1 Jagat Prakash Nadda to inaugurate e-Sushruta@Clinic

The digitization  of  small clinics and primary health centers  in  the country  is set to gain new momentum. Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare,  Jagat Prakash Nadda,  will launch  ” e-Sushrut@Clinic”  on June 29th . This is  a lightweight, affordable, and  Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM)  -enabled  hospital management information system developed by C-DAC  , specifically designed for small outpatient clinics. Many small clinics in the country still perform tasks such as patient registration, billing, and record management manually. Large hospital management systems prove expensive and complex for them. Addressing this challenge, C-DAC has developed “e-Sushrut@Clinic,” which will provide a simple, cloud-based, and low-cost digital solution. It will be available for use in government primary health centers, health and wellness centers, sub-centers, and private clinics. The system will provide ABDM features such as patient registration, billing, MIS reporting, speech-to-text, clinical decision support system, ABHA search, scan and share, all on a single platform. Health Professional Registry (HPR)-based onboarding will be mandatory to ensure the authenticity of doctors.

2 Bangladesh becomes the 27th member of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA)

 On  June 24, 2026 , Bangladesh  became   the 27th member country  of the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) . The New Delhi-headquartered  organization  was launched in April 2023  and works to conserve big cat species worldwide.  On May 22, 2026, the Bangladesh Cabinet  approved the proposal to join the International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA). The proposal was submitted by the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change. Earlier, on April 8 and 9, 2026, India’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Pranay Verma, discussed the matter with Bangladesh’s Minister of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change, Abdul Awal Mintoo. The International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in April 2023, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Project Tiger. On January 23, 2025, it attained the status of a treaty-based intergovernmental international organization and a legal entity. Its headquarters are located in New Delhi, India. The organization works to conserve and protect seven big cat species worldwide, including tigers, lions, leopards, snow leopards, cheetahs, jaguars, and pumas.

The Vice President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan  ,   released the book ” Sanskriti Ratna Bhandar: Bhauwaiyar Itibritto ” (Bhawaiya: A Cultural Treasure and Its Historical Journey) written by Dr. Jayanta Kumar Roy ,  Member of  Parliament (Lok Sabha)  and  Ms. Sangeeta Roy at Upa-Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. The book is based on the cultural and historical evolution of the traditional  Bhawaiya folk music tradition  of  North Bengal, Assam and adjoining regions  . Bhawaiya is a traditional folk music genre of North Bengal, Assam and adjoining regions. This musical tradition is deeply embedded in the social, cultural and agricultural landscape of the region and remains an important expression of its collective heritage.

 On  June 25 , the central government  appointed  IPS officer Mahesh Dixit  as  the Director of the Intelligence Bureau . Mahesh will replace Tapan Kumar Deka ,  who is completing his tenure on June 30.   Mahesh Dixit is a 1993 batch IPS officer. He was a doctor by profession and later joined the IPS service. The central government has appointed Mahesh as the IB Director for two years. Mahesh was the head of the Srinagar unit of the IB at the time of the abrogation of Article 370. The Intelligence Bureau is India’s internal intelligence agency, which works under the Home Ministry. As the head of the IB, Mahesh Dixit will be responsible for counter-terrorism operations and internal security. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his name.

Madhya Pradesh  ‘s  famous GI-tagged  Rewa  Sundarja  mango  has reached  the international market for the first time . The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has sent  its first commercial consignment  to the United Arab Emirates  . The first consignment of one metric ton of mangoes was exported on June 26. Rewa farmers received a price of Rs 150 per kilogram for the mango, which is higher than the local market price.

7 US President Trump thanks India for naming Hyderabad as ‘Donald Trump Avenue’

US  President  Donald Trump  has thanked India for naming a road  after him in   Hyderabad, Telangana  . President Trump mentioned the naming of Donald Trump Avenue in a social media post. He said that he has become the first US President in whose honour a road has been named in India. Earlier on Wednesday, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu unveiled a plaque officially renaming the road near the US Consulate in Hyderabad as Donald Trump Avenue. The road has been named to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.

8 ICGS Akshay inducted into the Indian Coast Guard fleet

 The  Indian Coast Guard achieved another significant milestone in its modernization drive with the induction of the new generation  Fast Patrol Vessel (FPV) ICGS Akshay into its fleet  at  Goa Shipyard Limited  , Goa on  June 27, 2026.   Designed and built by Goa Shipyard Limited, ICGS Akshay is another significant example of indigenous shipbuilding capabilities. The ship was commissioned into the Indian Coast Guard by  Mrs. Parama Sen,  Additional Secretary (Personnel), Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance.

9 Government lifts restrictions on commercial LPG supply

On June 25th  , the central government  lifted restrictions on the supply of commercial and industrial LPG . Hotels, restaurants, industries, and other commercial buyers  will   now  be provided with LPG as before . This decision was taken following the end of the US-Iran war in West Asia. Bulk LPG supplies, which were suspended during the crisis, have also been resumed. Currently, they have been restored to 50% of pre-crisis consumption. The Ministry of Petroleum has directed oil companies to ensure uninterrupted supply. Global crude oil prices, which had reached $120 per barrel during the war, have now fallen to $73.75 per barrel. The government has also decided to re-utilize a portion of the C3-C4 hydrocarbon stream for petrochemical industries to maintain adequate domestic LPG availability. It also aims to maintain domestic LPG production at at least 40,000 metric tons per day.

10. Resignation of General Secretary and Member of Ram Janmabhoomi Trust

 On  June 26  , Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust  General  Secretary Champat Rai  and  member Anil Mishra  resigned . Their resignations come amid an  ongoing investigation into allegations of theft of offerings and financial management of the Ram Temple  . Both resigned, taking moral responsibility for the ongoing controversy. Uttar Pradesh police have arrested eight people based on the first FIR filed in this case. The case was registered at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi police station based on a complaint by Trust member Krishnamohan.

11 India topped the  ISSF Junior World Championships

India topped the medal table  in  the ISSF Junior World Shooting Championship which concluded on  June 26.   This competition  was held in Germany  . India won  7 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze  medals. India  topped with 24 medals .  Sejal Kamble won 2 gold medals  from India , while  Sameer, Rohit Kanyan, Vanshika Chaudhary, Navya Bishnoi and Pritam Kendre  won one  gold medal each  . ISSF i.e. International Shooting Sports Federation is the global governing body of shooting sports.
