1.ISRO set to launch record 104 satellites on 15 February :-

The PSLV, in its 39th flight (PSLV-C37), will launch the 714kg Cartosat-2 series satellite for earth observation along with 103 co-passenger satellites, together weighing about 664kg at lift-off.

The Delhi high court on Tuesday stayed a controversial nursery admission notification by the AAP government that made 298 private unaided schools, built on public land, to accept admission forms based only on the neighbourhood or distance criteria.

 

 

4.Judgment will change politics in TN, says BJP :-

The BJP said that the decision of the Supreme Court to uphold the trial court’s decision to convict AIADMK general secretary V.K. Sasikala will change politics in Tamil Nadu.

 

 

5.Sensex falls over 38 points despite positive economic data :-

Snapping its three—day winning streak, market benchmark BSE Sensex fell over 38 points in early trade today on profit—booking in recent gainers, despite inflation fell to multi—year low of 3.17 per cent in January.

 

 

 

 

6.Rupee recovers 7 paise :-

The rupee recovered 7 paise to 66.95 against the US dollar in early session on fresh selling of the American currency by exporters and banks.

Besides, foreign fund inflows supported the rupee, but a lower opening of the domestic equity market and the dollar’s strength against other currencies overseas capped the gain, forex dealers said.

Admission to all engineering colleges in the country will be done through a single entrance examination from next year (2018), the government stated doing away with multiple tests conducted by central agencies, state governments and private institutions.
