1 Delhi’s mohalla clinics will be upgraded to ‘urban Ayushman Arogya Mandir’
After taking over the reins of Delhi , Rekha Sarkar is now working in action mode. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has decided to upgrade 553 existing Mohalla clinics to ‘ Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandir ‘ (U-AAM). Apart from this, the BJP government has taken a big step towards giving 10 gas cylinders annually at the rate of Rs 500 and two free gas cylinders on Holi and Diwali, giving great relief to the people of Delhi. In this meeting, emphasis was laid on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), Health and Wellness Center (HWC) / Ayushman Arogya Mandir (AAM), Ayushman Bharat Infrastructure Mission Scheme (PM-BHIM), Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) for the people of Delhi.

Kash Patel of Indian origin in America has officially taken oath as the ninth director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) . The Senate approved his appointment with a vote of 51-49, with two Republicans voting against him. Kash Patel replaced Christopher Ray, who resigned in the President Joe Biden administration.
4 India’s Purnima Devi Burman nominated for “Woman of the Year” award by Time magazine
Indian biologist and wildlife conservationist Purnima Devi Burman has been nominated for the “ Woman of the Year ” award by Time magazine . This award is given for extraordinary work in various fields. 45-year-old Purnima Devi is the only Indian woman in this list. Purnima Devi of Assam is known for her extraordinary efforts in protecting the endangered local Hargila bird. The list of 13 women also includes French actors Nicole Kidman and Gisele Pellicot.

7 Country’s first vertical bifacial solar plant inaugurated in New Delhi
The country’s first vertical bi-facial solar plant was inaugurated at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) ‘s Okhla Vihar metro station in New Delhi . The solar plant was inaugurated by Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal Khattar . Manohar Lal Khattar also inaugurated a 1 MW rooftop solar installation at DMRC’s Khyber Pass Metro Depot.
8 Reserve Bank of India imposes monetary penalty of Rs 29 lakh on Citi Bank
The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 29 lakh on Citibank for non-compliance with certain directions related to submission of credit information to credit information companies . The bank also imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 6 lakh 20 thousand on Ashirvad Micro Finance Limited. This company had failed to provide household income information of certain borrowers to credit information companies.

10 Shooter Manu Bhaker, 2024 BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year
Two-time Olympic medallist shooter Manu Bhaker has been named the 2024 Indian Sportswoman of the Year by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) of the United Kingdom . In 2020, Manu Bhaker won the BBC’s Emerging Athlete of the Year award. The BBC Indian Sportswoman of the Year was established by the BBC in 2019, and honours Indian sportswomen for their performance in a calendar year. The nominees for the various categories of the award are selected by a panel of eminent Indian sports journalists and experts. The final winners are selected through public voting.
11 Kirian Jacquet won the 2025 Delhi Open ATP Challenger tennis tournament
Kirian Jacquet of France won his second consecutive singles title in India by defeating Billy Harris of Great Britain 6–4, 6–2 in the final of the 2025 Delhi Open ATP Challenger tennis event . This was Kirian Jacquet’s second consecutive Challenger title after his win at the 2025 Chennai Open Challenger tennis event . The USD 1,00,000 Delhi Open was an ATP 75 Challenger event played on hard court surface at DLTA, New Delhi from 10–16 February 2025. The winner of Delhi Open Kirian Jacquet received 75 ranking points and USD 14,200 in prize money. Losing finalist Billy Harris won 44 ranking points and USD 8,330 in prize money.
12 International Mother Language Day
International Mother Language Day is celebrated every year on 21 February . This day reminds us of the importance of linguistic and cultural diversity and emphasizes the need to protect endangered languages around the world. This year UNESCO is celebrating International Mother Language Day on the theme “Silver Jubilee Celebration of International Mother Language Day”. On this day, programs related to reading poems, storytelling in different languages and cultural music are being organized. This celebration is taking place at UNESCO’s Paris, France headquarters.
