  • Neeraj Chopra named after Maharashtra ‘s Pune -based Army Sports Institute Stadium now “ Neeraj Chopra Stadium ” ( Neeraj Chopra Stadium will be called). Neeraj Chopra Stadium, Army Sports Institute (ASI), Pune Cantt was unveiled by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. During his visit to Pune,Defense Minister Rajnath Singh felicitated the players of all the three wings of the Army who participated in the Olympics. He was accompanied by Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane and Commander of the Southern Command, Lt Gen JS Nain.

  • Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakurlaunched the Fit India Mobile App to celebrate the second anniversary of the Fit India campaign and as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav .launched. The Fit India app is available on both Android and iOS platforms and is designed to work on regular smartphones as well. This mobile application will help to monitor fitness and through this application it has been tried to show that staying fit is easy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the Fit India campaign on this day in 2019 to make India a healthy nation. In the last two years, Fit India Campaign, Fit India School Week, Fit India Freedom Run, Fit India Movement Cyclothon and many more such fitness campaigns have reached out to lakhs of people across the country. Presently, Fit India Campaign is also organizing Fit India Freedom Run-two to celebrate the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi. This festival is being celebrated to commemorate 75 years of India.

  • The Election Commission of India Election Commission of India – ECI ) has organized voter education and electoral participation ( Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation – SVEEP) Organized counseling workshop. As a part of this workshop, Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra along with Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar unveiled a new initiative. The main objective of the two-day workshop was to review the state SVEEP plans, hold wide-ranging discussions on the important aspects of SVEEP and formulate a comprehensive strategy for future elections. The SVEEP program is the Election Commission of India’s flagship program for voter education and awareness. New voters will send a personalized letter from the commission when sending their voter ID. The package includes a voter guide for new voters, a congratulatory letter and a pledge of ethical voting will be involved.
  1. Sonu Sood to be Delhi Government’s brand ambassador for ‘Desh Ke Mentors’ program
  • Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced that Bollywood actor Sonu Sood will be the brand ambassador of Delhi government’s ‘ Desh Ke Mentors ‘ programme. The Delhi government will soon start this program. The program requires “adopting” one to ten government school students who can be mentored by successful citizens in their respective fields. Mentors will take 10 minutes each week to guide students over the phone. Under the initiative, interested citizens can adopt one to ten children studying in government schools in the city.

  • According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI)Governor Shaktikanta Das , RBI will be testing its digital currency by December 2021 .The program is about to start. Currently, RBI is working on bringing its own Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) in a phased manner. RBI is working cautiously on CBDC as it is a new product for RBI as well as for the whole world. RBI is also studying various aspects of the digital currency and examining its security as well as its impact on the financial sector of the country. Monetary policy and its effect on money in the system are also being studied. According to the BIS survey of central banks conducted in 2021, 86% of banks are currently examining the potential of CBDCs. 60% of central banks are testing the technology while 14% are running pilot projects.

  • The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched India’s first ‘ Quantum Computer Simulator (QSim) Toolkit ‘. QSim is the first of its kind indigenously developed toolkit in India. It is an important tool to learn and understand practical aspects of programming with the help of quantum computers. Thus it will bring a new era of quantum computing research in India. This toolkit has been developed by IIT Roorkee, C-DAC and IISc Bangalore.Developed jointly by scientists of It was developed with the support and funding of MeitY. This toolkit has been launched to enable researchers and students to conduct research in quantum computing in a cost-effective manner. It allows researchers and students to write and debug the quantum code that is needed to develop quantum algorithms. QSim builds a platform that will help students and users acquire the skills of programming and designing real quantum hardware.
