1.CSIR Lab will provide technology for India’s first indigenous lithium-ion battery project :-

Under the Scientific and Industrial Research Council (CSIR), Central Electro Chemical Research Institute (CECRI) and RAASI Solar Power Pvt. Ltd. has signed an MoU for the transfer of technology for India’s first lithium ion (Li-Ion) battery project. The agreement was signed by Dr. Vijay Mohan K., Director, CECRI.

2.Simona Halep of Romania won the women’s singles title in the French Open tennis tournament :-

Simona Halep of Romania won the women’s singles title in the French Open tennis tournament. This is Halep’s first Grand Slam title. Nicol Nicola Mahut and Pierre Huffbeck of France won the men’s doubles title.

 

3.India, China to explore work to work together in Afghanistan :-

In the field of capacity building in Afghanistan, India and China have agreed to jointly identify a special project. This step of both countries can prove to be a major setback for Pakistan. Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale gave this information on Saturday. He said that during the Modi-Chinfing meeting other than the SCO Conference, there was a discussion on the issue of Afghanistan and there was a brief discussion about the projects. It is known that during the informal meet of the two leaders in Wuhan, there was agreement on the Indo-China joint project in Afghanistan. Explain that China was supporting Pakistan earlier in order to increase its influence in Afghanistan.

 

  1. 60 exemptions from Austria, 7 mosques closed :- 

The Austrian government has decided to remove 60 Imam and their families from the country. At the same time, the government will also shut down seven mosques who take donations from abroad. Austria has taken this decision to ban the political funding of Islam and foreign funding of mosques. Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Courage said the government is blocking a radical Turkish nationalist mosque in Vienna. Apart from this, six mosques attached to the Arab religious organization are also being closed. According to the court, the government has taken this decision based on the findings of the investigation of the authority of the religious affairs.

 

5.Reserve Bank changes gold monetization scheme :- 

The Reserve Bank has made some changes to make the gold monetary scheme (GMS) attractive. The purpose of the scheme is to facilitate people to open a gold savings account. The Reserve Bank said in a notification that short-term deposits should be treated as liabilities on the bank’s books – account. It states, ‘This deposit will be made for nominated banks for one to three years. Deposit will be allowed for another period also. This one year three months, Two years, four months, five days, etc.. According to the RBI, the interest rate for the different period will be decided on the interest paid for the year and the balance for the rest of the year. The government started this scheme in 2015. Its aim is to bring out the gold kept in homes and institutions and to make better use of it. Medium Term Government Deposit (MTGD) can be done for 5 to 7 years and for long term Government deposits for 12 years. The Central Government will decide on this from time to time.Apart from this, it can also be deposited for another period (one year three months, two years, four months, five days etc.) The scheme allows banks to deposit the idle gold for a fixed period. Interest on this is 2.25 to 2.50 percent. Through this scheme, so many people and institutions have deposited gold in the bank so far. Even some big temples have deposited gold in banks under it.

 

6.India beat Kenya 2-0 in the Intercontinental Cup title :- 

In the final of the Intercontinental Cup played at Mumbai’s Football Arena, India defeated Kenya 2-0 to make the title their title. Captain Sunil Chhetri played an important role in this victory of India. They scored two goals, not only India, but at the present time, they also became the second player in the world to score the most goals in the world’s active footballers. He equals 64 goals (124 matches) of Argentina’s legendary footballer Leon Messi.

 

7.Suburban train service affected by heavy rains in Mumbai :- 

Southwest monsoon has reached Mumbai. Due to heavy rains the suburban train service was affected. Due to bad weather the route of two flights has been changed. In the metropolitan area, water has risen to about four inches in many places in 24 hours. Two died in rain-related incidents in Thane district.

 

8.Singapore to spend Rs 101 cr on Trump-Kim historic meeting :- 

On Tuesday, the US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un will spend about 101 million rupees (two million Singapore dollars) on the historic conference.

 

9.G-7 countries to spend 20 thousand crore on girls’ education :- 

G-7, the organization of developed countries, has decided to spend about three billion dollars (20 thousand crore rupees) for the education of women and girls in the crisis-stricken areas. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, hosting the conference at Quebec Resort, has described it as the biggest investment for women’s education in the crisis-prone areas.

 

10.Himachal Pradesh government completes Semester system in UG courses :- 

Himachal Pradesh government  has decided to remove semester system in undergraduate ( UG ) courses and withdraw the annual examination system.

In  order to review the RUSA ( National Higher Education Campaign ), the former Vice Chancellor had established a Review Committee and he recommended returning to the annual examination system. In 2013  , Rasa was introduced to the state.

 

11.North highway tunnel in Sikkim dedicated to the nation :- 

The Minister of State for Defense  , Dr. Subhash Bhamre  has dedicated a highway tunnel to the country in Theng near Chungthang of North Sikkim. Tunnel will benefit tourism and will promptly motivate the development of the state.

A double-lane  tunnel spread over 600 meters  by the Border Roads Organization, built at a cost of more  than Rs 42 Cror
