  1. Agreement on ‘Greater Male Project’ of Maldives signed

An agreement was signed between the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure of Maldives and Indian company AFCON for the ‘ Greater Male Connectivity Project (GMCP)’ to be prepared with the financial assistance of India . This is the biggest infrastructure project in Maldives. India is funding it. For this , financial assistance of $ 100 million and loan assistance of $ 400 million will be given. Under the plan, a 6.74 km long bridge and bridge link will be built in Male and the project will connect the capital Male to the nearby islands Villingali, Gulhifalhu and Thilaphushi. Will connect with The Government of India is funding the implementation of the GMCP through a Line of Credit (LoC) of US$ 400 million and a grant of US$ 100 million. The LoC of USD 400 million will be provided by the Export-Import Bank of India (Exim Bank).

Shares the common ethos of benchmarking performance and ranking on SDGs to promote competition among districts, as well as being the principal and authoritative tool for monitoring progress on SDGs on Union Territories. Out of the 103 districts earmarked for ranking order, 64 were in the Leading category, while 39 districts were in the Doing category in the overall score and ranking of the districts. All the districts of Sikkim and Tripura fall under the Front Runner category and there is no district in the Aspirant or Achiever category. East Sikkim [issue 75.87] ranks first in this region,

Jaishankar has said that India is a member of the Universal Postal Union-UPU ‘s Council of Administration and Postal Operations Council .It is very important to be selected. In a tweet, the External Affairs Minister congratulated the team of the Ministry of External Affairs and said that India will help strengthen the Universal Postal Union. In fact, India has registered a landslide victory in the elections for two councils in the 27th Universal Postal Union Congress 2021. In the 27th Universal Postal Union Congress held in Abidjan, India was elected to the Administrative Council (CA) with 134 votes. In the elections held for this council, India got the highest number of votes from South Asia and Oceania region. India has also been elected to the Postal Operations Council (Postal Operations Council) (POC). To join this council, India got the support (vote) of 106 countries out of 156 countries. As a United Nations-specialist agency with more than 192 member states, the UPU serves as the primary forum for international cooperation for the global postal industry. The Universal Postal Union (UPU) was established in 1874 as a general postal union after a treaty signed at the Postal Congress (Bern) (in force since 1875). The name Global Postal Union was adopted in 1878.

  • The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has launched the Product Innovation, Development and Growth (SAMRIDH) program for MeitY of Start-up Accelerators . The program was inaugurated by Shri Ashwini Vaishnav, Union Minister, Meitwa. The SAMRIDH program aims to make Indian software product start-ups a conducive platform for enhancing their products and securing investments to grow their business. The program is being implemented by MeitY Start-up Hub (MSH). It will focus on accelerating 300 start-ups over the next three years by providing customer connect, investor connect and international immersion. Investments up to Rs 40 lakh will be provided to start-ups through selected accelerators.
  1. RBI covers beneficiaries of PM Svanidhi Yojana under PIDF scheme
  • Reserve Bank of India has paid Infrastructure Development Fund ( Payments Infrastructure Development Fund – PIDF ) beneficiaries as under Prime Street vendor independent fund ( PM Swnidi plan -PM SVANidhi SchemeInclusion of street vendors from Tier-I and Tier-II centers identified as part of the Payments Infrastructure Development Fund (PIDF) scheme launched by RBI to encourage deployment of Points of Sale (PoS) infrastructure (both physical and digital mode) in Tier-3 to Tier-6 centers and North Eastern States Was. Now RBI has specifically allowed street vendors from Tier-1 and Tier-2 centers to be part of PIDF scheme. Street vendors from Tier-3 to Tier-6 centers will continue to be covered under the scheme by default. PIDF currently has Rs. There is a corpus of 345 crores.

  • India’s first sectoral index in Agri Commodity Baskete. GUAREX National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange Limited ( NCDEX)) was launched. GUAREX is a price based sectoral index that tracks the movement in Guar Gum Refined Splits and Guar Seed futures contracts on real time basis. This index will provide a lot of opportunities to the product value chain. Guarseed and guar gum refined splits will have 63 per cent and 37 per cent weightage, respectively, in the index. Index futures will be cash settled. Initially, Guarex futures contracts expiring in September and October will be made available for trading. India is the world’s largest guar producer with 80-85 per cent production, while Rajasthan is the country’s top producer with 80 per cent market share. So far this year, guarseed was sown in 1.81 million hectares, which is 2.2% in the same period last year.

  1. Ohmium Launches India’s First Green Hydrogen Electrolyzer Gigafactory
  • US-based Ohmiam International ( Ohmium International ) in Bangalore, Karnataka , India’s first green hydrogen Ilektrolaijr ( Green Hydrogen Electrolyzer) manufacturing unit is started. The factory will manufacture Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) hydrogen electrolysers manufactured in India. Green hydrogen is made from non-fossil sources, while blue hydrogen is made from fossil sources. Making green hydrogen in India will provide cost benefits to the manufacturers instead of importing them. The Gigafactory will manufacture Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) hydrogen electrolysers manufactured in India, with an initial manufacturing capacity of about 500 MW per year and increasing it to 2 GW per year.
