 1.5th Smart Cities India 2019 Expo ‘s opening has been:-

5th Smart Cities India 2019 Expo, which includes Transport India, Solar India, Buildings India and Water India Expo, was inaugurated by Durga Shankar Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. .It was organized by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) and the Exhibition India Group.Through this program, a huge demonstration of relevant products and solutions for building smart cities in India, the program creates the ‘Smart Cities Mission’ of the Government of India.

2.Modi will be elected as BJP parliamentary party leader , swearing on May 3:-

After the historic victory in the 17th Lok Sabha election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi (BJP) will be formally elected the leader of parliamentary party on Saturday. For this, the BJP has asked all its newly elected MPs to be present in Delhi. After being elected leader of the parliamentary party, Modi will present a claim to form the government by handing the list of MPs to the government. It is believed that by the end of this month, they will once again take oath of office with the new cabinet.In any case, selecting the leader of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the meeting of the parliamentary party is just a formality. But during this time, he will be the first to meet all the newly elected MPs of the party. Prime Minister Modi has been elected Lok Sabha MP for the second time. In 2014, for the first time in the form of MP, bowing before his admission in Parliament building bowed his stairs. Modi said that he considers Parliament as a temple of democracy. Not only this, Modi had become emotional while speaking to LK Advani’s gratitude for the first time in the Lok Sabha to get a full majority in the Lok Sabha. Once again on Saturday they will address the elected MPs of the 17th Lok Sabha. This time, he will also share his five-year experience as a Member of Parliament and especially the new MPs, in a dignified way, to take part in the proceedings of the House.After being elected the leader of the parliamentary party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over the list of all MPs of BJP and NDA allies to the President and claim to form the government. It is believed that at the end of this month, they can swear on the new cabinet on May 30. But before swearing, they can go to Benaras too. After filing nomination for election, the Prime Minister never went to Benaras for election campaign. Before taking oath, they will thank the people for winning the election by going to Benaras.

3.DRDO test fires guided bomb from Sukhoi combat jet:-

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully test-fired an indigenously-developed 500 kg class guided bomb from a Sukhoi combat jet at Pokhran in Rajasthan. Defence Ministry said in New Delhi that the guided bomb achieved the desired range and hit the target with high precision.The ministry said, all the mission objectives have been met during the test firing of the bomb, adding it is capable of carrying different warheads.The test firing of the guided bomb came two days after the Indian Air Force successfully test fired the aerial version of the supersonic BrahMos cruise missile from a Sukhoi jet at the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The 2.5-tonne air-to-surface missile has a range of around 300 km, and it will significantly enhance the IAF’s combat capability.

4.Will fulfil dreams of 130 crore Indians: PM Modi:-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that his government is even more determined to fulfil the dreams of 130 crore Indians and create the New India that all of us dreamt of.In a tweet, after submitting his resignation to the President, Mr Modi said, the sun sets on this term but the brightness, our work has brought will continue to illuminate the lives of millions. He said a new dawn awaits, a new term beckons.

 5.ICAT organizes International Conference on Noise, Vibration and Happiness :-

International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT ) organized International Conference and Workshop on Automotive Noise , Vibration and Happiness (INVH ) at  ICT, Manesar  on May 23 and 24 , 2019 .This was the fifth program of a series of biennial training programs on automotive NVH organized by ICAT . From this INVH conference and workshop series , the aim of ICAT is to create awareness and provide a platform for exchange of information for business and academics by involving well-known experts in this field.In this two-day event, about 220 delegates from different sections of the auto industry participated. The sessions organized during the program focused on various research and development activities , industry processes, testing methods and standards. A panel discussion was also organized in the face of the NVH challenges facing the auto industry. In order to give a global perspective to the current trends in the NVH sector, participants were also discussed about NVH problem-solving strategies and the basic elements of NVH technology.Speakers of the major research and development institutes , Mahindra Research Valley , Tata Technologies Limited , Mahindra Trucks and Buses , Siemens PLM Software , 3M India , Comster Auto ,Adams Technologies , Apollo Tires , Mahindra Tractors participated in this conference. Representatives of Automotive NVH-Existing Challenges and future trends , Squeak and Rattle of Indian OEMs – Development Challenges , Tractor NVH , Tire and Road Friction ,Motor noise and the importance of NVH software in Indian industry, such as automotive NVH, share their information about many issues. Various demonstrations were also organized in this event about proper evaluation, model testing, sound quality , source localization.

6.WHO by Algeria , Argentina, the malaria -free declaration made:-

World Health Organization (WHO) declares Algeria and Argentina to be malaria-free, in which there are no recorded cases of indigenous transmission of disease since 2013 and 2010 respectively.Contracted with an infected mosquito bite, Malaria is one of the world’s leading killers.Algeria is the second country in the WHO African region, which was officially recognized as a malaria free after Mauritius, which was certified in 1973.Argentina is the second country in the US WHO region to be certified after Paraguay in June 2018.

7.India bags 57 medals at India Open International tournament:-

India bags a total of 57 medals including 12 Gold, 18 Silver and 27 Bronze at India Open International Boxing tournament in Guwahati.MC Mary Kom, Shiva Thapa, L Sarita Devi and Naman Tanwar won gold in their respective finals. The London Olympic bronze medallist blew away the challenge of Vanlal Duati in a facile 5-0 win.This was Mary’s second gold in the tournament, having won in 48 kg last year in the capital. On the other hand, Deepak defeated Govind Kumar in 49 kg final while in 52 kg category – Amit Panghal defeated Sachin.
In women’s 54 kg, local favourite Jamuna Boro defeated Sandhyarani and also qualified for the World Championship. In men’s 69 kg Aashish clinched the Gold, while in women’s 57 kg category Neeraj won the final

8.Mary Kom to fight for Gold medal at India Open International Tournament:-

In Boxing, six-time world champion MC Mary Kom will fight for the Gold medal at the second edition of the India Open International Tournament at Guwahati in Assam this afternoon.In the 51 kg Final, Mary Kom will take on Vanlal Duati of Mizoram. The veteran Manipuri boxer had won a Bronze in the 48 kg category at the 2012 London Olympics.
48 kg division is now no longer there in the Olympic Games, which is why she is competing in the higher 51 kg ahead of next year’s Tokyo Games.Several other Indian pugilists will also play for Gold medals in different categories today.
These include 17 Indians had stormed into the Final in 10 weight categories.

 9.Bridge FC has Indian women league champions to win:-

Setu FC defeated Manipur Police SC 3-1 to win Indian women league trophySetu FC from Madurai became the champion of the third edition of the Indian Women League at Guru Nanak Stadium in Ludhiana.Behind the 0-1 in the first half, Setu FC defeated Manipur Police SC by 3-1 in the final to make a fantastic comeback.
