1.PM Modi to open Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show in Gujarat:-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Gujarat. Upon his arrival, Mr Modi will first inaugurate the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show’ in Gandhinagar. An official release said the event is an integral part of the ninth edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit which the Prime Minister will inaugurate. The Trade Show will showcase more than 25 industrial and business sectors under one umbrella.Mr Modi will also dedicate to the nation the newly-constructed Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Ahmedabad. It is a state of the art, the super-speciality public hospital built by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and is equipped with all modern amenities, including an air ambulance. Mr Modi will also inaugurate the Ahmedabad Shopping Festival at Sabarmati River Front. It is the first event of its kind in India which will provide an opportunity for city enterprises to showcase their products. The Prime Minister would address gatherings at both the places.Mr Modi will inaugurate the three-day Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit. The summit provides a platform for brainstorming on agendas of global socio-economic development, knowledge sharing and forging effective partnerships. The theme of the Summit is ‘Youth Connect 2019: Shaping A New India – The Story of Billion Dreams’. Fifteen countries including Australia, Canada, France and Japan have agreed to be partner countries this year.
the Prime Minister visit Hazira industrial area near Surat to mark the setting up of the Hazira Gun Factory. From Hazira, Mr Modi will head to Silvassa, the capital of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. There, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects. The Prime Minister will also go to Mumbai. He will inaugurate the new building of the National Museum of Indian Cinema.

2.Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the 9th International Micro Irrigation Conference in Aurangabad, Maharashtra:-

Central Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Conservation Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the 9th International Micro Irrigation Conference in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. On this occasion, he said that the Central Government is making many new efforts in the field of water conservation. He said that the Center is supporting the State Governments facing financial constraints in irrigation projects.

The main theme of the conference, organized by Central Water Resources River Development and Ganga Protection Ministry, is the micro-irrigation and modern agriculture. The exhibition and Jan Jagaran Abhiyan will also be organized in a three-day conference to promote micro irrigation on a large scale. A total of 740 representatives, including 100 representatives from 56 countries, are participating in the conference.

3.President will inaugurate Gandhian Resurgence Top Conference in Prayagraj:-

President Shri Ramnath Kovind will visit Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and inaugurate Gandhian Resurrection Top Conference here. The top conference was organized by Parmarth Niketan, Harijan Sevak Sangh and the Global Interfaith Wash Alliance.

4.India’s Satyarup becomes world’s youngest mountaineer  to climb 7 peaks, 7 volcano summits:-

Mountaineer Satyarup Siddhanta today conquered Antartica’s highest point, Mount Sidley. With this feat, he became the first Indian and youngest man to climb the seven highest peaks and volcanic summits across all continents. According to the in-Reach Satellite, Communicator Satyarup was carrying, he summited Mount Sidley at 6. 28 in the morning  Indian Standard Time at a temperature of minus 40-degree Celsius. He achieved the feat at the age of 35 years and 262 days.  Australia’s Daniel Bull had done it at the age of 36 years 157 days. Last year, Satyarup had scaled the highest volcanic peak in North America, Pico de Orizaba.Satyarup hails from Haridevpur in South Kolkata and is a software engineer by profession.

5.Maharashtra tops with 177 medals in India Youth Games:-

Maharashtra plays at the first place with 177 medals in the India Youth Games. Among them, 64 gold medals are included. Delhi is at second place, which has received 47 medals including 47 gold. Haryana is at number three. He has received 110 medals including 37 gold.According to our correspondent, “under-17 girls of Maharashtra and Delhi in the Games India Youth Games Competition entered Kho-Kho Finals today. Today in the semi-finals Maharashtra defeated Punjab 7-6 and Delhi also defeated Gujarat 7-6. The league match of basketball started today too. Rajasthan and Haryana registered their victory. Competition in today’s competition will be the competition of basketball, hockey, kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Table Tennis and Bowling.  five gold medals will be decided in the shoot. “

6.Under the GST system, the government constituted a group of Ministers with seven members to promote the real estate sector:-

The Government has constituted a Group of Ministers with seven members to promote the real estate sector under the object and service tax-GST system. Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel will be the convenor of this group. The Finance Minister of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Panjab and Uttar Pradesh and the Panchayat Minister of Goa will be the other members of the Committee.The GST Council had decided to set up a Group of Ministers in its meeting last week.

7.Reserve Bank of India will release Rs. 10,000 crores on January 17 to increase cash in financial system:-

The Reserve Bank of India said it will release Rs 10,000 crore through the purchase of government securities on January 17 to increase the cash in the financial system. The Reserve Bank said in a statement that this purchase will be done through open bidding. The results of the bid will be announced on the same day and the successful participants will be paid the following day. the Reserve Bank is planning to issue cash of Rs 50,000 crore through open market purchase-OMO.
