1.IIT. Bombay launches UDAN project

Recently a Mobile X-ray Container Scanning System (MXCS) has been installed by Paradip Port near Paradip International Cargo Terminal (PICT) . It is called the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) for physical testing of containers at the port and to reduce the duration of their stay there.initiative has been established. It will facilitate the movement of uncut metal scrap material in containers through the port to meet the long standing requirement of the industries in the hinterland. This is expected to increase container volume at Paradip port and reduce logistics cost and help in EXIM (Export-Import) trade. It is a natural, deep water port on the east coast of India, located at the confluence of the Mahanadi and the Bay of Bengal in Odisha. Located 210 nautical miles south of Kolkata and 260 nautical miles north of Visakhapatnam. This port is administered by Paradip Port Trust (PPT). PPT administers it under the Port Trust Act, 1963. PPT was commissioned in the year 1966 as a mono commodity port for export of iron ore.
