1.The Cabinet approved the Bhopal Metro Rail Project in:-
this project, two rail corridors will be constructed from Karonad circle to AIIMS and Bhadbhada intersection to Ratnagiri Tiraha.
The Union Cabinet has approved the Bhopal Metro Rail Project under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Under this project, two rail corridors will be made from Karond Circle to AIIMS and from Bhadbhada intersection to Ratnagiri Thirahah, whose total length is 27.87 km. Out of these, the AIIMS corridor from Karond Circle will be 14.99 km and Ratnagiri Tiraha Galiara with 12.88 km from Bhadbhada intersection. These corridors will connect the major areas of Bhopal.
Details :
The Metro Rail line between the AIIMS through Karonad circle will be elevated above the ground in most parts.
Only part of Bhopal railway station and bus station will remain underground. There will be 16 stations on this railway route. Of which 14 are above ground and 2 are underground.
There will be 14 stations on the metro line between Ratnagiri Thirah from Bhadbhada intersection, which will be all over the land.
This railway project will provide affordable, dependable, safe and uninterrupted transportation services in the city’s populated areas. By which the accidents will decrease, travel time will be saved, energy consumption and pollution will be reduced and urban expansion and use of land will be better controlled for sustainable development.
An estimated cost of Rs. 6941.40 crores will be spent on this project. This project will be completed in 4 years.
Benefits :
Bhopal’s metro rail project will benefit from the densely populated area of 23 lakhs Bhopal, directly or indirectly. The two rail corridors, which are to be built under the project, will be multi-models, which will be connected to the railway stations. Feeder bus service network will be available for these Metro Rail Stations. This metro rail project will also generate revenue through passenger hire and through rentals and advertisements and VCF.
The surrounding areas of the metro rail corridor will benefit greatly from this project. People from these areas will be able to take advantage of the metro rail service for various parts of the city.
The Metro Rail line between Karams from AIIMS, connecting the densely populated areas with bus stations, railway stations and AIIMS, passing through the central part of the city. Rail line between Bhadbhad and Ratnagiri connects the areas of smart city under Bhopal to industrial areas of BFEL and its adjoining areas. This Metro Rail project will provide an environmentally friendly and sustainable public transport service.
Project Progress :
To implement the project, a separate company has been formed in the name of Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Company Limited.
Will be done on the same basis from the funding center and the state government of Madhya Pradesh for the project. Some parts will also be offered by the European Investment Bank.
For the project, M / s DB Engineering and Consulting GNBH and M / s Luis Barzer SAS M / s have been formed as consultancy companies for Geo Data Engineering Companies. Tenders have been invited for the first civil works of the project. Work will start soon.

United Nations General Secretary Antonio Guterres awarded the ‘Champions of the Earth Award 2018’ to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for policy leadership capability in the Overseas Center in New Delhi.
On this occasion, Executive Director of United Nations Environment, Mr. Eric Solihim, External Affairs Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj and Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Environment, Dr. Mahesh Sharma were also present.

5.Smart City not offering Qutubkhan Overbridge:-

Announcement of bridge in smart city scheme

About 45 crores will cost
Beginning with Kotwali, the length of proposed overbridge at Kohabapahar crossroads from Kutubakhana intersection will be around 1600 meters. The bridge is expected to cost around 45 crores in this bridge. According to the expert, about 30 million rupees are spent in construction of a thousand meter long bridge. Based on this, there is a possibility of spending about 45 crores in the construction of the bridge. The estimate of Shyamganj Overbridge was also about thirty million rupees.

1.Several year-long events were organized in Sri Lanka and China to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary:-
Several programs were organized in neighboring countries of Sri Lanka and China in the celebration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, which runs throughout the year. A book written on Mahatma Gandhi’s Sri Lanka tour was unveiled at the Indian High Commission in Colombo. Speaker of the Parliament Karu Jayasurya was present as the chief guest on this occasion. Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary is also celebrated as International Nonviolence Day. There will hardly be such a point on this occasion where Pujya Bapu is not being missed. Many countries have formed Mahatma Gandhi’s ideas as part of his governance system.
To celebrate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, people of all classes gathered in Chaoyang Park, Beijing, China. In China, the cultural team of the Indian Embassy sang the most beloved hymns of Gandhiji and the school children narrated Gandhi Sutriya.

2. Iraq’s parliament elected senior Kurdish leader Barham Saleh as the new president of the country:-

1.India will face Nepal in semi-finals of Saif Football Under-18 tournament:-
India will face Nepal in the semi-finals of South Asian Football Tournament of women players below 18 years of age. In Bhutan, Thimphu defeated Maldives by 8 goals in their group match. The Maldives team could not score any goals.
In the second semi-final, Bangladesh will have to face Bhutan. The final match will be played on Sunday.
2.Under-19 Asia Cup: India beat Afghanistan by 51 runs in semi-finals:-
In the Under-19 Asia Cup Cricket Tournament, Afghanistan have won the semifinal by defeating Afghanistan by 51 runs. India will face Bangladesh in the semi-final on Thursday. The final will be played on Sunday.
India batted first and lost all wickets in 45.3 overs and scored 221 runs. Afghanistan’s team lost to the match on 170 runs in 45.4 overs. Successful Jayswal of India scored 92 and Ayush Badoni scored 65 runs.
3. Mushtaq Ahmed becomes Hockey India President:-
Mohammed Mushtaq of Hockey Bihar has been elected the new president of Hockey India (HI), the National Institute of Sports after the elections of the eighth Hockey India Congress and office bearers.

1.Sensex Today: Sensex down 200 points, Nifty down:-
The Indian stock market is not taking the name of the end of the decline period. After the market closed due to Gandhi Jayanti on , the market started trading with the fall . In this, both the Sensex and the Nifty fell below. At the beginning of the day, the Sensex fell by nearly 200 points to 36300. On the other hand, the Nifty was down by 61 points to 10943. Oil marketing companies were seen in the deficit because of the rising cost of crude oil . In the beginning of the day, Yes Bank, Sun Pharma, ONGC, HDFC were open on green mark. At the same time, ITC, TCS, Reliance, NTPC, Tata Motors, Hero Motors, Bharti Airtel, Maruti, Asian Paints, ICICI Bank etc. were in the deficit.
2.SIDBI launched Entrepreneurship Awareness Campaign at National Level – Enterprises Wish:-
Indian Small Enterprises Development Bank – SIDBI has launched entrepreneurship awareness campaign – enterprise awareness at the national level.
