2 National Tribal Painting Exhibition – “Aadi Chitra” inaugurated in Mumbai as part of Tribal Pride Year Fortnight to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda

Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi , the Ministry of Tribal Affairs , Government of India , is advancing the holistic development and empowerment of tribal communities through initiatives that integrate art, culture, entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. In this spirit, the Ministry, in collaboration with the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India Limited (TRIFED), is organizing the National Tribal Painting Exhibition, ” Aadi Chitra .” As part of the ongoing Tribal Pride Year fortnight (November 1-15, 2025) commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Dharti Aaba, the exhibition was inaugurated on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the P.L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy, Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Bringing together over 100 exquisite tribal artworks, Aadi Chitra seeks to provide visitors with an immersive journey into India’s vibrant indigenous art traditions. The exhibition includes:
- Warli paintings from Maharashtra
- Saura and Pattachitra art from Odisha
- Gond and Bhil art from Madhya Pradesh
- Pithora paintings from Gujarat
Each artwork reflects the deep connections between nature, spirituality and community life – telling stories of harmony, resilience and the eternal bond between man and his environment.
3 Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the DPSU building

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday inaugurated a state-of-the-art DPSU building and presided over the signing of three key MoUs (Memorandum of Understandings) between defense public sector undertakings (PSUs) aimed at strengthening the spirit of self-reliance and collaboration . On this occasion, he also honored four defense public sector undertakings for receiving Miniratna status. During the event, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) signed two MoUs with Yantra India Limited (YIL). These agreements aim to support YIL’s modernization and establish a 10,000-tonne capacity forging press plant, a significant step towards reducing import dependence on aluminum alloys used in the defense and aerospace sectors. HAL has committed an interest-free advance of ₹435 crore to YIL, while BDL will supply a continuous workload of up to 3,000 metric tons over the next ten years. The third MoU was signed for setting up a Metal Bank at MIDHANI to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials required for defence projects of national importance. To promote sustainable and green defence production, Rajnath Singh launched the SWAYAM (Sustainable and Green Defence Manufacturing) initiative. This is a comprehensive document that reflects the green transition taking place in DPSUs. Based on the Comprehensive Energy Efficiency Action Plan (CEEAP) 2023, SWAYAM details measures to increase energy efficiency, adopt renewable energy, and reduce carbon emissions. Powered by digital tools like the SWARNA Dashboard and the DPSU Efficiency Index, this initiative reflects the government’s commitment to aligning sustainability and self-reliance.
4 Shri Amit Shah addressed the international conference of urban cooperative credit sector ‘Co-Op Kumbh 2025’ in New Delhi as the Chief Guest

Union Home and Cooperative Minister Shri Amit Shah addressed the international conference on the urban cooperative credit sector, “Co-Op Kumbh 2025, ” in New Delhi as the chief guest. Launching the ” Sahakar DigiPay ” and ” Sahakar DigiLoan” mobile apps at the two-day international conference, Amit Shah stated that digital payments are the need of the hour as India moves towards a cashless economy. Urban cooperative banks must adopt digital transactions to remain competitive. He set a target of connecting 1,500 urban cooperative banks to this platform within two years. He also set a goal of establishing one urban cooperative bank in every city with a population of over 200,000 within five years. He emphasized that while cooperatives are a state subject, the central government has ensured uniformity by providing policy guidance. The Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) model has now been adopted by almost all states, paving the way for their computerization and expansion of services. Referring to the global achievements of two major cooperative institutions, Amul and IFFCO, Amit Shah said that the International Cooperative Association (ICA) has ranked Amul as the world’s number 1 and IFFCO as the number 2 cooperative institution, which is a proof that India’s cooperative model is as relevant and effective today as it was decades ago.

6 India and Saudi Arabia sign cultural cooperation agreement

Minister of Culture and Tourism, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat , and Saudi Arabia ‘s Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, signed a bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Cooperation in Riyadh on November 9, 2025. The MoU aims to strengthen cultural ties between the two countries by promoting cooperation in various cultural fields, including art, heritage, music, and literature. It focuses on promoting cultural exchanges, sharing regulatory and policy experiences, and facilitating participation in festivals and events. The agreement also encourages communication between cultural institutions and promotes the exchange of knowledge and practices related to the preservation of cultural heritage.
7 India-Sri Lanka joint exercise Mitra Shakti XI-2025 begins

The eleventh edition of the joint military exercise “Exercise Mitra Shakti-2025” between India and Sri Lanka began at the Foreign Training Centre in Belagavi, Karnataka. The exercise will run from November 10 to 23, 2025. The Indian contingent consists of 170 soldiers, most of whom are from the Rajput Regiment. The Sri Lankan side has 135 soldiers, most of whom are from the Gajaba Regiment. Twenty Indian Air Force and 10 Sri Lankan Air Force personnel are also participating in the exercise.

10 Samrat Rana wins gold medal at ISSF World Shooting Championship in Cairo, Egypt

India’s Samrat Rana won the gold medal in the men’s 10m air pistol event at the ISSF Shooting World Championships in Cairo . With this victory, Rana became the first Indian to win an individual air pistol world title . Rana won the gold medal in the men’s 10m air pistol event with a score of 243.7. Varun Tomar, also from India, took the bronze . Both shooters had previously topped the qualification round with scores of 586 each. Rana, along with Varun Tomar and Shravan Kumar, also helped India win the gold medal in the men’s 10m air pistol team event . Rana became the fifth Indian shooter to win a world title in an Olympic event. Previously, this feat was achieved by Abhinav Bindra, Rudraksh Patil, Tejaswini Sawant, and the pair of Shiv Narwal and Esha Singh. Two-time Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker missed out on an individual medal but won the silver medal in the women’s team event with Esha Singh and Suruchi Singh. India’s medal tally at the Cairo Championships has reached nine, with three gold, three silver, and three bronze medals. India is second in the medal tally, behind China, which has 12 medals.

12 Eminent poet and lyricist, Ande Shri passes away in Hyderabad at the age of 64

Renowned poet and lyricist, Aande Sri , passed away in Hyderabad . He was the author of the Telangana state song, “Jai Jayahe Telangana.” Aande Sri was born as Aande Yelanna in 1961 in Rebarthi village, Siddipet district. Aande Sri was one of the most renowned figures in Telugu literature. He composed “Jai Jayahe Telangana,” which became a rallying cry for millions during the statehood movement and was adopted as the official state song of Telangana. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Telangana movement and literature, Kakatiya University conferred an honorary doctorate on him. Recently, the Telangana state government honored him with a cash prize of ₹1 crore during the State Formation Day celebrations.
