1. PM Modi inaugurates National Toy Fair

PM Modi inaugurated the National Toy Fair on 27 February , it will conclude on 2 March . It will be conducted in virtual format. During the event, IIT will showcase 75 of its toy creations at the Center for Creative Learning (CCL) fair located in Gandhinagar . IIT Gandhinagar is the only IIT in the country running this center for creative learning. CCL helps in developing scientific temperament among students and teachers by developing various scientific and educational toys. This fair is being organized by the Ministry of Textiles . Ministry of Education and Commerce and Ministry of IndustryAre also involved in organizing the fair. This virtual toy fair will be organized with the aim of providing an enjoyable education for children.

 2. PM Narendra Modi to be awarded with ‘Global Energy and Environment Leadership Award’

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will be conferred with the ” CERAWeek Global Energy and Environment Leadership Award ” at an annual international energy conference . Prime Minister will deliver the keynote address at the CERAWeek Conference-2021 The CERAWeek Conference-2021 will be held virtually from 1 to 5 March 2021. The conference will be organized by IHS Markit . It is an annual international conference that brings together energy industry leaders, policy makers and experts. This is CERAWeek’s first virtual conference. The last conference of CERAWeek was held in March 2019.

 3. House of Re presentants in the US approved a fund of one thousand nine hundred billion dollars to deal with the corona virus

USA in the House of Re Prejentetiws the corona virus to deal with one thousand nine hundred billion dollars to fund the approved today. The bill related to this was passed by 212 votes out of 219. This package aims at promoting vaccination, screening and stabilizing the economy. The lawmakers have passed the bill to provide funds to the epidemic-hit people, businessmen, states and cities.

 4. SBI inks deal with JPMorgan’s blockchain payment network to ease foreign transactions

State Bank of India has entered into an agreement with JPMorgan to use the blockchain technology of US bank to speed up foreign transactions . The tie-up is expected to reduce SBI customers’ transaction costs and time taken for payments. SBI has joined Liink, a new blockchain-based interbank data network developed by JP Morgan. Integrating the technology, the bank hopes to reduce transaction costs and improve cross-border payments for its customers.

 5. Russian supermodel Vodianova will be the new UN Goodwill Ambassador

Russian supermodel and philanthropist Natalia Vodianova has been created as the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for an organization to promote and combat sexual and reproductive rights of women and girls . She will be a campaigner of the United Nations Population Fund, now called the UN’s sexual and reproductive health agency, and the UNFPA.

 6. Sharad Goklani will be the new chairman and CTO of AU Small Finance Bank

AU Small Finance Bank has named Sharad Goklani as its new chairman and CTO. Prior to this he was associated with Equitas Small Finance Bank as EVP and Chief Technology Officer. On his new appointment, Goklani will serve in Jaipur Rajasthan. Prior to Iquitas, he was associated with Bharti Airtel and Bharti Telesoft. He has a master’s degree in computer applications from Jaipur University.

 7. PSLV-C from ISRO Sriharikota The Brazilian satellite will launch Amazonia-Forest and 18 other satellites through 51.

Indian Space Research Organization ISRO – PSLV-C from Sriharikota at 10:24 AM on 28 February. 51 through Brazilian satellite Amazonia forest and 18 other satellites will be launched. Amazonia-One is the optical Earth observation satellite of the National Space Research Institute, Brazil . The satellite will strengthen the existing forest monitoring framework in the Amazon region and analyze Brazil’s agricultural diversity. The mission is the first dedicated commercial mission of ISRO’s commercial nodal agency called ” New Space India Limited (NSIL) “.

OLXGroup has appointed Gautam Thakar as the new global CEO of OLX Autos . In his new position, he will lead a worldwide organization with a workforce of over 4,000 in Asia, Africa, Latum and the United States. OLXGroup has announced the appointment of Gautam Thakar as Global CEO with effect from March 15, 2021.

Chandigarh has become the first state or union territory of India to launch a mobile application Carbon Watch to detect a person’s carbon footprint . Although this app can be accessed by everyone, there are special options to compile a detailed study of people living in Chandigarh. This application can be downloaded by scanning a QR code in any Android based smart cell phone. Carbon footprint is the amount of greenhouse gases released by human activity into the atmosphere, especially carbon dioxide.

 10. NSO predicts Indian economy to fall by 8% in 2020-21

Office for National Statistics (National Statistical Office) in accordance with the second advance estimates released by year India’s GDP growth expected 8 percent remain negative in 2020-21. This estimate was 4.9 per cent in 2019-20. The NSO had earlier estimated the GDP rate to be 7.7 percent negative in its first advance estimate.
