QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) has released the 2022 QS World University Rankings . The National University of Singapore has topped the rankings for the fourth year in a row. It is followed by Peking University of China in second place and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong at third place. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) (42nd regionally) and IIT Delhi (45th regionally) are the only two Indian institutes in the top-50. IIT Madras, which was ranked 50th last year, is now ranked 54th, losing four places. India has 118 Indian universities followed by China with 126 universities.

5.PhonePe launches token solution ‘Safecard’

Digital payments firm, PhonePe has launched a token solution called ‘ SafeCard ‘ for online debit and credit card transactions . Earlier in September 2021, RBI had created a device-based tokenization framework applicable for Card-on-File Tokenization (CoFT) services as well as Card-on-File (CoF), which means That the credit/debit card details are stored by the merchants for ease of payment.

6.Meghalaya cabinet approves creation of East West Khasi Hills district

On November 5, 2021, the Meghalaya cabinet has approved the proposal to accord the status of a full – fledged district to “ Mairang Civil Sub-Division ” . Marng civil sub-division so ” East West Khasi Hills district ” ( Eastern West Khasi Hills District will go) name. It will be inaugurated on November 10, 2021. The move will help in ensuring that the administration remains close to the people. It will also ensure that the implementation of multiple schemes is more effective. Khasi Hills is a low mountain formation located in Meghalaya.It is situated in the Shillong plateau. These hills are part of the Garo-Khasi-Jaintia range. They join the Purvanchal range as well as the larger Patkai range further east. The Khasi Hills are located in the Meghalaya sub-tropical forest area. Before 1970, the Khasi Hills and the entire state of Meghalaya was administratively a part of Assam. The highest peak in the Khasi Hills region is Lum Shillong. Its height is 1968 meters. It is located a few kilometers south of the city of Shillong.

7.Australia will send a rover to the moon

Private companies in Australia and Canada are developing a Moon mission in collaboration with the University of Technology Sydney . Under this mission, Australian technology will be sent to search for water on the moon by the middle of 2024 . If the plan succeeds, it could be Australia’s first rover to reach the Moon.Will happen. Earlier, the Australian Space Agency announced in October 2021 that it plans to send an Australian-made rover to the Moon by 2026. The Australian-built rover is part of the Australian Space Agency’s deal with NASA. This rover will collect oxygen-rich lunar soil. The rover weighs ten kilograms and measures 60x60x50 cm. It will be launched on the Hakuto lander, built by Japan’s lunar robotic exploration company iSpace. The rover is also built by iSpace. This will include an integrated robotics arm, built by private companies Stardust Technologies (Canada) and Australia’s EXPLOR Space Technology.

8.India’s first rooftop drive-in theater launched in Mumbai

The first open-air rooftop drive-in movie theater in India has been inaugurated at Reliance Industries ‘ Jio World Drive mall in Mumbai, Maharashtra . Operation and management of the drive-in theater multiplex chain PVR Ltd will be. The theater has been launched in partnership with Reliance Retail and multiplex chain PVR. About 290 cars can be accommodated in the facility. The first film to be screened in theaters was Akshay Kumar ‘s Sooryavanshi .

10.Puneet Rajkumar was posthumously awarded Basavshree Award 2021
