1.The Delimitation Commission has placed 43 in Jammu and 47 in Kashmir region out of 90 assembly constituencies in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Delimitation Commission , headed by Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai (Retired Judge of the Supreme Court) , whose ex-officio members are Mr. Sushil Chandra (Chief Election Commissioner) and Mr. KK Sharma (State Election Commissioner, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir), is constituted by the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was held to finalize the delimitation order for the state of Jammu and Kashmir . Keeping in view the provisions of section 9(1)(a) of the Delimitation Act, 2002 and section 60(2)(b) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019, 43 of the 90 assembly constituencies of the region shall be part of the Jammu region. and 47 Kashmir regionwill be under After consultations with Associate Members, representatives of political parties, citizens, civil society groups, nine assembly constituencies have been reserved for Scheduled Tribes. Of these, six are in the Jammu region and three in the Kashmir Valley. The last delimitation of assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir was in 1995 , on the basis of the 1981 census.it was done. There are five parliamentary constituencies in this region. The Delimitation Commission has kept the Jammu and Kashmir region as a single union territory. Therefore, one parliamentary constituency has been created by merging Anantnag region in the Valley and Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region. With this reorganization, each parliamentary constituency will have an equal number of 18 assembly constituencies. The names of some assembly constituencies have also been changed keeping in mind the demand of local representatives. Under the chairmanship of retired Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai and Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra and Jammu and Kashmir State Election Commissioner K K Sharma, the Commission met in New Delhi and finalized the delimitation order. A gazette notification has also been published for this. The commission was constituted in March 2020 for the purpose of delimitation of assembly and parliamentary constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir.
2.Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment asked to expedite the implementation of Unique Disability ID Scheme
Recently, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has issued a Unique Disability ID Scheme (UDID) for Persons with Disabilities (PWD) in 75 districts .to expedite its implementation. The Ministry of Rural Development has selected the UDID program as part of its 90-day campaign in districts “chosen on the basis of unsung heroes of India’s freedom struggle” under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The objective of this campaign is to have 100% coverage of 17 central schemes in 75 districts. The Unique ID Project for Persons with Disabilities is being implemented with a view to creating a National Database for Persons with Disabilities and issuance of a Unique Identity Card to each Person with Disabilities. It aims to enable persons with disabilities to obtain a new UDID card/disability certificate to take advantage of the schemes and opportunities offered by the government through its various ministries and their departments. This project will not only bring transparency in giving government benefits to people with disabilities,

The world lost 420 million hectares (mha) , about 10.34% of the total forest area, due to deforestation in the last 30 years (between 1990 and 2020)Is. Although the rate of deforestation was declining, 10 million hectares of forest were lost every year between 2015 and 2020. This poses a serious risk to 68% of mammal species, 75% of bird species and 80% of amphibian species that live in forests. Forest biodiversity is threatened by deforestation and forest degradation. Forests cover 4.06 billion hectares (31%) of the Earth’s geographic area.
