2 39th edition of International Food and Hospitality Fair- Aahar begins at Bharat Mandapam
The 39th edition of the International Food and Hospitality Fair-Aahaar started at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi . It is being organized by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and India Trade Promotion Organization -ITPO . The Aahaar Fair was inaugurated by Union Food Processing Industries Minister Chirag Paswan. This fair is spread over an area of one lakh 12 thousand square meters in which 80 participants from 22 countries are participating.
3 Uttarakhand government approved ‘Chief Minister Single Women Self-Employment Scheme’
The Uttarakhand government has approved the “ Mukhyamantri Ekal Mahila Swarojgar Yojana ” with the aim of empowering unmarried, divorced, destitute and differently abled single women by providing them financial assistance up to Rs 2 lakh . Under this scheme , 75 percent of the amount will be given as grant , while the beneficiaries will have to contribute only 25 percent from their side . In the first phase, the government aims to benefit at least two thousand women, with a provision to increase the number of beneficiaries based on the progress of the scheme.
4 First trial of hydrogen-powered trucks begins
Tata Motors, the country’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has taken an initiative to fight climate change . Tata Motors has started the first trial of hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks on Indian roads in line with the country’s green campaign. This historic trial is an important step towards sustainable long-distance freight transport. The trial was flagged off by Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and New and Renewable Energy Minister Prahlad Joshi . This phase of the trial will last for 24 months and includes the introduction of 16 advanced hydrogen -powered vehicles with different configurations and payload capacities . Equipped with new-age hydrogen internal combustion engine (H2-ICE) and fuel cell (H2-FCEV) technologies, these trucks will be tested on India’s most prominent freight routes, including Mumbai, Pune, Delhi-NCR, Surat, Vadodara, Jamshedpur and Kalinganagar.
5 Central Government approves 5 pilot projects for use of hydrogen in buses and trucks
Promoting the National Green Hydrogen Mission , the Central Government has launched five pilot projects for the use of hydrogen in buses and trucks . The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy had issued guidelines for implementing hydrogen projects in the transport sector under this mission. After detailed investigation, the ministry has approved five pilot projects involving a total of 37 vehicles (buses and trucks) and 9 hydrogen refueling stations . The vehicles selected for the trial include 15 hydrogen fuel cell based vehicles and 22 hydrogen internal combustion engine based vehicles. These vehicles will run on 10 different routes across the country, including Greater Noida-Delhi-Agra, Bhubaneswar-Konark-Puri, Ahmedabad-Vadodara-Surat, Sahibabad-Faridabad-Delhi, Pune-Mumbai, Jamshedpur-Kalinga Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram-Kochi, Kochi-Edapally, Jamnagar-Ahmedabad and NH-16 Visakhapatnam-Bayyavaram. Another objective of this mission is to support the deployment of green hydrogen as a fuel in buses and trucks on a pilot basis in a phased manner. The National Green Hydrogen Mission was launched on January 4, 2023 with an outlay of Rs 19,744 crore by FY 2029-30.

7 IIFT signs MoU with Belgium’s AEPC – Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Centre to strengthen business and logistics education
The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Belgium ‘s APEC – Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Centre , a significant step towards enhancing academic collaboration and knowledge exchange in the areas of international trade, logistics and supply chain management . The MoU aims to strengthen business education and training ties between India and Belgium by facilitating faculty and student exchanges for cross-cultural business learning . This includes joint research on port management, global logistics and trade facilitation as well as specialized training programmes, workshops and industry interactions. Additionally, the collaboration will enhance knowledge transfer in critical areas such as e-governance, digital trade and emerging business technologies.
8 India and Thailand sign three MoUs to boost gems and jewellery exports
A high-level Indian delegation comprising 18 members from Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), Mumbai (Maharashtra), Jewellers Association Jaipur (JAJ), Jaipur ( Rajasthan ) , and Sitapura Gem & Jewellery Industry Association (SGJIA), Jaipur ( Rajasthan ) visited Thailand from 22-24 February 2025. During the visit, the delegation signed three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) at the 71st Bangkok Gems & Jewellery Fair (BGJF) held in Bangkok, Thailand on 22 February 2025. These MoUs aim to promote cooperation, research, innovation and market expansion between the jewellery industries of India and Thailand.
9 GRSE signs MoU with Indian Army for Modular Steel Bridge in Arunachal Pradesh
Kolkata (West Bengal) -based Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army (IA) for construction of 130 foot long Single Lane Modular (SLM) Steel Bridge (70R) in Arunachal Pradesh (AR). The agreement was signed by General Manager (GM) (Bailey Bridge) Natarajan Parthiban representing GRSE with the IA.
10 PB Fintech Limited appoints Santosh Agarwal as CEO of Paisabazaar
In February 2025 , PB Fintech Limited announced the appointment of Santosh Agarwal as the chief executive officer (CEO) of Paisabazaar , effective March 1, 2025. She will replace Paisabazaar co-founder Naveen Kukreja, who is stepping down after 11 years as CEO. He will, however, remain on Paisabazaar’s board as a non-executive director (NED).

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has expressed deep sorrow at the demise of former Ranji Trophy star and Mumbai cricket legend Padmakar Shivalkar . Shivalkar’s name is etched in the history of Ranji Trophy , where he enjoyed an illustrious career spanning over two decades. In 124 first-class matches, he took 589 wickets at a remarkable average of 19.69. His most iconic performance came in the 1972-73 Ranji Trophy final, where he single-handedly demolished Tamil Nadu with figures of 8/16 and 5/18, leading Mumbai to another title.
