1 PM Modi arrives in France, will co-chair the AI Action Summit
PM Modi arrived in France on Monday on the first leg of his two-nation visit . During his stay in Paris , the PM will co-chair the AI Action Summit , a gathering of world leaders and global tech CEOs where they will exchange views on a collaborative approach to AI technology for innovation and broader public good. The bilateral part of PM Modi’s visit to France from February 10 to 12 will provide an opportunity to review progress on the 2047 Horizon roadmap for India-France strategic partnership with French President Emmanuel Macron . The two leaders will also visit the historic French city of Marseille to inaugurate the first Indian Consulate in France and will also visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project .
2 Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh resigned
Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh resigned from his post. He submitted his resignation to Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Imphal Raj Bhavan . The Governor has directed him to take charge until the new government is formed. In such a situation, N. Biren Singh will work as the acting Chief Minister of Manipur. Let us tell you that N. US President Donald Trump has signed an order imposing 25 per cent tariffs on steel and aluminium imports . The tariffs will apply to all imports of steel and aluminium into the US, including from top suppliers Canada and Mexico. Trump indicated he may consider exemptions for Australia as Australia imports aircraft manufactured in the US. Trump’s move is in addition to a new 10 per cent tariff on goods from China and a 25 per cent tariff on Canada and Mexico that are currently on hold.
4 Indian Army and Indian Air Force joint military exercise ‘Winged Raider’
The Indian Army and the Indian Air Force jointly conducted a comprehensive training exercise named ‘ Winged Raiders’ in the Eastern Command . The exercise focused on special air operations and was aimed at enhancing and strengthening inter-service synergy. This joint military exercise is part of the Government of India’s effort to establish an Integrated Theatre Command in the country, with interoperability between the armed forces being a key component. Exercise ‘Winged Raiders’ focused on special air operations and was conducted in the Eastern Command area of the Indian Army. During the exercise, personnel from the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force practised various aerial insertion techniques from both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) , Central Government and Korea Transport Institute (KOTI) , Republic of Korea (ROK) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in logistics and infrastructure development . The MoU was signed by Mr. Youngchan Kim, President, KOTI and Amit Kumar, Ambassador of India to Republic of Korea at Sejong National Research Complex, South Korea today. The MoU will enhance cooperation in logistics and infrastructure development, leveraging KOTI’s expertise to support India’s ambitious infrastructure initiatives. Joint working meetings will be held to take the initiative forward.
6 India’s semiconductor market will reach $103 billion by 2030, boosted by PLI scheme
India’s semiconductor market is growing at a rapid pace. Large investments are being made in this sector due to the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme of the Central Government. The total value of this market is $52 billion in 2024-25. The semiconductor market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13% to reach $103.4 billion by 2030. The highest demand for semiconductors in India is in mobile phones, IT and industrial applications which contribute to 70% of the total revenue of this industry. Apart from this, the automobile and industrial electronics sectors are also growing rapidly.

The Mumbai Open is the only WTA tournament to be held in India.

In the 2025 Chennai Open final, Kirian Jacquet, ranked world number 273, won his first ATP title by defeating Elias Ymer of Sweden, ranked world number 332, 7(7)–6(1), 6–4 in the final.
