1.Campaign for the second phase of Gujarat assembly elections :-

The second and final phase of Gujarat assembly elections is at the peak.

Only three days remain in the promotion. The prominent campaign leaders of political parties are engaged in wooing voters. Addressing a rally in Palanpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi denied the Congress allegation that the Bharatiya Janata Party is a party of the rich and there is no concern with the poor. Shri Modi said that the NDA government has given more Padma awards to the common people in its three-year tenure, unlike the UPA tenure ten years.

 

2.The government will issue the Ubiquitous Identity Letter to Divisions, which will be valid throughout the country for government schemes and reservations :-

Krishna Pal Gurjar, Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, has said that the government will soon issue universal identity cards to the people who will be recognized in whole India.

The identity card issued by any one state is not yet valid in other states, so that there is disagreement among the Divas to get the benefits of various government schemes and reservation. This was stated by Mr. Gurjar in a camp organized to distribute free accessories to the people of Jajjar in Jhajjar yesterday. He said that about five and a half thousand such camps have been organized in the country for the last three years for the Hindus.

 

3.Indian Space Research Organization – ISRO will launch second Chandrayaan till March next year :-

Indian Space Research Organization – ISRO is ready to launch Chandrayaan-II in the first quarter of next year. Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh on tweeters said that it will be launched in the first quarter of next year. ISRO Chairman Dr. Kiran Kumar has confirmed this while talking to journalists in Pune. This will be the second moon campaign of India.

Chandrayaan-2 will have an arbitrator that will rotate the Moon within a radius of 100 kilometers. In this expedition a router will land on the moon’s surface. 4.Nepal’s parliamentary elections in the left wing coalition to the full majority :-

According to the results of the parliamentary elections in Nepal, the Left alliance is moving towards a clear majority. Results of 77 seats for the lower house of 165 members have been received so far. The Left coalition has won 61 of these and it is leading in 56 seats. Babu Ram Bhattarai, the former Prime Minister and the new Shakti Party- Gorkha-2 seat has been elected to Parliament.

After nearly two decades in Nepal, there is hope for a full majority government. So far, CPM Amaley 45 and its allies CPN Maoist Center have won 16 seats. The ruling Nepali Congress has managed just eight seats.

The two main parties of Madhsheen, the Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal and the National Janata Party Nepal won three-three seats. Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has won the election from Dadelaldura. Of the 330 seats out of 330 Assembly seats in seven provinces, the results of 108 have also been declared. Left coalition won 83, Nepali Congress 14 and others won 11.

India  has joined the International Wasseyan System of Arms Export Control . This membership will help in achieving advanced technology for defense and space programs of the country.

India became the 42nd member country of this system. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has expressed gratitude for the support of member countries. He said that this membership was another diplomatic success for India after joining the missile technology control system last year.

The Ministry of External Affairs has said that joining India will prove to be mutually beneficial and will help achieve the goal of international security and nuclear non-proliferation. Regardless of the signing of the Non-Proliferation Treaty, India’s involvement in the system will increase its contribution to the nuclear non-proliferation sector.

At least two people were killed in Palestinian rocket attacks and Israeli air strikes yesterday in the wake of the decision of US President Donald Trump to declare Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

8.ASEAN-India Contact Summit Monday to New Delhi :-

The ASEAN-India Contact Summit is being started from Monday in New Delhi.

The main theme of this two-day conference is to promote digital and physical connectivity for Asia in the 21st Century. The meeting will include Road Transport and Highways and Ship Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Minister of State for External Affairs Gen VK Singh and MJ Akbar.

Enforcement Directorate has seized Rs 10 crore 35 lakhs of mutual funds in the case of Panama Papers.

According to the Enforcement Directorate, mutual funds of Whitefield Cmtack Private Limited have been seized under Section 37A of the Foreign Exchange Management Act. It is owned by the company businessman and former IPL chairman Chirayu Amin and his family. Their names have emerged in the Panama Papers case.

 

10.Hurricane cyclone shift in south-eastern Bengal, storm surge towards West Bengal and Bangladesh :-

The direction of cyclonic storm has changed in the Bay of South Eastern Bengal :-

It is now moving towards West Bengal and Bangladesh. At this time the storm is 150 kilometers away from Gopalpur harbor in Odisha. The effect of this is the possibility of light rain in coastal and northern Odisha today and tomorrow.
