Related imageMinister of State for Water Resources , River Development and Ganga Conservation and Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal and Minister of Water Resources , River Development and Ganga Conservation and Human Resource Development, Dr. Satyapal Singh addressed a joint press conference today. On this occasion, information was given about sanitation Pakhwada 2018 activities organized by the Ministry from March 16 to March 31, 2018.

Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal said that during this fortnight more than 100 major activities were carried out across the country. These activities were held from Rudraprayag in the north to Chennai in the south and Tezpur in the east and Vadodara in the west. The Ministry had undertaken this country-wide campaign, including all its offices, in which the subordinate organizations and public sector undertakings had cooperated. Shri Meghwal said that during this time, more than 100 water sources in different parts of the country were cleared through Shramdan.

 

3.India signed Memorandum of Understanding with ‘World Expo 2020 Dubai’ :-

Image result for World Expo 2020 DubaiIndia and World Expo 2020 signed a partnership agreement for the installation of Indian Pavilion at the exhibition here. It is worth mentioning that this prestigious World Expo 2020 is organized once in five years. Mr. Manoj K., Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, on behalf of India on contract. Mr. Najib Mohammad Al-Ali, Executive Director of Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau, from Dwivedi and Expo 2020 signed the expo site. On this occasion, Ambassador of India, Mr. Navdeep Suri, Indian Vice-President Mr. Vipul and Board of Directors of Dubai Expo – Chief International participant Dr. Tarek Shayya were present in the UAE.

 

4.National Safai Karamik Commission’s new website and mobile app launches :-

5.CWG 2018: Om Mithwal shoots on bronze in 50 meter shoots :-

Gold Coast. Indian shooters are showing amazing in Commonwealth Games On Wednesday, Shooter Om Mitrawal hit the bronze medal in the 50 meter pistol event. On the seventh day of the Games, Indian shooters Jitu Rai and Om Mitrawal joined the 50-meter pistol event. Both of them got first in the qualification round, while Mithawal made it to the final by securing Jitu 6th place. Mithawal scored a total of 549, while Jitu scored 542.

 

6.Two years later, Chennai beat KKR by 5 wickets, win on home ground :-

7.CBSE’s 10th and 12th examination canceled due to India shutdown on April 27 :-

Image result for CBSE's 10th and 12th examination canceled due India was closed by the Dalit organizations on 2 April. Due to this, the paper on that day of 10th and 12th of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was canceled in Punjab. The Board has now announced the new date for the examination. The examination will be held on April 27.

Let me tell you that on the basis of the performance of Dalits, the Punjab Government had asked the CBSE to clear the examination on April 1. After this the board had deferred the examination of April 2. The government feared that there could be disturbances during the shutdown. The precautionary government had stopped schools, colleges and internet services in Punjab. 

 

8.Japan’s Massajo Nanoka is the oldest man in the world :-

Image result for Japan's Massajo NanokaJapan’s Masajo Nankoka has been awarded the world’s oldest man’s medal. Guinness Book of World Records handed him the certificate of the oldest man on Tuesday at the residence of Nanooka on the Hokkaido island.

Nanooka was given the title after the demise of Francisco Nunez Oliveira (113) of Spain in February. Born on July 25, 1905, Nanooka lives with his family and runs a spa. A month before his birth, the great scientist Albert Einstein had interpreted the “theory of relativity”

 

9.Stock markets sluggish, metal stocks shine :-

Image result for SensexToday the Indian stock market started sluggish between the mixed international signals. The major indices Sensex and Nifty were open but not ticking in green marks and slipped into red marks in a few minutes. After 15 minutes of trading, at around 9:30 am, the Sensex is at 5 points above the level of 33885, while the Nifty is trading at a flat level of 10402.

In today’s session, shopping is seen in select mid-caps and smallcap stocks. On the National Stock Exchange, both the indices are trading in green mark. Experts believe that the rising prices of crude for the Indian stock market are the biggest concern at this time. Brent crude prices are close to $ 71 a barrel.

 

10.Pakistan denies playing in India; now it will be played here Asia Cup :-

Image result for Pakistan denies playing in IndiaDue to lack of permission to play in India, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has decided to move the next Asia Cup from India to UAE. Asia Cup will be held in Dubai from September 13 to 28. Due to not being bilateral series between India and Pakistan, Pakistan refused to participate in the tournament held in India, considering that it has been decided to make this tournament in the UAE.

This decision was taken at the ACC meeting in Kuala Lumpur. On behalf of the BCCI, Board CEO Rahul Johri participated in this meeting who expressed doubts about the possibility of playing Pakistan in India. Asia Cup is organized by altering T20 and ODI formats. Keeping in mind the World Cup last time, it was organized in the T20 format.
