6.Online portal “e-Bal Nidan” revamped for redressal of complaints against violation of child rights

Keeping in view the coordinated functioning of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) and State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) and observations made by Hon’ble Supreme Court to Section 13(2) of Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act, 2005 NCPCR ” e-Bal Diagnostics “The portal will provide access to all SCPCRs. NCPCR will provide User ID and Password to the State Commissions so that they can view the complaints lodged on the Portal and take necessary action. In addition, the complaints registered with the NCPCR with the Portal will be sent to the respective State Commission. There will be an option to transfer, if the State Commission has already taken cognizance of the matter. The State Commissions will also be provided with the option of joint investigation if they want the involvement of NCPCR in grievance redressal. The Commission has decided to incorporate the new facilities in 2022. This portal has been revamped for the purpose, which will be beneficial for the complainants as well as the Commission while dealing with complaints. Some of the new features include child crime justice, POCSO, labor justice, POCSO, labor Division of complaints in subjects like education etc., internal monitoring and transfer of complaints in the Commission,Involve greater tracking of complaints at every level.

8.MoS Chandrashekhar to launch India’s first lithium cell production plant in Tirupati

The Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology , Shri Rajiv Chandrasekhar , at Tirupati , Andhra Pradesh , at the Pre-production stage of India’s first Lithium Cell Manufacturing Plant .will launch. This state-of-the-art plant has been set up by Chennai-based Munoth Industries Limited with an outlay of Rs 165 crore. The plant is located in one of the two electronics manufacturing clusters set up in the temple town by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in 2015. The plant currently has an installed capacity of 270 MWh per day and can produce 20,000 cells with a capacity of 10 amperes per hour (Ah). These cells are used in power banks and this capacity is about 60 per cent of India’s current needs. Cells for other consumer electronics goods such as mobile phones, hearing and wearable devices will also be produced here.

9.Tribes of 5 states included in Scheduled Tribes (ST)

The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently approved the inclusion of tribes of five states in the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category . The Union Cabinet has approved the inclusion of the tribes of Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh in the ST category. In this 12 communities have been included in the ST list. Uttar Pradesh: The cabinet has included ‘Gonds’ community in the Bhadohi (earlier Sant Ravidas Nagar) district of Uttar Pradesh state along with its five sub-castes (Dhuria, Nayak, Ojha, Pathari and Rajgond) in the Scheduled Tribes list of Uttar Pradesh. To do so, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has approved the proposal. Himachal Pradesh: The Hati or Hattee community living in the Trans-Giri region within the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh has been included in the Scheduled Tribes list in the state. Due to this, about 1 lakh 60 thousand people have now joined this list. This decision is also important because Himachal assembly elections are due later this year.
Tamil Nadu: The proposal of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs to include the Narikoravan community of the state of Tamil Nadu in the Kurivikkaran community has also been approved. For this, in the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) Order, 1950, a bill was introduced in the Parliament for amendment.

14.Bank of Maharashtra raised Rs 710 crore through bonds

Government-owned Bank of Maharashtra (BoM) is reported to have raised Rs 710 crore through bonds to finance the company’s expansion . According to a statement from the bank, the funds were raised through Basel III compliant Additional Tier 1 (AT1) bonds at a coupon rate of 8.74 per cent for Rs 710 crore (including Rs 610 crore for green shoe option). The issue received an overwhelming response from investors with 10x subscriptions against the base issue size of Rs 100 crore. The capital raised through the AT1 bond will support the growth of the bank’s business. The AT1 instrument has a call option of five years.
