1.PM Modi launches Kisan Maha Nidhi Yojana:-Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the Prime Minister Kisan Adhyayan Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. Under this, the first installment of two thousand rupees was deposited in the bank account of more than one crore small farmers in the country. He started the scheme and said that before the Atal ji’s government there was a separate ministry for the tribals. There was a separate ministry for the development of the North East. Now again the BJP government has decided to set up a separate ministry for the development of people associated with fish farming.

PM Modi said that now farmers will be able to get loans of up to Rs 60,000, without bank guarantee through Kisan credit card. The Prime Minister said that the things which people considered as impossible before, are making them possible. In the last four and a half years, more than 17 crore Health Health Cards have been given by the government in two phases. With the decision of 100% neem coating of urea, we have stopped the use of fertilizer.

Shri Modi said that our government has fulfilled the years old demand of farmers on MSP. Support of 22 crops of Rabi and Kharif has been fixed at more than 50% of the cost cost. Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme has also been set up to save the farmers from the weather.

2.Chabahar port: The new route for India to be exported, goods from Afghanistan to Iran. :-The diplomatic stance that India played by making Chabahar port in Iran will now be affected. The first consignment of Afghanistan’s products from this port will reach India in the next few days. On Sunday, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani flagged off 23 trucks of convoy from Jaranj city of Nimrazz province. These trucks have a total of 570 tonnes of goods, including carpets made in Afghanistan, dried fruits and cotton, which will be released from Chabahar to India. By now these products were brought to India from Pakistan’s Attic border through Pakistan.

Apart from Ghani, diplomats from Indonesia and Kazakhstan were present along with ambassadors of India, Turkey and Iran besides organizing the ceremony to send goods to India. Many obstacles have been raised by Pakistan to discourage the products coming from Afghanistan. From last year, India has started importing Afghan goods from the airways. Now Chabahar Port will replace it.

3.At present, India is the seventh most powerful country in the world in space :-US President Donald Trump has announced the deployment of Space Force in the US Army, citing increased competition and threats. Now going one step further in this preparation, he has signed the order of the Defense Department to prepare a legal draft for military presence in space.

4.GST rates cut on real estate to meet home buyers’ needs: CII :-GST Council has decided to reduce its GST rate by 8% (with abatement) to 1% and GST by 12% (with abatement) to 5% on the normal housing basis at its crucial meeting held on 24th February. The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) says that the reduction of rates will fulfill the needs of the house buyers and the sale of houses will also be encouraged.

CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee said, “Real estate sector and housing sector promote construction and generate employment. You should know these five things about the Prime Minister’s Kisan Award Fund Scheme:

1.The Prime Minister Kisan Pratishthan Nidhi Yojana (PM-Kisan) was announced in the interim budget presented on February 1 for the financial year 2019-20. However, this scheme will be effective from December 1, 2018 and will benefit more than 12 crore farmers.

2.Under this scheme, small and marginal farmers will be given 6,000 rupees annually. These will be given to farmers who own land up to 2 hectares.

 

3.This amount will be given in three installments of Rs. 2,000 and it will be directly transferred to the account of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer.

 

4.PM farmer is fully funded by the Central Government. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, through a press release, this plan will cost an annual expenditure of Rs 75,000 crore.

 

5.The existing land ownership system will be used for identification of beneficiaries in the States / UT (Union territories). Those who have their names in the land records till February 1, 2019 will be considered eligible for the benefit of this scheme.
