1.1st batch of five Rafale aircraft formally inducted into Indian Air Force

The first batch of five Rafale aircraft was formally inducted into Indian Air Force at a special function held at Air Force Station, Ambala.Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and his French Counterpart also witnessed the air display of Rafale fighter aircraft flanked by SU-30 and Jaguar aircraft in arrow formation.An air show was held by daredevils of the Air Force by flying the indigenous aircrafts Tejas while Sarang Helicopter Aerobatic team also participated in the airshow.Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat and Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal R K S Bhadauria are also present on the occasion.These aircraft will be part of 17 Squadron, the Golden Arrows.The first five Rafale aircraft had arrived at Air Force Station, Ambala from France on 27th of July this year.Water cannon salute was given to the Rafale fighter aircraft at the airbase.

2.PM Modi digitally launches Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana & e-Gopala App

Prime Minister Narendra Modi digitally launched the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).Mr Modi also inaugurated the e-Gopala App, a comprehensive breed improvement marketplace and information portal for direct use of farmers.Matsya Sampada Yojana focuses on value addition and upgradation of critical infrastructure. Mr Modi said, the scheme will also boost welfare of those associated with fishing and create employment.The PMMSY is a flagship scheme for focused and sustainable development of the fisheries sector in the country with an estimated investment of Rs. 20,050 crore.The investment of Rs. 20,050 crore under PMMSY is the highest ever in the fisheries sector.Mr Modi also announced the establishment of a fish brood bank at Sitamarhi and an aquatic disease referral laboratory at Kishanganj.The PMMSY is aimed at enhancing fish production by an additional 70 lakh tonne by 2024-25, increasing fisheries export earnings to one lakh crore rupees by 2024-25, doubling the incomes of fishermen and fish farmers.

3.SBI planning to launch loan product ‘SAFAL’ for organic cotton growers

State Bank of India is planning to launch a loan product, SAFAL.The product Safe and Fast Agriculture Loan (SAFAL) is primarily focussed on organic cotton growers who don’t have any credit history.SBI will use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for this purpose.

4.PM Modi to address Conclave on School Education in 21st Century through video conferencing 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the Conclave on “School Education in 21st Century” under the National Education Policy- 2020 through video conferencing today.

The Ministry of Education is organising this two day conclave which began  yesterday as part of the Shiksha Parv. NEP-2020 is the first education policy of the twenty-first century. It was announced 34 years after   the previous National Policy on Education 1986. NEP-2020 is directed towards major reforms in both school and higher education levels.

The new National Education Policy aims at making India  an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. It envisions an India-centred education system that contributes directly to transforming India into a Global Superpower. NEP-2020 brought in sweeping reforms in School Education in the country. At the school level emphasis is being given to Universalisation of Early Childhood Care and Education  for children up to the age 8. 102 structure of school curricula is to be replaced by a 5334 curricular structure. The comprehensive transformation aimed in the NEP will bring about a paradigm shift in the country’s education system and create an enabling and reinvigorated educational ecosystem for a new Atmanirbhar Bharat envisaged by the Prime Minister.

5.PM Modi to participate in ‘Griha Pravesh’ ceremony virtually

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in ‘Griha Pravesh’ ceremony and virtually inaugurate 1.75 lakh houses in Madhya Pradesh tomorrow. Mr Modi will also talk to some of the beneficiaries.

The house of Subhash and Sushila of Urdan village of Betul district of MP has been completed recently under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

Subhash’s wife Sushila said that we had received one and a half lakh rupees from the government to build a house.

To make the house bigger and save the money of wages, we  have built our two-storey house with continuous hard work for 49 days. It includes three rooms, a dalan, a kitchen and a small garden.

Betul District Panchayat CEO ML Tyagi said that the way Subhash and Sushila worked hard to prepare the house themselves is remarkable for others too.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also been impressed by this couple of Betul.PM will also talk to Sushila and Subhash during a dialogue with the beneficiaries of PM Awas on 12 September.

6.Anil Jain Becomes Tennis Association President

The All India Tennis Association (AITA) elected BJP Rajya Sabha member Anil Jain as its new president.Anil Jain will replace Praveen Mahajan as AITA president.Also, Anil Dhupar was chosen as its secretary general during the national federation’s Annual General Meeting in New Delhi.India’s Davis Cup captain Rohit Rajpal was elected as the treasurer for a four-year term till 2024.All the office bearers as well as the new executive committee members were elected unopposed.
