1.FBI confirms Russia probe :-

FBI Director James Comey confirmed for the first time on Monday that the agency is investigating Russian interference in last year’s presidential election and notably Moscow’s possible collusion with President Donald Trump’s campaign.

2.Modi to fast-track his visit to Oman :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Oman within weeks. Planning for the visit has been under way since Oman’s ruler Sultan Qaboos on March 2 nominated his cousin Sayyid Asad Bin Tariq Al Said as the Deputy Prime Minister in charge of international affairs

3.Life’s a struggle for acquitted Maruti workers :-

Brijesh Kumar earned over ₹20,000 per month four years ago at Maruti’s Manesar plant. These days, the 30-year-old works as a cashier. Earning just a few thousand rupees per month, he struggles to make ends meet.

4.India repatriated 10 Pak. prisoners last year :-

Last year, when tension between India and Pakistan was at its peak following the terror attacks at the Pathankot airbase and at an Army camp in Uri, India repatriated 10 Pakistani prisoners, according to information obtained under the Right to Information Act.

5.Pakistan reopens Afghan border :-

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday ordered the reopening of border with Afghanistan after 34 days of blockade with a two-day relief in between. The border was sealed by Pakistan following a spate of deadly attacks in the country which the officials blamed on militants belonging to banned organisations hiding on the Afghan side of the border.

9.Zakir Naik PMLA case: ED attaches 18.37 cr assets of IRF, others :-

The Enforcement Directorate on Monday attached assets worth ₹18.37 crore of Islamic Research Foundation and others in connection with its money laundering probe against controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik.

10.After order to Ministers, Yogi asks officials to declare assets :-

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed officials to declare their assets within 15 days, a day after issuing a similar order to his Ministers.

11.China ‘strongly dissatisfied’ with India for inviting Dalai Lama to Buddhist meet :-

China on Monday slammed India for allowing the Dalai Lama to inaugurate a Buddhist conference at Rajgir in Bihar, saying that it was “strongly dissatisfied” with the move. “Recently, India ignored China’s solemn representations and strong opposition and insisted on inviting the 14th Dalai Lama to attend an international Buddhist conference organised by the Indian government,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said.

12.Bharatiya Mahila Bank to be merged with SBI :-

The three-year old fledgling Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMB) will be merged with the State Bank of India to expedite the outreach of banking services to women, the finance ministry said on Monday.
