 1.JNPT was awarded the Best Port (Container) Puraskar of the year in the 4th India Marine Puraskar :-

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) was awarded the Best Port (Container) Award for the year under the Fourth India Marine Award 2019. The country’s best ports were nominated in this category. JNPT was given a special honor for its golden age of 30 years in the marine sector.

Various parameters are considered under the best port category , such as development on the basis of previous year, development on last year, total quantity of goods, expansion plans, new initiatives, operation and maintenance of equipment, e -Business and Consumer Satisfaction JNPT has registered growth on all these parameters. In the container operation, the level of five million TEUs achieved the level. The work of development of the fourth terminal is going on. Other development plans of JNPT are: Road infrastructure development project, Driving of navigation channel, development of dry port, JNPT-SEZ project, digitization of services and automatic operation etc.

2.Indigenously developed nuclear-capable missile Prithvi-II test fired successfully:-

India successfully test-fired indigenously developed nuclear-capable missile Prithvi-II as part of a user trial by the Army from a test range off the Odisha coast.The trial of the surface-to-surface missile, which has a strike range of 350 km, was carried out from a mobile launcher from Launch Complex-III of the Integrated Test Range, ITR at Chandipur.The missile is capable of carrying 500 to 1000 kg of warheads and is powered by liquid propulsion twin engines.Prithvi-II was also successfully test-fired on 21st February, last year from the ITR at Chandipur.

The tribals of India have made the world their market by jumping in 190 countries of the world. The Ministry of Triphied and Tribal Affairs has tied up with Amazon Global to increase access to the world of tribals’ native production. In order to maintain the art, workmanship and uniqueness of Indian tribals throughout the world, the world is familiar with them. They can get work, identity and money, so that they can move forward with the people of mainstream and join them on the shoulders.Trifed, engaged in the task of reaching the markets with the identities of the tribals, at a fair price, signed an agreement with Amazon Global on Friday to reach tribal production through the online sale. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for the Minority Renuka Singh said that Trifhed is a platform that can bring a miracle to the lives of tribals.The purpose of this agreement under the Go Tribal Campaign is to provide assistance to the socio-economic welfare of over 700 Indian tribes. Under the GO Tribal campaign, Amazon will take forward three aspects, including Tribes of India Heritage Collection and Tribes of India Natural Collection. This collection includes hand-woven fabrics such as Iqat, Silk, Pashmina. Tribal ornaments like Dokra, Banjara and gifts and utensils are included.Natural collection includes a lot of Telangana, soap in Uttarakhand and spices of Karnataka and much more. Details of these will be available on Trivus India and Amazon website. White rice is known to all but red and black rice will also be available in tribal production. Not only that turmeric is not just yellow, the black turmeric of Manipur will also be included in these products which are worth Rs. 2000 / kg and which have special medicinal properties. Minister of State Renuka Singh also inaugurated the Tribes India Natural Collection on this occasion.In the program organized at India Habitat Center, Trifed’s brand ambassador Rajya Sabha MP and World Winner Boxer Marikam was also present. Marikam appreciated the work done by the Government of India for the tribals in a brief address. He also sang the song on this occasion. Apart from this, Trifed Chairman RC Meena, Managing Director Pravin Krishna and Secretary of the Tribal Ministry Deepak Khandekar also initiated the funding program for the tribals and aimed at opening 300 centers of forest produce in small forests within 100 days. 4.HRD Ministry releases 5-year vision plan on Quality Education:-

The Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Human Resource Development has finalized and released a five-year vision plan named Education Quality Upgradation and Inclusion Programme (EQUIP). This is in accordance with the Prime Minister’s direction for finalizing a five-year vision plan for each Ministry. According to an official release, the report has been prepared after a detailed exercise done by the experts from various areas, including promoting excellence, employability and entrepreneurship among others. The Expert Groups drawn from senior academicians, administrators and industrialists, have suggested more than 50 initiatives that would transform the higher education sector completely.

5.Korean Ambassador To India Bong-Kil Shin Signed Agreement With BMVSS And Launched ‘Jaipur Foot Korea’:-

Korean Ambassador to India Bong-kil Shin aunched ‘Jaipur Foot Korea’. A collaborative initiative between Korea and Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS).This agreement Korea will provide financial and technical assistance to further research and development collaboration in the med-tech sector specifically in the area of prosthetic limbs, bionic arms, 3-D printing-based Flat foot solution, and mobility solutions.The Korean ambassador visited the Jaipur Foot centre with experts agreement will open up access to Korean med-tech students. The job is to join the various prosthetic fitment camps in various countries. These countries participate in certificate programs offered by Jaipur Foot.

6.Sofia Kenin Won The Mallorca Open Title 2019:-

Sofia Kenin of the United States won the Mallorca Open Title 2019. Belinda Bencic of Switzerland with 6-7 (2), 7-6 (5), 6-4 points in the finals. The 4th edition of the tournament was held at Santa Ponsa Tennis Club in Mallorca, Spain. This was her second WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) singles title of the season.

7.MHA Released The Rankings Of Police Stations For 2018; Rajasthan Tops The List:-

Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) released the rankings of police stations for the year 2018. It covered 15,666 police stations. 20% weightage was assigned to the police station’s infrastructure and citizen feedback on the performance of the police personnel posted at the police station and they were evaluated on the basis of crimes against women, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes & property related offences.The scores were calculated based on the number of FIRS (First Information Reports) chargesheeted within 60 days. The Kalu police station in Bikaner district of Rajasthan was ranked the best police station in the country.It was awarded the first rank for its performance in crime prevention, investigation and disposal of cases, crime detection, community policing and maintenance of law and order, women help desk facility, drinking water facility and WiFi.The Campbell Bay police station in Nicobar district of Andaman & Nicobar Islands ranked second. It has facilities like a separate woman help desk, a child-friendly room, an IT (Information Technology) room and a proper waiting room for the complainants and visitors.Farakka police station in Murshidabad, West Bengal was ranked third for its facilities like air- conditioners, a gymnasium and playground that provides a comfortable environment for public-police interaction, CCTV cameras, fire safety facilities and oxygen cylinders.Other stations are Nettapakkam in Puducherry, Gudageri in Dharwad,Karnataka, Chopal in Shimla, Lakheri in Bundi, Rajasthan, Periyakulam in Theni, Tamil Nadu.
