1.National Health Security Scheme A Revolutionary Step There is no hindrance in providing funds for this – Policy Commission :-

Policy Commission Deputy Chairman Rajiv Kumar has said that the big health plan declared in the budget will change a lot. He said that the revenue generated by the increase of one percent in the sub tax would suffice to raise its expenditure. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had announced the National Health Security Scheme in the budget of 2018-19. Its aim is to provide health insurance of five lakhs of rupees five lakhs to 10 million poor and deprived families.

 

2.Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman visited the advance posts on the India-China border in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir :-

Defense Minister Nirmala Sitaraman held talks with the jawans posted on the frontiers of the Ladakh sector of Jammu and Kashmir on the China border yesterday. The defense spokesman said that Mrs Sitaraman also visited one of the tallest peaks of Eastern Ladakh, Daulat Beg Oldi Sector and Chushul. He was informed about the preparations related to the action in advance areas. The Defense Minister appreciated the soldiers for their valor and dedication despite adverse weather and geographical difficulties.  

 

3.India defeated Australia by eight wickets to win the Under-19 Cricket World Cup for the record fourth time :-

India has won the Under-19 Cricket World Cup by defeating Australia. Team India won the record for the fourth time, giving ‘ Guru ‘ Rahul Dravid the greatest achievement of his coaching career. Indian bowlers displayed excellent performance and put Australia on 216 runs. In reply, India lost only two wickets and won the winning goal in 38 overs and five balls. Manjot Kalra scored 101 not out. He was declared Man of the Match. The President , the Prime Minister , the Sports Minister and the big personalities of the sports world have congratulated the Indian team. The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced a reward of fifty lakh rupees each to every member of the team and Chief Coach Rahul Dravid for fifty lakh rupees.

 

4.Prime Minister Narendra Modi called the northeast as the center of the Act’s East policy. Said – NDA government committed to bring qualitative changes in the lives of common man :-

5.A cargo ship registered in Panama is missing from West Bank’s Benin coast, 22 Indians in crew :-

A cargo ship registered in Panama has disappeared from Benin coast of West Africa. Its crew has 22 Indians. The owners of this tanker have sought help from the Directorate General of Shipping for coordinating ship transport departments in Nigeria and Benin to locate the ship.

7.To supply gas to North-Eastern states, one and a half kilometer long pipeline will be set up from Guwahati to Tinsukia :-

Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan has said that for supply of gas to the North-Eastern states, Numaligarh will be set up to cover one thousand five hundred kilometers of pipelines from Guwahati to Tinsukia. It will cost about 60 billion rupees. He said that the five big undertakings of the Ministry – Oil and Natural Gas Corporation , Oil India , Indian Oil Corporation , Numaligarh Oil Purifier Factory and Indian Gas Authority will form a joint venture for this project. During a global investor conference in Guwahati, Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan said in separate media that the people of Assam have been complaining that they are not getting the benefit of the oil and gas found in the state. See it The center has decided to change this notion with the help of the state government .

 

8.Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will inaugurate the first international art fair at the Lalit Kala Akademi :-

The Lalit Kala Akademi, the apex body to promote art and culture , is going to organize the first international art fair from February 4 to 18 , 2018 . Artists and art groups will be able to display their works in this art fair held from 12.00 pm to 8.00 pm in Indira Gandhi National Arts Center , New Delhi . First Vice President of India M. Vacay Naidu will inaugurate the first International Art Fair on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, the Union Culture Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma ,Academy Administrator C. S. Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary, Krishna Shetty and Member Secretary of Indira Gandhi National Center for Arts will be present. After the inauguration, Kathak will be presented by folk dance and Pandit Harish Gangani and comrades of India by the Karunadas Olaboduva dance group of Sri Lanka.
