This was done with the objective of providing credit facilities to the promoters of enterprises having eligible SMA-2 and NPA accounts. Initially, the tenure of this scheme was till 31.03.2021. In the past, the government had extended this scheme till March 31, 2022, with the aim of keeping the avenue open for providing assistance to the distressed micro, small and medium enterprises units. Now, the government has decided to extend this scheme till 31st March 2023 based on the requests received from various stakeholders of the scheme.
