1.Worldwide condemnation for UK Parliament attack :-

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday that Germany stood by Britain “firmly and resolutely”, following the terror attack near the British parliament.

“Although the background to these acts are not yet clear, I reaffirm that Germany and its citizens stand firmly and resolutely alongside Britons in the struggle against all forms of terrorism,” Ms. Merkel said in a statement.

2.YouTube loses major advertisers upset with ‘unsavoury’ videos :-

AT&T, Verizon and several other major advertisers are suspending their marketing campaigns on Google’s YouTube website after discovering their brands have been appearing alongside videos promoting terrorism and other unsavoury subjects.

3.Allow liquor outlets closer to highways: TN :-

The Tamil Nadu government has moved an application in the Supreme Court for modification of its December 15, 2016 judgment on banning States and Union Territories from allowing sale of liquor within 500 metres of National and State highways.

4.U.S lawmakers urge Rajnath Singh to lift curbs on Christian charity :-

A group of 107 members of U.S Congress have written to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to temporarily lift the restrictions on American Christian charity Compassion International (CI) until a permanent solution can be found. The union government has ordered banks in India to stop processing wire transfers from CI to its Indian partners, bringing the charity’s operations to halt. CI supports 145000 children in India with donations raised in the U.S.

5.No Indian casualty in London attack: Sushma Swaraj :-

There is no report of any Indian casualty so far in the terror attack near the UK Parliament, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said on Wednesday night.

6.New platform seeks to unify Hindus in U.S. :-

A new organisation launched by a group of influential American Hindus, most of them of Indian descent, aspires to emerge as the political platform for all Hindus in the country regardless of their ethnic origin. The American Hindu Coalition (AHC) will be formally inaugurated in May but the group has launched a website and started raising funds online and from selected donors.

7.UK won’t change terror threat level after attack: Theresa May :-

UK Prime Minister Theresa May today termed the terror strike in the heart of London as “sick and depraved” attack on democratic values, which was “doomed to failure”, after four people were killed and 20 injured.

8.US spy agencies monitored Trump team communications: intel report :-

Communications of Donald Trump’s transition officials, possibly including the incoming President himself, may have been scooped up in legal surveillance but then improperly distributed throughout the intelligence community, the chairman of the House intelligence committee said Wednesday.

9.Big pay hikes for Pujara, Jadeja and Vijay :-

Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja and M Vijay have been upgraded to the Grade A category of the annual men’s player contracts announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today. The annual retainership in Grade A has been increased to Rs 2 crore, exactly double what was offered to the players in the same category when the board last announced its annual contracts, in November 2015.

10.PCB miffed with FIA investigation into spot-fixing scandal :-

The PCB is not happy with the Federal Investigation Agency starting a separate investigation into the spot-fixing scandal in the Pakistan Super League.

This was made apparent by a top official of the board, Najam Sethi, who also heads the Pakistan Super League secretariat when he suggested that the FIA put on hold its inquiry until the PCB has completed its process to find out whether the players are guilty or not.

11.Panel shortlists 14 names for top jobs in PSU banks :-

With more than half a dozen posts of chief executives of public sector banks getting vacant next financial year ending March 2018, a selection panel has shortlisted 14 candidates who will be appear for an interview slated during the last week of March.

12.TVS Motor starts exporting BMW bikes :-

Two wheeler major TVS Motor Co. Ltd., has started exports of 310cc bikes for German auto major BMW from its Hosur plant near Bengaluru, said a top company official.

The company plans to roll out one new scooter and a motorcycle during this financial year and invest ₹350 crore from internal accruals to expand.
