1.President Ram Nath Kovind launches Jal Shakti Abhiyan–Catch the Rain-2022 in the country, presents 3rd National Water Awards
President Ram Nath Kovind launched the Jal Shakti Abhiyan – Catch the Rain 2022 to ensure water security in the country . This campaign will run till 30th November this year . The President said that this year the campaign will focus on the development of underground water sources and expansion of the catchment area . Mr. Kovind said that the government is making all efforts to ensure water security and conserve water bodies. The President presented the 3rd National Water Awards in New Delhi on the occasion . 57 awards were given to states, organizations and individuals in 11 categories . Uttar Pradesh first in the best state category ,Rajasthan was given second prize and Tamil Nadu third. The Ministry of Jal Shakti had presented the National Water Awards for the first time in the year 2018. The Government of India had launched ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan’ in 2019. Also, ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ was also launched in the same year. On ‘World Water Day’ on 22 March last year, the Prime Minister launched the ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain’ campaign, which was conducted in all the districts of rural and urban areas of the country during the pre-monsoon and during the monsoon period. The squadron is specifically assigned for the four new P-8I aircraft procured under the Option Clause contract and for the prevention, detection and destruction of any threat in the IOR. Delhi’s per capita income ranks third among all states and union territories, followed by Goa at first place and Sikkim at second place. Delhi has registered 10.23% GDP growth in the financial year 2021-22 while the national growth rate was 8.9% during this period. On financial parameters, Delhi fared better and posted a revenue surplus of Rs 1,450 crore in 2021-22, but registered a decline of 0.04 per cent. Also, the fiscal deficit of the state increased to Rs 9,972.96 crore during 2020-21 as against Rs 3,227.79 crore in 2019-20. According to this survey, the total number of motor vehicles on the road in Delhi as on 31st March 2022 was 122.53 lakhs, Which shows a year-on-year growth of 3.03 percent. The tree and forest cover area also increased to 342 sq km in 2021.

Speeches, rare photographs, newspapers, video clips, interviews and original writings will be on display in this museum .
