The Prime Minister , Shri Narendra Modi , addressed the ‘ Garib Kalyan Sammelan ‘ in Shimla , Himachal Pradesh . This unique public event is being organized in state capitals, district headquarters and Krishi Vigyan Kendras across the country to commemorate the completion of eight years of the government led by Prime Minister Modi. The concept of this conference is to enable the elected public representatives across the country to interact directly with the public to get feedback about the various welfare programs being run by the government. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi also released the 11th installment of financial benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. by thisAn amount of about 21,000 crores will be transferred to more than 10 crore beneficiary farmer families . On this occasion, the Prime Minister also interacted with the beneficiaries of (PM-Kisan) across the country. Himachal Pradesh Governor Shri Rajendra Arlekar, Himachal Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur and Union Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur were present on the occasion in Shimla.

2.The Gen Next Democracy Network program of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) concluded.

Recently , the ten-day Gen Next Democracy Network program of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) concluded. Six countries – Ghana, Bangladesh, Peru, Nepal, Brunei and Norway at the closing ceremony27 delegates from India shared their experiences of visiting India. Under this, emerging young leaders of 75 democratic countries of the world got an opportunity to exchange information and ideas about India’s cultural diversity, art, democracy and other subjects. The Ghanaian MP praised India and said that India’s culture, language and people are amazing. The Gen-Next Democracy Network program aims to define India’s democratic governance structure at various levels and develop an understanding of the success of India’s democratic journey around the world. ICCR organized the first batch of Gen-Next Democracy program in November 2021 under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, which included Bhutan, Jamaica, Poland, Malaysia, Sweden, Sri Lanka, Representatives from eight countries such as Tanzania and Uzbekistan were involved. The delegation visited India from 25 November to 2 December 2021 to understand the rich democratic traditions of India, while the second batch concluded on 29 May 2022. The third batch is going to start in July this year.

3.Defense Ministry signs an agreement with Bharat Dynamic Limited

The government has approved the continuation of the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program for the next five years . Now this program will continue for the period of the Fifteenth Finance Commission from the year 2021-22 to the year 2025-26 . An outlay of about thirteen thousand five hundred 54 crores has been sanctioned for this. The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises is implementing this program. Its objective is to create employment opportunities for unemployed youth by setting up small enterprises in the non-farm sector. Since the implementation of this program in the year 2008-09, a subsidy of Rs.19,995 crore has been given to seven lakh 80 thousand micro enterprises. This has created employment opportunities for about 64 lakh youth.

10.Public Sector Banks Doubled Net Profit To About Rs 66,500 Crore In FY22

According to the Geological Survey of India (GSI) , Jamui district of Bihar has about 222.88 million tonnes of gold reserves including 37.6 tonnes of mineral-rich ore. For this, the Bihar government has given permission for the discovery of ‘country’s largest’ gold deposits in Jamui district. The state’s Mines and Geology Department is in consultation with agencies engaged in exploration, including the GSI and the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), for the discovery of gold deposits in Jamui. The consultation process was started after analyzing the findings of the GSI. In this, there was indication of gold in areas like Karmatia, Jhajha and Sono of Jamui district.
