1 America declared Pak-backed ‘TRF’ a terrorist organization

The US has put the Pak-backed The Resistance Front (TRF), responsible for the Pahalgam attack, on the list of Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) . Such a decision has been taken on the demand of US President Donald Trump . This is being considered a major diplomatic success for India. A mask and proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), TRF claimed responsibility for the attack in Pahalgam , India on April 22, 2025 , in which 26 civilians were killed . This was Lashkar’s deadliest attack on civilians in India after the Mumbai attacks in 2008. TRF has also claimed responsibility for several attacks on Indian security forces, including the 2024 attack. The Indian government declared TRF a terrorist organization on January 5, 2023.
2 Amethi’s assault rifle AK-203 will become indigenous ‘Lion’ by December 2025

Taking a significant step towards India’s defence self-reliance, Indo-Russian Rifles Private Limited (IRRPL) located in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh will start fully indigenous production of AK-203 assault rifle by December 2025. This rifle will be known as ‘ Sher ‘ in the Indian Army, which is going to become a strong symbol of India’s ‘ Make in India ‘ campaign. The IRRPL plant, established in Korwa, Amethi , is the result of defence cooperation between India and Russia. This joint venture is operated in collaboration with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Rosoboronexport of Russia. The AK-203, a modern version of the world famous Kalashnikov rifle, is known for its reliability and performance in difficult conditions. By December 2025, all the parts of this rifle will be manufactured in India itself, making it completely indigenous. It is a 7.62×39 mm calibre rifle, which provides high accuracy, long range, and better performance in difficult conditions. This rifle will replace the old INSAS rifle of the Indian Army, which will significantly increase the firepower of the army. IRRPL has set a target of handing over 6 lakh AK-203 rifles to the Indian Army by 2030 .
3 IICT campus inaugurated in Mumbai

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday inaugurated the first campus of the Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) in Mumbai . Envisioned as a “ creative IIT ” on the lines of India’s premier technical and management institutes, IICT will provide skill-based training in modern content technologies (VFX, post-production, animation, gaming and creative IT). The first phase of the campus has been built at a cost of Rs 400 crore. The project has been launched at Film City in Goregaon in collaboration with the Maharashtra government and Chief Minister Fadnavis. A modern training institute has been set up in this campus, where courses ranging from 6 months to 2 years will be run. An MoU was signed between ‘Prasar Bharati’ and ‘Maharashtra Film, Theatre and Cultural Development Corporation Limited’ in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Mr. Vaishnaw. The two entities are collaborating to develop an integrated film and television media centre. It aims to encourage innovation and skills development and promote international competitiveness in the media and entertainment sector.
4 56th edition of IFFI to be held in Goa from 20 to 28 November

The first meeting of the Steering Committee for the 56th International Film Festival of India, Goa was held on Friday at the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) headquarters in Mumbai . Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw chaired the meeting. The meeting focused on strategic planning for IFFI 2025 , which included detailed discussions on programming, outreach, talent engagement and innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing the festival’s inclusiveness, global positioning and mass participation. The 56th edition of IFFI will be held in Goa from November 20 to 28, 2025. The festival will bring new opportunities for student filmmakers and young content creators through curated masterclasses, industry workshops and networking platforms that will connect new talent with global mentors.
5 Arjun Ram Meghwal inaugurated ‘Mahila Arogya Kaksha’ to promote women’s health and well-being

In a move to institutionalise workplace health in government corridors , Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Friday inaugurated the ‘ Mahila Arogya Room ‘, a thoughtfully designed health, fitness and wellness space for women employees of the Department of Law Affairs. The Mahila Arogya Room, which was previously an unused garage, has been transformed into a vibrant, health-focused space equipped with exercise equipment and a private breastfeeding room for lactating mothers.

Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana has received the prestigious Open-Source GIS Cohort Award for efficient use of Geographic Information System-GIS in public life . District Collector Jitesh V. Patil received the award at a function held in Mumbai . Bhadradri Kothagudem district has been given this award for the use of GIS in solving public problems including flood forecasting in Godavari river, skill development and integration of data received from various departments. Mr. Patil said that cotton and maize farmers are being motivated to connect with drumstick production with the help of GIS.
7 US President Donald Trump suffers from a disease called Venus Insufficiency

US President Donald Trump has been diagnosed with venous insufficiency . In this disease, which occurs especially in people over 70 years of age, the blood flow from the legs to the heart is not normal and the blood accumulates in the legs. Chronic venous insufficiency (What is Chronic Venous Insufficiency) is a condition of long-term weakness of veins, when the veins of the legs are unable to function properly. The job of these veins is to carry blood back from the legs to the heart, but when these veins get damaged, the blood starts accumulating below. This increases the pressure in the veins and many problems begin.
8 Indian wrestlers at Polak Imre and Varga Janos Memorial Tournament held in Hungary

Indian women wrestlers won four medals including two gold, one silver and one bronze at the Polak Imre and Varga Janos Memorial Tournament in Budapest , Hungary . Olympian Anant Panghal won the gold medal defeating Russia’s Natalia Malysheva 7-4 in the 53kg category final. This is her second international gold medal this year after her victory at the Ulaanbaatar Open in May. Harshita won India’s second gold medal of the day in the 72kg category. She defeated four-time Asian champion Zhamila Bakbergenova of Kazakhstan 10-0 in the final round. Meanwhile, Neha Sangwan had to settle for a silver medal after losing to former Olympic champion Helen Maroulis of the USA in the 57kg category final . In the 50kg category, Neelam won a bronze medal defeating Belarusian wrestler Xenia Stankevich . India’s total medal tally at the Budapest meet has gone up to six. India had won two medals on the opening day of the tournament on Thursday with Sujeet Kalkal winning gold in the 65kg men’s freestyle while Rahul won bronze in the 57kg category . The Polak Imre and Varga Janos Memorial in Budapest is the fourth and last Wrestling Ranking Series of the year.
