The Ministry of Textiles has issued notification for setting up of seven PM Mitra Parks . The objective of this scheme is to create a self-reliant India as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and to give India an important place in the international textile market. PM Mitra Yojana is inspired by the Five-F concept of the Prime Minister . Five-F stands for: Farm to Fiber , Fiber to Factory , Factory to Fashion and Fashion to Foreign. This integrated approach will ensure the strength of the textiles sector in the economy. Under this scheme, seven PM Mega Integrated Textile Sectors and Apparel Parks will be set up at green field or brown field sites in the interested states. For green field PM Mitra Park, 30 percent capital support of the project cost will be provided by the Center, subject to a maximum limit of Rs 500 crore. For brown field projects, 30 percent of the cost will be given by the center, subject to a maximum limit of Rs 200 crore.
