3.Indian Railways to launch new high speed train Vande Bharat-2

Indian Railways will start new high speed Vande Bharat train . Its name will be Vande Bharat -2 and it will have a maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour. It will achieve the speed of 100 km in just 52 seconds. The weight of this new train will be 392 tonnes instead of 430 tonnes and it will also be provided with on-demand Wi-Fi facility. 32-inch LCD in the new Vande Bharat train There will be television and 15 percent more energy efficient AC. Convenience will be there. It has been provided with comfortable seats for all categories of passengers. This new design of Vande Bharat Express will also have a special system for air purifier.

4.Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana- PMMSY completes two years

Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana – PMMSY has completed two years. It is envisaged to create 68 lakh jobs by the end of the year 2024-25 under the scheme . The fisheries sector has witnessed an effective growth of 14.3% from 2019-20 to 2021-22. During the year 2021-22, fish production has reached an all-time high of 161.87 lakh tonnes. The highest ever export of 13.64 lakh tonnes was made in this region, which was Rs.57 thousand 587 crores, in which shrimp was the highest export. Insurance coverage has been provided to 31.47 lakh farmers across the country under PMMSY.

5.India signs MoU with Gulf Cooperation Council to facilitate consultation

External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on developing a Consultative Mechanism between India and the Gulf Cooperation Council with the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council , Naif Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf . Dr Jaishankar discussed the relevance of cooperation between India and the Gulf Cooperation Council in the context of the current regional and global situation in the bilateral meeting. The External Affairs Minister is on a three-day visit to Saudi Arabia from 10 to 12 September. This is his first visit to Saudi Arabia as Foreign Minister.

7.Indian Navy’s Nilgiri class indigenous stealth frigate ‘Taragiri’ launched

The Navy will launch the indigenously built Nilgiri class radar evasion capable Taragiri warship . The warship has been built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited for the Navy. The Taragiri battleship is one hundred and 49 meters long and 17 by 8 meters wide. The vessel is powered by a combination of two gas turbines and two main diesel engines. Taragiri is built on an integrated manufacturing system.

8.National Maritime Heritage Complex to be constructed in Lothal (Gujarat) to showcase India’s rich maritime history

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is building the National Maritime Heritage Complex at Lothal , the historic Indus Valley Civilization region in Gujarat . This will be the first of its kind complex to be built at a cost of Rs.3500 crores which will showcase the rich and diverse maritime heritage of India. The foundation stone of this project was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Ports, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said in a statement that this is one of the major projects under the Sagarmala scheme of his ministry. He said that people would be made aware about the maritime heritage using latest technology. The first phase of the project is likely to be completed by March 2024. Gujarat government is playing an important role in this project.
