1. Successful launch of 36 satellites of Web India-2 mission from Satish Dhawan Space Center of Sriharikota of Indian Space Research Organisation.

India’s  LVM3  rocket   launched 36 satellites  of  UK –  based  OneWeb  from  the Sri Harikota satellite launch site . LVM3 on its  sixth consecutive successful flight In 2010, the vehicle placed 36 satellites belonging to OneWeb Group Company into their intended 450 km circular orbit with an inclination of 87.4°. The 43.5 meter tall LVM 3 rocket weighing 643 tonnes launched 36 satellites weighing 5,805 kg or about 5.8 tonnes. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has named the mission as LVM3-M3/OneWeb India-2. The name ‘OneWeb’ in the OneWeb India Mission belongs to the UK based OneWeb Group Company. The agreement was signed between OneWeb and NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the commercial arm of ISRO. October 23, the first set of 36 satellites 2022 was launched. LVM3 is ISRO’s heaviest live launch vehicle which has completed five successful flights so far including Chandrayaan-2 mission. In fact, Britain’s OneWeb Group Company had tied up with NewSpace India Limited, the commercial arm of ISRO, to launch 72 satellites. LVM3 (GSLV-Mk III) is a three-stage rocket, with the first stage powered by liquid fuel, two strap-on motors powered by solid fuel, the second by liquid fuel and the third by cryogenic engines. ISRO’s heavy lift rocket has a payload capacity of 10 tonnes to Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and four tonnes to Geo Transfer Orbit (GTO). Second by liquid fuel and third by cryogenic engine. 2. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah inaugurated the Gorata Martyr Memorial and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial in Bidar, Karnataka and unfurled the 103 feet high tricolor at Gorata Maidan

Union Home and Cooperation Minister  Shri Amit Shah  inaugurated   the  Gorata Martyr Memorial  and  Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Memorial  in  Bidar , Karnataka and  unfurled the  103  feet high tricolor at Gorata ground. The Martyr’s Memorial  is built in memory of those killed by the forces of the Nizam of Hyderabad   during an attempt to raise the national flag  in 1948 . On this occasion, former Chief Minister of Karnataka  Shri B. S.  Many dignitaries including Yediyurappa were present.

3. Anurag Behar’s new book ‘A Matter of the Heart: Education in India’

Anurag Behar ,  CEO of Azim Premji Foundation  and Founding Vice President of Azim Premji University, has written a new travel book titled ‘ A Matter of the Heart: Education in India ‘. The book is a collection of 110 stories written by Behar’s Foundation. It is based on experiences working in India and sheds light on the state of education in India beyond the big cities.

4. NGT slaps Rs 10 crore fine on Kerala government for failing to protect Ramsar sites

 The Principal Bench of  the National Green Tribunal  in  New Delhi  has imposed a fine of Rs 10 crore on the Kerala government  for failing to check the indiscriminate pollution of  Vembanad and Ashtamudi lakes,  listed as  Ramsar sites . It said while disposing of a petition alleging failure of statutory and administrative authorities to protect Vembanad and Ashtamudi lakes affected by illegal garbage dumping.

5. Luis Caffarelli wins 2023 Abel Prize

Lewis Caffarelli  has   been awarded the 2023 Abel Prize . He has been given this award   for his contribution to the mathematics of nonlinear partial equations and free-boundary problems . Lewis, who grew up in Argentina, became the first South African to receive the Abel Prize. Lewis is a professor at the University of Texas. This most prestigious award in mathematics is considered equivalent to the Nobel Prize. For the first time this award was given to Jean Pierre in 2003 for modernizing many parts of mathematics. The Abel Prize was started in honor of the famous mathematician Niels Hernick. The Norwegian government instituted the award in 2001 and the first award was given to Jean Pierre in 2003.

6. 4% increase in dearness allowance of central employees

 Taking a big decision in the cabinet meeting,  the central government  has made a big increase in dearness allowance . DA  has been increased by 4 percent  . The central government has increased the dearness allowance by 4 percent to 42 percent. Union Minister Anurag Thakur gave this information. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that the government will spend Rs 12815 crore on DA hike. After this increase, the dearness allowance of central employees will increase from 38 percent to 42 percent.

7. Haldwani will get Sports University: Chief Minister of Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand  Chief Minister  Pushkar Singh Dhami  said that   the first  sports university of the state  will be established in Haldwani city of Kumaon. Speaking at a program organized in Dehradun on the occasion of completion of one year of his government’s tenure, Dhami said that sports university was being demanded by sportspersons and various sports associations for a long time. He said that international level sports university will be established soon by upgrading Haldwani international stadium.

8. Asian Hockey Federation made Salima Tete the athlete ambassador of Asia continent

Salima Tete,  a member of  the Indian women’s hockey team  in several international hockey matches including  the Tokyo Olympics,  has  been appointed by the Asian Hockey Federation  as the Athletics Ambassador of the Asian continent from 25 March 2023 to 25 March 2025. As Athlete Ambassador of the Asian Hockey Federation, she will play a leadership role in the international representation, development and advocacy of athletes. Promote awareness of athletes’ rights and athletes’ welfare. Salima Tete is a resident of Barkichhapar village under Sadar block of Simdega district of Jharkhand. Starting with the junior Indian women’s team in the past 2016, she has represented India in many international hockey matches including Tokyo Olympics, World Cup, Commonwealth Games.

9. Mumbai Indians became the first champion of WPL

Mumbai Indians  clinched the inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League  by defeating  Delhi Capitals  in the final  . The entire team under the leadership of Captain  Harmanpreet  performed strongly. Natalie Sciver Brunt  scored an unbeaten half-century in Mumbai’s win  .

10. India’s pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty won the men’s doubles title at the Swiss Open Badminton tournament in Basel.

 India’s   pair of  Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty  has won the men’s doubles title in the Swiss Open Badminton tournament . In the final, the second seeded pair of Satwik and Chirag  defeated the Chinese  pair  of  Ren Xiang Yu and Ten Qiang 21-19, 24-22 in a hard-fought match. This is India’s first title this year. The pair of Satwik and Chirag had crashed out in the second round of the All England Championship last week. This is the fifth career world title for the Indian pair. The Indian pair won the India Open and the French Open last year, besides the Thailand Open in 2019 and the Hyderabad Open in 2018. The pair of Satwik and Chirag had also won the gold medal in the Commonwealth Games last year. women’s doubles The title  was won by the Japanese  pair of   Rena  Miyaura and Ayako Sapporamoto . Thailand’s Pornpawee Chochuwang  won the women’s singles  title  . She defeated Mia Blickfeldt of Denmark 21-16, 21-18 in the final. Japan’s Watanabe Koki  defeated in-form Taiwan’s Chou Tien-Chen 22-20, 18-21, 21-12 to win the Swiss Open men’s singles title.

11. Four gold medals for India in the World Women’s Boxing Championship

Nikhat Zareen  and  Lovlina Borgohain  have won  gold medals  in their respective weight categories   at  the World Women’s Boxing Championships  in  New Delhi . In the 50 kg light flyweight category,  Nikhat  defeated Vietnam  ‘s  Nguyen Thi Tam  5-0 in the final. Nikhat, six-time world champion  M.C. After Mary Kom,  she has become the second Indian  to win this title twice  . Lovlina won India’s fourth gold medal in the competition by defeating Australia  ‘s  Annie Caitlin Parker  on points  in the final of   75 kg middle weight category . before this Neetu Ghanghas  and  Sweety Boora  won gold medals in their respective weight categories. Nikhat had also won the gold medal in the Women’s World Boxing Championship last year. Earlier, Indian veteran boxer MC Mary Kom has won gold medal in this championship a record 6 times (2002, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2018).

13. India won bronze medals on the first day of the World Youth Weightlifting Championships

 India’s  Jyoshna Sabar  and  Dhanush Loganathan  won bronze medals  in their respective weight categories on  the opening day of the World Youth Weightlifting Championships  in  Albania .  Fourteen-year-old Jyoshna finished third in the girls’  40 kg category with a total lift of 115 kg. In the boys’  49kg category,  16-year-old Dhanush lifted a total of 200kg to finish third. He also won a silver medal in the snatch category.

14. Director Pradeep Sarkar passed away at the age of 67

Pradeep Sarkar , a noted  film director who  directed  successful films such as  Parineeta  and  Mardaani , passed away at the age of 67. He made his directorial debut in 2005 with the film Parineeta, starring Vidya Balan in the lead role, and has also directed other popular films such as Laga Chunari Mein Daag, Helicopter Eela and Lafangey Parindey. Apart from this, he also directed several web series, including Coldd Lassi Aur Chicken Masala, Arranged Marriage and Forbidden Love and Duranga. Sarkar received several awards for his work, including the Filmfare Award for Best Art Direction and Zee Sign Award for Most Promising Director for Parineeta in 2005, and the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director in 2006. found.
