1.India to participate in Asian rugby championship in Chinese Taipei :-

Indian men’s rugby team will participate in the Asia Rugby Championship Division to Rugby 16 from 15 to 18 November in Taiwan. The Indian team will play this tournament under the supervision of Indian Rugby Football Association. The hosts will clash for the Chinese Taipei, Thailand, India and Singapore titles.

 

2.Italy, for the first time in 60 years, failed to qualify for the FIFA Football World Cup :-

Italy has failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1958. Four-time champion Italy suffered a 0-1 loss to Sweden in the World Cup qualifying European play-off. Sweden won 1-0 in the first phase. After 2006, Sweden has qualified for the World Cup for the first time. After this defeat, Italy will not be able to take part in the World Cup tournaments for the second time. In the 1930 World Cup, Italy refused to play.

 

3.Ajmal told international cricket bye :-

Pakistan’s experienced off-spinner Saeed Ajmal announced on Monday to retire from all formats of international cricket. 40-year-old Ajmal will officially announce his retirement from international cricket after the ongoing National Twenty20 tournament in Pakistan.

 

4.India Government today launched the India-22 Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) managed by ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund :-

The Indian government today launched the India-22 Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) managed by ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund. The goal of ETF is to get an initial amount of Rs 8000 crore. Offer of this new fund is open till 17 November 2017. 25 percent of the plan will be allocated to the investor of each category. The retirement fund in this ETF is investing in a different category. In the case of expansion, the additional part will be allocated while giving priority to retail and retirement funds. All investors will have a discount of 3 percent.

 

5.The first phase of NH 24 project will be completed by the end of the year :-

On this occasion, Shri Gadkari said that the first phase of the NH24 project, under which Akshardham Temple to the Delhi-UP border is going to be completed by December this year. The 9-kilometer, 14-lane highway record is being prepared in 14 months, which was estimated to be completed in 30 months.

 

6.Railway Minister directed to run “comprehensive training program” for all employees of Indian Railways to increase productivity and efficiency :-

A detailed plan is being prepared to train all the staff of Indian Railways for the purpose of enhancing skills and knowledge on the instructions of Railway and Coal Minister Shri Piyush Goyal. The name of this comprehensive training program will be ‘Project Enabled’ and this will help in increasing productivity and work efficiency.

 

7.Mr. R. K. Singh launches a platform focused on information generation and dissemination of Indian power sector – National Power Portal (NPP) :-

Minister of State for Power and New and Renewable Energy (Independent Charge) Shri R. K. Singh today launched a centrally focused platform- National Power Portal (NPP) for information gathering and dissemination of Indian power sector here. The portal can be contacted at http://npp.gov.in./.

NPP is a centralized system for Indian power sector, which provides assistance in the daily, monthly and annual online data capture / input related to power generation in the country from transmission and distribution.

This centralized system is analyzed for various reports, graphs, production, communication and distribution of all Indian, regional and central states and state-level data for private sector related to power sector (operations, capacity, demand, supply, consumption etc.) The information transmits.

9.300 Cyber Security Specialists will be participating in the first Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT) Conference :-

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN) will organize the Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (APCERT) Conference in New Delhi from 12 to 15 November 2017 under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. This is the 15th Conference of APCERT and is the first in India and South Asia. It is expected to participate in 21 economies.

 

10.FY18 Q2 Results: Tata Chemicals’s profits increased by 52% to 273 million, and 79% increase in SpiceJet profits :-

In the second quarter of this financial year, Tata Chemicals’ profits increased 52 percent to Rs 273 crore. The company had a profit of Rs 180 crore in the same period last year. According to the results released on Monday, the operating income of the company was Rs. 3,462 crore, with a slight decrease of 0.7 per cent in this period. On the 30th September, 2017, the company’s consolidated net debt was Rs 4,459 crore. On March 31, 2017, it had a level of Rs 5,573 crore.
