1.Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Bundelkhand Expressway in Jalaun district of Uttar Pradesh

The Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi , inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway at Kaitheri village in Orai tehsil of Jalaun , Uttar Pradesh . Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath on this occasion. And ministers of state and public representatives were present. Prime Minister Narendra Modi planted a plant of Harishankari on this expressway. On this occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented a painting and a gamcha made in Bundelkhandi Chanderi style to the Prime Minister. The 296-km, four-lane expressway has been constructed under the aegis of Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) at a cost of about Rs 14,850 crore, and may later be expanded to six lanes as well. It extends from NH-35 at Gonda village near Bharatkup in Chitrakoot district to Kudrail village in Etawah district, where it meets with the Agra-Lucknow Expressway. It passes through seven districts – Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone for the construction of Bundelkhand Expressway on February 29, 2020. Its construction work was completed in 28 months.

5.Ministry of Women and Child Development issues detailed guidelines for ‘Mission Shakti’ aimed at safety, security and empowerment of women

The Ministry of Women and Child Development has issued detailed guidelines for the ‘ Mission Shakti ‘ scheme. Government of India 15th Finance CommissionIntegrated Women Empowerment Program named ‘Mission Shakti’ as a specific scheme for safety, security and empowerment of women for implementation during the period 2021-22 to 2025-26. The norms of ‘Mission Shakti’ will be applicable from 01.04.2022. ‘Mission Shakti’ is a scheme in mission mode which aims to strengthen support for women safety, security and empowerment. The scheme will address the issues affecting women throughout their life cycle and bring about a change in their lives and make them equal partners in nation-building through citizen-ownership. In this way, the scheme will fulfill the government’s commitment to “development of women”. Mission Shakti has two sub-schemes:
SambalSambal sub-scheme is related to the safety of women. This includes the components “One Stop Centre, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and One Stop Centre” under a new component called “Nari Adalat”.
Samarth – Samarth sub-scheme is related to empowerment of women. It includes components of schemes like Ujjwala, Swadhar Greh and Working Women Hostel with some modifications.

7.Defense Minister inaugurates Project 17AKY-3023 Battleship Dunagiri at GRSE Limited in Kolkata

8.KVIC launches Knowledge Portal for Khadi created by Center of Excellence for Khadi

Knowledge Portal for Khadi has been launched by Center of Excellence for Khadi. It is a developed platform for providing design instruction to Khadi Institutions. The portal was inaugurated by Ms. Preeta Verma , CEO, Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) on 14 July 2022. Center of Excellence for Khadi in NIFT (NIFT) has been established by KVIC of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to support Khadi Institutions. The information will be updated twice a year to provide directions according to season and trends. It is envisaged that the information will be valuable not only to Khadi institutions but also to organizations supporting Khadi in apparel development, home products and packaging.

9.Dr. S Jaishankar launches book ‘Connecting Through Culture’

10.Upgradation of National Institute of Rail Transport as Gati Shakti University approved

National Institute of Rail and Transport at Vadodara, Gujarat upgraded as Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya , Deemed University to be upgraded to Central University . The name of the university has been changed to Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya. The Union Cabinet approved the Central Universities Act, 2009 to establish Gati Shakti University (GSV).Approved the introduction of the Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2022 in the Parliament to amend the This amendment will help in converting National Institute of Rail and Transport (NRTI), a deemed-to-be university, into Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, a central university. NRTI offers BSc in Transportation Technology, BBA in Transportation Management courses and MSc in Railway Systems Engineering and Integration.

Recently , scientists from the University of Houston (US) have developed an electrolyte that makes a significant contribution to making sodium ion batteries more commercially viable. Soon sodium-based battery technology, lithium-based batterycan be taken as an alternative. The study found that ambient temperature solid-state sodium-sulfur battery technology can be used for grid-level energy storage systems with the help of new electrolytes. New structural and structural design methods set a new paradigm for manufacturing safe, low-cost, energy-intensive, long-lasting solid-state sodium batteries. These are rechargeable batteries that require sodium ion movement between the electrodes during charging and discharging of the battery, and in these batteries the sodium acts as the cathode.

14.G-20: India and Indonesia agree on coordination of payment systems

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaraman has said that there is a need to make the G20 common work model more and more effective. He said this while addressing the third session of International Financial Structure held in Bali , Indonesia . Indonesia to host this third meeting of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governorsdoing. India and Indonesia have agreed to coordinate payment systems in the G20. The two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Bali on the sidelines of the meeting. It collaborated on a number of issues including payment systems and preventing terrorist funding. Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Michael Debabrata Patra and BI Deputy Governor Dodi Budi Valuyo signed the MoU in the presence of RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das and BI Governor Perry Varjio.

15.RBI slaps Rs 1.67 crore fine on Ola Financial Services

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed a monetary penalty of Rs 1.67 crore on Ola Financial Services Pvt Ltd for non-compliance of certain provisions relating to pre-paid payment instruments and Know Your Customer Norms . The penalty has been imposed in exercise of powers vested in RBI under Section 30 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007.

18.Agnikul Cosmos opens India’s first private rocket engine factory in Chennai

Space tech startup, Agnikul Cosmos has inaugurated India’s first factory to manufacture 3D-printed rocket engines in Chennai . The facility will use additive manufacturing technology to manufacture 3D printed rocket engines and will be used to build engines for its in-house rockets. It was unveiled by Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran and ISRO Chairman S Somnath in the presence of IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre) Chairman Pawan Goenka .

19.Samsung develops world’s fastest graphics DRAM chip

Samsung said it has developed a new graphics dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) chip with faster speeds and better power efficiency . The 24-Gigabit Graphics Double Data Rate 6 ( GDDR6 ) adopts third-generation, 10-nanometer technology and its data processing speed is more than 30 percent faster than existing products, the company said in a statement . The new DRAM chip can process graphic images at a rate of 1.1 terabytes per second, which Samsung claims is the fastest in the world and is equivalent to processing 275 Full HD movies a second.

20.NASSCOM ties up with Google for Digivani Call Center

NASSCOM Foundation and Google have announced setting up of a call center in collaboration with the Indian Society of Agribusiness Professionals (ISAP) , a non-profit organization, to help women farmers grow their businesses . The “ Dijivani Call Center ” project is being run on a pilot basis and will initially cover around 20,000 rural women entrepreneurs in six states, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana and Rajasthan .
