1.India proposes to raise fees on 30 US products :-

2.External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj travels to four countries – Italy, France, Luxembourg and Belgium :-

External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has left for four countries Italy , France , Luxembourg and Belgium. Mrs. Swaraj will arrive in Italy today in the first phase of her journey. This will be the first major political exchange between the two countries after taking over the role of Italy’s new Prime Minister Judge Capte. Mrs. Swaraj will meet Prime Minister Kante and review the mutual relations with the Foreign Minister of Italy. Mrs. Swaraj will be in France from 18th to 19th of June. During this time they will review the bilateral relations with the Foreign Minister there. They will arrive in Luxembourg on June 19. The External Affairs Minister is scheduled to travel to Belgium between June 20 and 23. In Brussels, he will meet the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister there.

 

3.More ATMs will be set up for tribal people in Gujarat soon :-

More ATMs will be set up for tribal people in Gujarat soon. Secretary of State Tribal Development Department Ramesh Chand Meena told a news agency that forty places have been identified to set up ATMs in tribal-bound areas of Gujarat. Mr. Meena said that the objective is to provide basic banking facilities to the tribal people living in far-flung areas.

 

4.Organizing Yoga Day for the first time at SCO Headquarters :-

Programs related to International Yoga Day have begun in China. The program was organized on the occasion of the Yoga Day for the first time on Saturday in the headquarters of the SCO. The United Nations has declared World Yoga Day on 21st June. In China this program is organized on a large scale every year, and it involves a large number of people. But , was held for the first time this program SCO headquarters. On this occasion, the Secretary General of SCO Rashid Alimov , Indian Ambassador to China Gautam Bambalay , his wife Amita Bambawale , diplomats from many countries and common people interested in yoga were present. After the program, Alimov said that we are very happy to organize Yoga Day.

 

5.UK court orders Vijay Mallya to pay at least 2 million pounds to Indian banks :-

Businessman Vijay Mallya, who was declared a proclaimed offender from India, has suffered a major setback. A UK court has ordered Vijay Mallya to return the money of Indian banks. That’s 2 million pounds i.e. around 1.80 crores. Britain’s Court Judge Andrew Henshaw had refused to overturn a worldwide order to surrender Mallya’s property last month. He justified the recovery of about 1.145 billion pounds from the Indian banks’ group of Mallya. The court has ordered that Vijay Mallya return the money to the banks fighting against him. The two parties agree on any one amount Or then assess the money spent by the court banks in the legal process. If the court assesses the money, then it has its own separate process, which will be completed with court hearing. But in the meantime, Mallya has to pay about £ 2 million as a legal expense.

 

6.Agriculture Scientific Recruitment Board will change, Chairman will be Senior Administrative Officer, Draft Cabinet :-

In order to make the recruitment process of agricultural scientists transparent, the government has decided to change the selection system. The proposed cabinet note for this is under consideration of the Union Cabinet. However, agricultural scientists are also raising fears about the proposed change. The post of members of the Agricultural Scientific Selection Board is currently filled with senior agricultural scientists. After the cabinet approval, senior administrative officers will be appointed to the post of Chairman.

The appointment process of the Agriculture Scientific Recruitment Board (ASRB) has been changed in the Cabinet draft. Three members will remain agricultural scientists as before, but now a full time chairman will be appointed in it. For this post it would be necessary to be senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service, at least he should be of the level of secretary level. After approval of the cabinet, scientists can not be appointed in this post.

 

7.Seychelles canceled naval project with India :-

8.India will organize the European Film Festival :-

In order to highlight European cinema, the European Film Festival (EUFF) will be inaugurated on June 18, 2018 at the Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi. At this year’s Film Festival, there will be some extraordinary stories for cinema lovers with the selection of 24 new European films from 23 European member countries.
The EFF has been organized by the Directorate of Film and Festival of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, in partnership with representatives of European Union member states’ embassies in the European Union and various City Film Club.
During the festival from 18 June to 31 August, films will be displayed in 11 cities of the country, including New Delhi, Chennai, Port Blair, Puducherry, Kolkata, Jaipur, Visakhapatnam, Thrissur, Hyderabad and Goa.

 

9.Comprehensive Water Management Report issued by the Policy Commission :-

The Comprehensive Water Management Report was released by the Commission on June 14, 2018. According to this report, India is going through the most serious water crisis in its history. In the absence of proper management and use of water, water conservation will deepen in coming years.
According to the report, the situation is that 600 million people are facing severe water conservation and 2,00,000 people die in the absence of pure water per annum.
The report says that by 2030, the demand for water in India is estimated to double in supply, due to which millions of people will have to face severe water conservation.
