1.French President Emmanuel McHome on a four-day trip to India :-
French President Emmanuel McHome is coming to India on a four-day trip. The purpose of his visit is to strengthen and broaden bilateral economic, political and strategic relations between the two countries.
Prime Minister Modi and Emmanuel McHome co-chaired the Conference of International Solar Cooperation. During the visit, agreements between India and France will be signed in different areas. India-France Chief Executive Officer will also hold a meeting. It is worth mentioning that between April 2000 and October 2017, France has been the ninth largest investor in India with a total investment of $ 6 billion. The French President’s visit is likely to accelerate these relations.
2.President Ramnath Kovind gave women power to 29 women and nine institutions on the occasion of International Women’s Day :-
President Ramnath Kovind presented the Women Power Award for the year 2017 on the occasion of International Women’s Day. In the special program held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, these awards were given to 29 women and nine institutions for outstanding services in the interest of women, especially the weak and disadvantaged sections. On this occasion, the President said that in order to give equal status to daughters, we have to change our traditions.
He said that we must listen to our daughters’ prayers. Every tradition must be changed to that tradition which has been a hindrance to giving equal rights to our daughters. Many crimes that occur with women can not be seen before. Men should also be made aware and sensitive to accompany them.
The President also met the people freed from human trafficking in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
3.Recognizing Living Will, the Supreme Court grants permission to death to incurable patients :-
The Supreme Court passed the historic judgment and allowed the death to incurable patients to die.
The Constitution Bench of five judges, headed by Chief Justice Justice Deepak Mishra, on hearing the plea for acceptance of Living Will, allowed incurable patients to die of death under certain rules and procedures.
The apex court comprising Justice AK Sikri, Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice DY Chandrachud and Justice Ashok Bhushan also fixed guidelines on how to give final shape to the final desire and the medical board will Desire to die will ask for death.
The Supreme Court also gave the system that these instructions will be applicable till it becomes a law. Under the assumption of Living Will, any woman or man will already be able to decide whether the illness should be kept on the life saving system in the event of incurable illness.
The Chief Justice, while announcing the decision, said that all the judges were unanimous on the issue of Living Will so that the person who does not want to continue tolerating unbearable sufferings would be given the means to give death.
Prashant Bhushan, senior advocate of the Supreme Court, who was present on behalf of the voluntary organization that filed the PIL, had earlier told the court that the patients who arrived in coma could not wish their wishes, hence they should get the right to die.
4.Poll campaign ended for Lok Sabha bypoll :-
The campaign for the Araria Lok Sabha seat in Bihar and the by-election by Jehanabad, Bhabhuya assembly seat has ended. There are 38 candidates in the fray.
This by-election is being held due to the demise of RJD MLA Chandrika Singh Yadav from Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Mohammad Taslimuddin and Jehanabad MLA Araria and Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Anand Bhushan Pandey from Bhabua.
The campaigning for the by-elections of Uttar Pradesh’s Phulpur and Gorakhpur Lok Sabha seats has ended. This sub-election is being done from Gorakhpur constituency due to the resignation of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya from Phulpur seat, as both of them have been elected for the Legislative Council. Both the states will be voted on Sunday and the counting will be done on March 14.
5.Information and Broadcasting Minister released the books published by the publication department on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai and Razia Sultan :-
Information and Broadcasting Minister Smriti Irani released books published by the publishing department on the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai and Razia Sultan. These books have been published in 13 languages under an India best India program. Mrs. Irani said that the celebration of women’s strength and courage should be celebrated not only on occasions such as International Women’s Day but also every day.
He said that Josh, this obsession, this festival will not be limited to this one day. Every day is a day of women, every day is the festival of power. Every day there is a celebration of humanity whose center is the female.
6.India supported the Government of Afghanistan’s proposal to include the Taliban in the peace process without any pre-condition :-
India has supported the Afghan government’s proposal to include the Taliban in the peace process without any pre-condition. India also called upon the world community to support these efforts. India’s permanent representative to the United Nations Security Council Syed Akbaruddin told the Council that it will protect the rights of all Afghan citizens, including children and women. He said that the new offer of peace of the Afghan government is a strong move towards the Taliban in the mainstream. At the same time, Mr. Akbaruddin also appealed to the strong answer to the violence of terrorist groups.
On February 28, Afghan President Ashraffani presented a detailed peace resolution before the Taliban at an international conference in Kabul.
7.On completion of the Tori-Shivpur-Kathoutia rail line dedicated to Tori-Balumuth Rail Line and Balumuth-CCL Siding Nation , facility of extracting about 100 MT coal from Uttar Karampura coal mines of Jharkhand every year :-
Minister of State for Railways and Minister of State (Independent Charge), Shri Manoj Sinha today dedicated Tomari-Balumuth Rail Line and Balumuth-CCL Siding to the nation. Off the vehicle through virtual conferencing Rail Bhavan flagged Shri Manoj Sinha said, “There was a need to repair around 170 million tonnes of coal from the Latehar region of Jharkhand. The Tori-Shivpuri 44 kilometer long new railway line was sanctioned since 2005-06.
The Tori-Shivpura New Line (44.0 Kms) is being mainly manufactured for extracting coal from Amrapali and Magadha coal mines of Latehar and Chatra districts (Jharkhand). There is abundant coal reserves in this area. There are 3 stations, 5 large bridges, 7 over bridges and 39 small bridges between the Tori and Balumth line. According to initial estimates, Coal India Limited (CIL) has proposed to remove approximately 80 rake coal from various coal blocks daily. CIL 2 is developing sideways for connecting Amrapali and Magadha coal mines to the rail network.
8.Under the incredible India Heritage Series, the concert program is organized in Delhi, Varanasi and Kochi :-
The event will start in Delhi on March 10, 2018 in the Red Fort. Firstly sitara player of the Etawa family, Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan will present the classical music of Hindustani. After him, Dr. Ashwini Bheede-Deshpande of Mumbai will present singing in Indian classical music.
They belong to the Jaipur-Atruli family. India’s leading Bowle composer and Bowl folk singer of Bengal, musician and Dastanova Parvati Bowl will present their program on March 11. Warsi Biratran Qawwali of Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) will present.
It is worth mentioning that this world-renowned poet is the grandson of Padmashree Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi. His Qawwali appears to be the specialty of the singing style of the Delhi family. They are known for traditional Sufiyana Qawwali, Gazal, Thumri, Bhajan and Classical Bandhas.
On 17th March, 2018, the violinist Dr. L Subramanyam on the tomb of Humayun, the Sringaram of the drummer Dr Umayalpuram and the Santoor maestro Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma will perform their art. Similarly, on March 18, 2018, there will be a program for Mrs. Malini Awasthi (Thumri) and Capital City Mintails (Chorus).
9.Decree of Pakistani court, it is necessary to state religion for government job :-

The decision of the court Friday has been termed by the human rights organizations as a shock to the minority community of the country. Islamabad High Court Judge Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui ordered this matter while hearing a case related to the affair of the finishing-e-Nabuwit. The judge said that it is mandatory for all Pakistanis to disclose their religion before the oath for the Civil Services, the Armed Forces or the Judiciary.
