1.RBI to set up panel on strengthening cyber security :-

In a bid to strengthen cyber security system, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday decided to set up an inter-disciplinary panel on cyber security to examine various threats and suggest measures to deal with it.

 

 

 

2.Powerful earthquake strikes off Pakistan coast :-

A powerful 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Pakistan’s Balochistan province on Wednesday, but there were no reports of casualties.

According to the meteorological department, the quake struck at 3:04 a.m. (local time), with the epicentre 23-km southwest of the coastal town of Pasni at a depth of 10-km.

West Bengal Legislative Assembly on Wednesday witnessed stormy scenes over the passage of Bill imposing payment of compensation on public properties damaged during violent protests with the Speaker suspending Leader of Opposition and Congress MLA Abdul Mannan.After Mr Mannan refused to leave the House despite Speaker’s order security personnel forcibly tried to take him out of The House.

 

 

4.Modi attacks Akhilesh, urges voters to end ‘vikas ka vanvas’ :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday tore into Akhilesh Yadav government, alleging it was “sheltering” and “nursing” crime and corruption and asserted that this U.P. election was about ending the 14-year “exile of growth” in the State.

 

 

5.From Feb. 20 to March 12, you can withdraw 50,000 a week :-

The weekly cash withdrawal limit from savings bank accounts from ATMs or banks will be increased to ₹50,000 from February 20 and there won’t be any withdrawal limit from March 13, the Reserve Bank of India said on Wednedsday. The weekly withdrawal limit now is ₹24,000.

 

 

6.RBI keeps repo rates unchanged :-

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has kept the repo rate unchanged at 6.25%  in its monetary policy review on Wednesday, citing inflation concerns after the first quarter of the next financial year, once the base effect vanishes.

 

 

7.You can’t overlook Rahane’s 2 years of hardwork: Kohli :-

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, while addressing a Vijay Sankalp Rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad claimed that Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) will be back in power of 14 years in the state. He also said that his party will turn Uttar Pradesh in to Uttam Pradesh (Best state) of India.
