1.DRDO aerial demonstration of Controlled Aerial Delivery System

Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE) Agra has launched a Controlled Aerial Delivery System (CADS-500) of 500 kg capacity (CADS-500 ) on 18 December 2021.aerial demonstration. ADRDE, Agra is a R&D laboratory of Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and this aerial demonstration is a part of the series of activities organized to celebrate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75 years of Independence. The CADS-500 is used for precise delivery of payloads up to 500 kg to a predetermined location using the maneuvering capabilities of Ram Air Parachute (RAP). It uses the Global Positioning System in coordinates, altitude and heading sensors for all necessary information during its flight. The CADS, with its onboard electronics unit, operates its flight path autonomously using waypoint navigation towards the target site as determined by the operating control system. drop Zone, Demonstration of this system was done at Malpura from a height of 5000 meters. This system was para drop from AN32 aircraft. After that, it was driven to a predetermined landing point in autonomous mode. 11 paratroopers of Indian Army and Indian Air Force followed this system in the air and landed together.

2.Center launches Logistics-Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) Hackathon

Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) to crowdsource more ideas – Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) Hackathon – ‘Logistics’Which will benefit the Logistics Industry. Logistics is designed to create a transparent platform that will provide real time information to all stakeholders and enhance efficiency by eliminating all disparate information. ULIP Hackathon for Logistics Cost Reduction in India – Logistics organized by NITI Aayog and Atal Innovation Mission and supported by National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) and NICDC Logistics Data Bank Services Limited (NLDSL). ULIP Hackathon was organized by Shri Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog in the presence of Special Secretary, Department of Logistics, Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Shri Amrit Lal Meena, CEO & MD, NICDC, Ms. Anna Roy, Senior Advisor, NITI Aayog and Shri Abhishek Choudhary, Vice-Chairman, NICDC. was launched.

3.CM launches SAHAY scheme in Maoist affected districts of Jharkhand

The Chief Minister of Jharkhand , Hemant Soren has launched Yuva ki Akanksha ( SAHAY ) i.e. Sports Action toward Harnessing Aspiration of Youth (SAHAY) scheme with the aim of nurturing young sports talent in Maoist affected districts of the state . The scheme has been launched to curb Left Wing Extremism (LWE) which has affected 19 out of 24 districts of the state. Under the scheme, boys and girls in the age group of 14-19 from village to ward level will be registered and they will be given an opportunity to showcase their skills in basketball, volleyball, hockey and athletics.

4.SAIL honored with prestigious Golden Peacock Environment Management Award 2021

Ministry of Steel under the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), the Institute of Directors by the steel sector in the 2021 prestigious Golden Peacock Environment Management Award has been awarded. SAIL has been the winner of this award for three consecutive years. This is a testimony to the efforts made by it to make steel that is sustainable and environmentally responsible.

5.An ‘Indian Desert Cat’ sighted for the first time in ‘Panna Tiger Reserve’ (PTR)

Recently an ‘ Indian Desert Cat ‘ has been sighted for the first time in ‘ Panna Tiger Reserve ‘ (PTR) of Madhya Pradesh . The ‘Indian desert cat’ is also known as the Asiatic wildcat or the Asian steppe wildcat ( scientific name: Felis sylvestris ornata). It is generally a creature of Thar desert of Rajasthan and found in scrub desert areas. This cat is found in arid and semi-arid regions of western India including Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra (Pune and Nagpur). This cat is found in the desert and can survive without water. The toes of this species have cushion-like hairs that help it to balance the fluctuating desert temperatures.

6.BPNI launches NAC for breastfeeding friendly hospitals

Recently, the Breastfeeding Promotion Network of India (BPNI) has organized the National Accreditation Center (NAC) for Breastfeeding Friendly Hospitals.launched. BPNI is a national organization for the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding in India. Which works towards the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding and appropriate complementary feeding of infants and young children. This is a new initiative in which hospitals across the country will be certified as Breastfeeding Friendly/Breastfeeding Friendly. The move comes in the wake of the latest National Family Health Survey (NFHS), which has seen a further increase in caesarean deliveries. A caesarean delivery, also known as a C-section, is a surgical procedure performed when a natural delivery is not safe. Its purpose is to set policy, programs and practices for hospitals. This will help in reducing the neonatal mortality rate and improve our Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). Infant mortality is defined as death within the first 28 days after birth.

7.Kidambi Srikanth wins silver medal at ‘BWF World Championships’

Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth has recently created history by winning a silver medal at the BWF World Championships . He has become the first male Indian shuttler to do so. In the final match, he faced Loh Kin Yew of Singapore , in which he had to face defeat.

8.”Tamil Thai Vazhathu” declared as the state song of Tamil Nadu

The Government of Tamil Nadu declared ” Tamil Thai Vazhathu ” as the state song on December 17, 2021 . Tamil Thai Vazhathu is a prayer song sung in praise of a Tamil mother . It is a 55-second song and is sung on the lines of the national anthem at the beginning of programs in all government offices, educational institutions, public sector undertakings and similar public events. The ruling comes in the wake of the recent judgment of the Madras High Court that ‘Tamil Thai Vazhthu’ is a prayer song and not an anthem., A mandate has been issued in this regard, in which it has been said that except the handicapped, everyone should stand while singing a song of 55 seconds long. ‘Tamil Thai Vazhthu’ has had official status since 1970. It is also the official song of the union territory of Puducherry. Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate is the official state anthem of Karnataka and Bande Utkal Janani is the official state anthem of Odisha.

9.HAL signs contract with BEL for 83 LCA Tejas Mk1A fighter jets

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a Rs 2,400 crore contract with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) for the development and supply of 20 types of systems for the 83 LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) Tejas Mk1A fighter aircraft programme . The contract period is 5 years i.e. from 2023 to 2028. Notably, this is HAL’s largest order on any Indian company, giving a boost to its ‘Self-reliant India’ campaign. The order for supply of these systems will be executed by two units of BEL at Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Panchkula (Haryana).

11.Venkaiah Naidu released Telugu book titled ‘Gandhi Topi Governor’

Vice President of India M Venkaiah Naidu released the Telugu book ‘ Gandhi Topi Governor ‘ by Padma awardee Dr. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad , Chairman, Official Language Commission, Andhra Pradesh . The book narrates the life of barrister Idpuganti Raghavendra Rao. IR Rao was a prominent freedom fighter, legislator and governor of the Central Provinces in the British administration.

12.ISRO signed six agreements with four countries

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has signed six agreements with four countries to launch foreign satellites during 2021-2023 . About 132 million euros will be earned through the launch of these foreign satellites on a commercial basis . The ISRO-Indian Space Agency was established in 1969 to develop an independent Indian space programme. Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Atomic Energy and Space has said that ISRO has launched a total of 342 satellites from 34 countries since 1999. ISRO, through its commercial arm, New Space India Limited (NSIL), is launching satellites from other countries from the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). A total of 124 indigenous satellites, including 12 student satellites, have been placed in Earth orbit.

13.RBI imposes penalty on PNB and ICICI Bank

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) by Punjab National Bank (PNB) at Rs 1.8 crore has been fined, while ICICI Bank for the shortcomings in regulatory compliance at Rs 30 lakhpenalty has been imposed. According to a statement issued by the central bank, PNB was found guilty of contravention of the provisions of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 relating to pledge of shares by it. In the case of ICICI Bank, the RBI stated that after conducting a statutory inspection for supervisory evaluation of the bank, it did not comply with the directions relating to levying charges for maintenance of minimum balance in savings accounts. . The RBI, however, clarified that in both the cases, the penalty was imposed on deficiencies in regulatory compliance and was not impinging on the validity of any transaction or agreement entered into by the banks with their respective customers.

16.CCI slaps ₹200 crore fine on Amazon

Recently, the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has imposed a fine of Rs 200 crore on American e-commerce company Amazon .Put it. CCI has also suspended the 2019 Amazon deal with Future Coupons, a unit of Future Retail Ltd. Amazon has been fined for hiding facts while getting approval for this deal. As per the CCI order, “reconsideration and re-examination of transactions is necessary”. As per sub-section (2) of Section 45 of the Companies Act, CCI also directed Amazon to give notice in Form II within 60 days of receipt of the order. Further, the approval granted on November 28, 2019, shall stand deferred till the disposal of such notice. CCI has imposed a fine of Rs 200 crore on Amazon for failing to identify and notify the Future Retail Limited Shareholders Agreement (FRL SHA) as part of the agreement. Identification is a liability under section 6(2) of the Act. Amazon will have to pay the fine within two months.

17.Avani Lekhara wins ‘Best Female Debut’ at 2021 Paralympic Sport Awards

Indian shooter Avani Lekhara , who created history by winning India’s first gold medal in shooting at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics , won the Best Female Debut award at the 2021 Paralympic Sport Awards . The awards were announced by the International Paralympic Committee. She became the first Indian woman to win 2 Paralympic medals in a single edition of the Paralympic Games. India won an unprecedented 19 medals including 5 Gold, 8 Silver and 6 Bronze in Paralympic Games.

18.Goa Liberation Day 2021
