2.With the release of the notification of the Central Government, the order of the Delimitation Commission of Jammu and Kashmir came into force.

The order of the Jammu and Kashmir Delimitation Commission regarding the constituencies has come into force. A notification in this regard was issued by the Central Government. According to the notification of the Union Law Ministry, the order of the Delimitation Commission will be considered effective from May 20. Retired Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai presided over the Delimitation Commission . Former Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra and Jammu and Kashmir Election Commissioner K. Of. Gupta was also present. Under the reorganization of constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir, the commission has delimited 90 assembly constituencies in the state, out of which 47 are in Kashmir division and 43 in Jammu division .are in. For the first time, nine seats have been reserved for Scheduled Tribes and seven for Scheduled Caste candidates. Members of the Kashmir Pandit community will be nominated in two seats. The special thing is that both the nominated members will get the same right to vote as the elected members. The commission has not delimited the 24 seats reserved for the Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir region.

4.RSV virus responsible for 100,000 child deaths in the world during 2019

A recent study found that lower respiratory infections caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are more common in children under the age of five . According to the report published by Lancet , it is responsible for 100,000 child deaths in the world during the year 2019 . RSV is a common respiratory virus. It is highly contagious in nature, that is, it has a high potential to infect people. This has increased the risk of lung infections. It usually infects children under the age of 2 to 6 years. In most cases it shows symptoms similar to the common cold but in extreme cases it progresses to pneumonia and bronchiolitis.

Recently , a new variant ‘ BA.4 Omicron Variant ‘ has knocked in India amid decreasing cases of corona . Let us tell you that the first case of BA.4 Omicron variant is in Hyderabad .I have come to the fore. After getting this variant, experts say that cases of this variant can be found in other parts of the country as well. This variant has been detected through the Kovid-19 Genomic Surveillance Program. In a recent study, it has been told that Omicron and Delta are intertwined which has been named Deltachron. Similarly, Omicron has also joined its sub-variant, which is named BA.4. It is being told that till now the presence of BA.4 across the world is very less. BA.4 is a sub-version of Omicron. It has been declared a variant of concern by the European Centers for Disease Control and Prevention with the BA.5 variant. According to the report, BA.4 is derived from a mixture of BA.1 and BA.3.

6.SCO-RATS meeting

Recently there was a meeting between the member countries of SCO under the Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure (RATS) of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) . It entered India after Russia’s encroachment on Ukraine and China’s encroachment on the Line of Actual Control .This is the first such meeting. The agenda for promoting cooperation and tackling various global and regional security challenges has been discussed in the SCO-RATS meeting. India is the chairman of the Council of Regional Anti-Terrorism Structure of the SCO (RATS SCO). The situation in Afghanistan and the security concerns arising out of the fall of Afghanistan at the hands of the Taliban were the main agenda of this meeting. India has expressed a strong desire to strengthen its security cooperation with the SCO and its regional counter-terrorism structure, which focuses on security and defense matters. RATS is a permanent body of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Its purpose is to facilitate coordination and dialogue among the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in the fight against terrorism, extremism and separatism. The main function of SCO-RATS is coordination and information sharing.

In line with the spirit of One Nation, One Portal, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh launched a single national portal for biotech researchers and startups . This portal called BioRRAP will be helpful for all the stakeholders seeking permission for biological research and development activity in the country. Dr Jitendra Singh said after the launch of Biological Research Regulatory Approval Portal (BioRRAP) portal, India is going to become a global bio-manufacturing hub and will be among the top 5 such countries in the world by 2025. He said that this portal will also facilitate the stakeholders to view the permission granted for an application through a unique ID.

The Chief Minister of Punjab , Bhagwant Mann listened to the grievances of the people of the state and issued redressal instructions in ‘ Lok Milni ‘, a first of its kind public relations programme. This interactive program was started with the aim of providing a single-window platform to the people of the state for redressal of their grievances. The people of the state had lodged various complaints and grievances with the state government in the last two months to participate in this programme. During this ‘Lok Milani’ 61 complainants lodged their complaints with the Chief Minister. He directed the top officers of various departments present on the occasion to ensure that these complaints are resolved in a time bound manner.

9.Kerala to launch India’s first official OTT platform

The Kerala government will launch a state-owned over-the-top (OTT) platform on November 1 , which will offer film lovers a range of films, short films and documentaries of their choice. Kerala will become the first state in India to have a state-owned OTT platform . Kerala Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cherian named the OTT platform as CSPACE . Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) on behalf of CSPACE State Governmentis an initiative. The OTT platform will showcase internationally recognized and award winning films, best films and short films and documentaries screened at the annual International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) as well as films with artistic value irrespective of their box office performance. The registration of films to be streamed on CSPACE will start from June 1.

Writer and journalist, Wesley Morgan has won the William E Colby Prize 2022 for his military and intelligence writings . He was cited for his book ” The Hardest Place: The American Military Adrift in Afghanistan’s Perch Valley “. The Colby Prize, a $5,000 award named for former ambassador and CIA director William E. Colby, is awarded for “a major contribution to military history, intelligence operations, or the understanding of international affairs”. The Colby Prize is presented by Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont. The Colby Prize was established in 1999.

12.RBI: Funds implicated in fraud by government banks declined by 51 percent to Rs 40,295 crore

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that fraudulent funds of public sector banks have come down by 51 per cent to Rs 40,295.25 crore in the financial year ended March 2022 . In the information given under the Right to Information (RTI), RBI said that during 2020-21, Rs 81,921.54 crore of 12 public sector banks were implicated in fraud. Replying to an RTI application by Madhya Pradesh-based RTI activist Chandrashekhar Gaur, the central bank said 7,940 cases of fraud were reported in these banks in 2021-22, up from 9,933 in 2020-21. According to RBI data, Punjab National Bank has got the maximum amount of Rs 9,528.95 crore in fraud cases reported in these banks during 2021-22. 431 such cases have been reported in the bank.
