1.Flight Lieutenant Mohana Singh Became The First IAF Woman Pilot To Fly Hawk Jets:-

Flight Lieutenant Mohana Singh became the first IAF woman pilot to become completely operational by day on Hawk advanced jet aircraft.She landed the grueling 4 aircraft combat sortie at the Kalaikunda Air Force Station in West Bengal. She was trained to fly air-to-air combat and air-to-ground missions.About Mohana SinghMohana Singh Jitarwal is one of the first female pilots of India.She was declared as the first combat pilot along with two of her cohorts, Bhawana Kanth, and Avani Chaturvedi.All three women pilots were inducted into the Indian Air Force fighter squadron in June 2016.

2.Modi government made big changes in the draft National Education Policy, the inevitability of Hindi ended:-

The government has changed the draft of the National Education Policy. Now the mandatory requirement for reading Hindi has been abolished. Under the revised draft the Tribhasha formula, the students will now be free to read any three languages. However a literary language would be necessary in it. In the old draft there was a provision for reading a local language with Hindi, English. In view of the draft of the National Education Policy, this change has been done on Monday on the backdrop of protests rising from non-Hindi-speaking regions, especially South Indian states. It was started from Tamil Nadu, where many political parties, including the DMK, had strongly opposed it. It was formed to make a political issue.Apart from the DMK, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena also started to oppose it. However, the government had said that no language will be imposed on anyone. This is just an early draft. Any decision will be made after consulting all sides.In the draft of the revised education policy, the Tribhasha formula has been elucidated. Now they do not mention any language. Students have been given the freedom to choose any of the three languages. In the states of South India including Tamil Nadu, two languages ​​are already being taught. Among them is a local and second English. Although in the draft of the revised education policy, it has been clearly stated that school students must study three languages.The dispute arises after the draft of the new education policy, when the government issued it on May 31 and sought suggestions from the people. Under this, any person can give his suggestions till June 30. Committee on human resource development and policy-making committee with the Prime Minister’s Office on suggestions on the draft policy of education policy is also keeping a close eye.

3.Delhi CM announces free travel for women in public transport:-

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced free travel for women in public transport to improve safety and accessibility. Addressing media in New Delhi, Mr Kejriwal said, women will be allowed to travel free of cost on all DTC buses, cluster buses and metro trains. He said, he has given one week time to officials to make a detailed proposal for both DTC and Metro train on how and when it can be implemented. He said, the government is  also seeking suggestions from people how to  implement it. He said, subsidy will not be imposed on anyone and there are several women who can afford these modes of transport. Mr Kejriwal said, those who can afford, can purchase tickets and they need not take subsidy.Mr Kejriwal also announced the installation of CCTVs cameras in the city from 8th of June.Delhi BJP leader Vijender Gupta has termed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement of free travel for women commuters in Metro and DTC buses as an election stunt. Talking to AIR News, Mr Gupta said, this has been done to divert the attention of public from the main issues as the City government has failed to address their problems.

 4.TheHigh Court of Haryana for all animals to ‘ legal as the person declared to be:-

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has given the status of “legal person or entity” to animals in Haryana.It has given them “rights, duties and responsibilities as a living person”.The judgment came about a year after the Uttarakhand High Court passed a similar order for conservation and promotion of animal welfare.Both the orders were written by Justice Rajiv Sharma, who were shifted from Uttarakhand to Punjab and Haryana High Court Chandigarh last year.Justice Sharma was also a part of the bench of Uttarakhand which declared Ganga and Yamuna rivers live in 2017, the decision which was later stopped by the Supreme Court.

5.ICA issues first UAE Permanent Residency ‘Golden Card’ in Abu Dhabi:-

UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) has issued the first Golden Residence Permit in Abu Dhabi, as part of the Investors Permanent Residence System aimed to attract investors, entrepreneurs and qualified individuals who meet its criteria.Brigadier Saeed Salem Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Abu Dhabi, awarded the first permit to investor Yousuf Ali, Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ADCCI, and Chairman of the Lulu International Group, during a ceremony that also honoured him for his role in promoting economic growth in the country. The Abu Dhabi-based Keralite tycoon is worth 4.7 billion dollars and has been ranked the richest expat in UAE according to Forbes magazine’s 2019 list of billionaires. A delighted Yousuf Ali said that it was a very proud and emotional moment in his life . He has been in UAE fo more than 45 years. He said, this was an honour not only for him but for the entire expat community , especially those from India who have been living in UAE for many years and for whom UAE has been a second home.The UAE government had announced  that the first batch of 6,800 investors with 100 billion Dirhams worth of investments in the country will be granted the Golden Card.The UAE Cabinet has approved the long-term visa system for expatriates announced by the country earlier this year, while also confirming the criteria that need to be met.the recently launched Permanent Residency system in UAE saw its very first beneficiary. Indian billionaire M. A, Yousouf Ali was given the Golden card under the Scheme in UAE on Monday. The programme is an outreach initiative for investors and business leaders of foreign origin. The UAE government last month had announced  that the first batch of 6,800 investors with 100 billion Dirhams worth of investments in the country will be granted the “Golden Card.” Under this scheme exceptional doctors, engineers, scientists and artists will also be considered , Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the country’s Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai had said during the launch of the scheme. UAE which is home to expats of over 180 countries till now had a system of renewing visas for its expats every two years. The UAE has also started  five and 10-year residency visas to investors, entrepreneurs, specialists in the medical, scientific, research and technical fields, and ‘outstanding’ students to “facilitate business and create an attractive and encouraging investment environment” in the country.

6.Under-20 Eurasian Athletics Championship: Indian Juniors Bagged 5 Gold, 3 Silver Medals:-

Under-20 Eurasian Athletics Championships held at Almaty, Kazakhstan, Indian juniors bagged 5 gold and 3 silver medals.

The national teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, India, and Tajikistan participated in a 2-day event held on May 29-30, 2019.Sreekiran bagged the boys’ 800m gold with a time of 1:54.62 while Rohit Yadav added the fifth gold medal to India’s tally, finishing on top in the boys’ javelin throw by clearing a distance of 74.55m.

7.ONGC has once again become the country’s most profitable government company:-

Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC), the country’s largest oil and gas producer, has left behind Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and again became the country’s most profitable company.According to the results released by the listed companies in the stock exchanges, ONGC’s net profit increased 34 percent to Rs 26,716 crore in 2018-19. In the same period, the net profit of the IOC was recorded at Rs 17,274 crore. In the preceding two years, IOC had taken away the most profitable company from ONGC. The IOC’s hand came out with the most turnover of the company. In terms of turnover, now Mukesh Ambani’s company RIL is the number one company.In the financial year 2017-18, the IOC recorded a net profit of Rs. 21,346 crore. That year, the net profit of ONGC was Rs 19,945 crore. RIL has been the country’s most profitable company for the fourth consecutive year. In the last financial year, the company has recorded a net profit of Rs 39,588 crore.
