1.Europe sets out tough Brexit terms :-
Hopes that Britain might be able to simultaneously negotiate the terms of its exit, and a new trade deal with the European Union were dashed on Friday, as European Council President Donald Tusk set out the initial terms of negotiation set out by the remaining 27 member states. He signaled that Britain would only be able to commence talks on the future relationship once there was “sufficient progress on the withdrawal.”
2.Umesh, Jadeja to skip first two weeks of IPL :-
Umesh Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja have been advised to skip the first two weeks of the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) tenth edition. The directive has come from the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) medical team at the end of a prolonged season of Test cricket at home.
3.Supreme Court confirms: Alcohol ban on highways will include bars and restaurants :-
Relaxing its ban on liquor shops along national and state highways, the Supreme Court Friday said that cities, towns and municipal areas with a population of 20,000 or less could have alcohol vends beyond a range of 220m from highways and not 500m as decided earlier. But it virtually overruled Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi’s legal opinion rendered to the Kerala government, in which the law officer had said that the court-ordered ban on liquor vends within 500m of state and national highways would not apply to pubs, bars, hotels and restaurants that serve alcohol.
4.Mobile phones will be biggest interface tool in 2019 polls: Modi :-
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said mobile phones will be the biggest interface between politicians and voters in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls and asked BJP MPs to use them extensively to stay in touch with people.
At a meeting with MPs from different states, his fifth and last such exercise, he told them that they need to have presence on digital platforms, especially through mobile phones, and use Facebook, Whatsapp and Twitter extensively.
5.Sindhu beats Saina to enter India Open semis :-
PV Sindhu won a much-anticipated clash with compatriot Saina Nehwal in straight games to book a place in the semi-finals of the India Open badminton tournament in New Delhi on Friday.
Rio Olympics silver medallist Sindhu served past former champion Saina 21-16, 22-20 in an intense 47-minute quarter-final battle at the Siri Fort Sports Complex.
6.GST Council approves five amended rules :-
The all-powerful GST Council on Friday approved five amended rules for the Goods and Services Tax regime and gave “tentative” nod to the remaining four as the Central government sprints to meet the July 1 rollout target.
7.Injured R. Ashwin likely to miss entire IPL :-
Allrounder R Ashwin is almost certain to miss the entire tenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) starting April 5.
Ashwin, who is grappling with sports hernia, has been advised rest and rehabilitation by the Board of Control for Cricket India (BCCI).

India is among the 16 target countries in a review of trade ties that President Donald Trump was scheduled to order on Friday. The President would also sign a second order to strictly enforce anti-dumping and countervailing duties, U.S Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said on Thursday.

Barred from flying by domestic airlines and booked for assaulting an Air India staffer, Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad has tried at least thrice to book a seat on the national carrier, using a new alias each time.
10.Indian coders to get support for iOS apps :-
Apple Inc, the maker of the iPhone, announced the opening of its App Accelerator in Bengaluru.
The company said that the accelerator would provide specialised support for developers making apps on its mobile operating system iOS, which is the foundation for its products like iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
