॉरीशस के लिए एक्जिम इंडिया का पहला एलओसी है।

4. नजमाहेपतुल्लाने जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया की प्रथम महिला कुलपति :-

• 
• 77 वर्षीय हेपतुल्ला ने लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल (सेवानिवृत्त) एमए जकी की जगह ली है जो इस महीने पांच साल का कार्यकाल पूरा कर रहे हैं।
• उन्हें पांच साल की अवधि के लिए नियुक्त किया गया है।
• मणिपुर की राज्यपाल और पूर्व अल्पसंख्यक मामलों की मंत्री नजमा हेपतुल्ला को जामिया मिलिया इस्लामिया की कुलपति के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है।
• 1920 में इसकी स्थापना के बाद से वह विश्वविद्यालय की पहली महिला कुलपति हैं।

5. बार्सिलोनाकेलियोनल मेसी ने चौथी बार गोल्डन शू जीता :-

• लियोनल मेसी ने रियल मैड्रिड के क्रिस्टियानो रोनाल्डो के रिकॉर्ड की बराबरी करते हुए चौथी बार यूरोपीय गोल्डन शू अवार्ड जीता है।
• यह पुरस्कार यूरोपीय सीजन में सबसे ज्यादा गोल करने के लिए दिया गया है।
• मेसी ने पहले 2010, 2012 और 2013 में यह पुरस्कार जीता था।

6. प्रियंकाचोपड़ादादा साहब फाल्के अकादमी पुरस्कार से सम्मानित

• प्रियंका चोपड़ा को प्रतिष्ठित दादासाहेब फाल्के अकादमी पुरस्कार की एक नई श्रेणी ‘इंटरनेशनल एक्लेम्ड एक्ट्रैस अवार्ड’ के तहत पुरस्कार प्रदान किया जायेगा।
• फिल्म ‘मेरी कॉम’ के लिये प्रसिद्ध अभिनेत्री इस पुरस्कार की पहली प्राप्तकर्ता होंगी।
• प्रियंका की मां मधु चोपड़ा को भी अपनी पहली फिल्म ‘वेंटीलेटर’ के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ फिल्म श्रेणी में दादा साहब फाल्के पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया जाएगा।

7. राष्ट्रपति ने दो पुस्‍तकों की पहली प्रतियां प्राप्‍त की

• It was the first time since 1987 that the G7 summit held in Italy was not hosted by Silvio Berlusconi.
• The 43rd G7 summit was the first summit for British Prime Minister Theresa May, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, and U.S. President Donald Trump.
• दूसरी पुस्तक ‘कंजरवेटिव डेंटिस्‍ट्री-बेसिक्‍स’ जिसके लेखक डॉ दलदीप बाली और दीपिका चंडोक है, विषय के बुनियादी मूल सिद्धांतों पर केंद्रित है।
• पहली पुस्तक ‘कलर एटलस ऑफ ओरल इम्‍प्‍लांट्स’ जिसके लेखक डॉ लंका महेश और डॉ प्रफुल्ल बाली हैं, दंत प्रत्यारोपण के क्षेत्र में लेखकों द्वारा की गई उन्नत प्रक्रियाओं पर केंद्रित है।
• राष्ट्रपति श्री प्रणब मुखर्जी ने राष्‍ट्रपति भवन में ‘कलर एटलस ऑफ ओरल इम्‍प्‍लांट्स’ तथा ‘कंजरवेटिव डेंटिस्‍ट्री-बेसिक्‍स’ नामक पुस्‍तकों की पहली प्रतियां प्राप्‍त की।

• The 43rd G7 summit was held on May 26–27, 2017 in Taormina, Sicily, Italy.
• The Group of 7 (G7) is a group consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States. The European Union is also represented within the G7.

  9.5th India Morocco Joint Commission Meeting (JCM)

The 5th India Morocco Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) was held in Rabat on 25 and 26 May  The JCM was anchored by Smt Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce and Industry Minister.

• A Memorandum of Understanding was signed for Cooperation on Broadcasting between Prasar Bharati, India and Société Nationale de Radiodiffusion et de Télévision (SNRT), Morocco.

10.Amitabh Bachchan led Toilet Usage Campaign set for national launch

2017. For promotion of toilet usage across the country’s villages, the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation has come out with an aggressive new campaign called Darwaza Band starting May 30th, 2017.
2018. Iconic actor, Amitabh Bachchan, who leads the campaign, is to joined by various dignitaries at the formal launch event in Mumbai.

• The campaign has been supported by the World Bank and is being rolled out countrywide immediately after the launch.

1. It is designed to encourage behaviour change in men who have toilets but are not using them.
2. The campaign also features actor, Anushka Sharma, who will be seen encouraging women to stand up for this issue in their villages and assume a leadership role.

11.Prakash Javadekar launches UGC App to fight Ragging

Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar launched an Anti-Ragging Mobile App introduced by the University Grants Commission (UGC) here in New Delhi.

• Speaking on this occasion Shri Javadekar said this mobile app will help students register complaints to counter the menace of ragging.
• The Minister said earlier one had to visit the website for registering a complaint of ragging and our record shows that timely action was taken which in turn had resulted in the decrease of such instances. But still this ill has to be eliminated completely, he said.

12.India to grow at 7.2% in 2017-18: World Bank:-

• In its latest India Development Update, the World Bank said India’s economy will grow 7.2% in fiscal year 2017-18.
• GST, the report said, would lead to higher tax collection, greater digital financial inclusion and make India’s fundamentals stronger and yet not increase the burden on the poor.

13. Exim Bank extends $500 m LoC to SBM (Mauritius) Infra:-

• Export-Import Bank of India (Exim India) has extended a $500 million line-of-credit (LoC) to SBM (Mauritius) Infrastructure Company Ltd.
• This LoC has been extended for the purpose of financing its participation through Redeemable Preference Shares in public sector entities to implement infrastructure of other projects in Mauritius.
• This $500 million credit is Exim India’s first LOC to the SBM, Mauritius.

14. Najma Heptulla appointed as 1st woman chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia:-

• Manipur Governor and former minority affairs minister Najma Heptulla has been appointed as the chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia.
• She has been appointed for a term of five years.
• The 77-year-old Heptulla succeeds Lt Gen (Retd) MA Zaki who completes his five-year term this month.

15. Barcelona’s Lionel Messi wins Golden Shoe for fourth time:-

• Lionel Messi has won the European Golden Shoe for a record-equalling fourth time, drawing level with Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.
• This award is given for scoring highest number of goals in European season.
• Messi previously won the award in 2010, 2012 and 2013.
