1.PM Modi to launch Pradhan MantriShram Yogi MandhanYojana, other projects in Gujarat:-Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Pradhan MantriShram Yogi MandhanYojana at Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The national pension scheme for workers and labourers ofunorganised sector was announced in the Interim Budget in February this year. It will provide monthly pension of 3000 rupees to the employees of the unorganised sector after 60 years of age. The scheme will benefit 10 crore workers in unorganised sector.The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Annapurna Dham Trust in Adalaj for the ground breaking ceremony of a ShikshanBhavan and a VidyarthiBhavan.

2.Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates the factory producing the AK-203 rifle in Amethi:-Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated 17 development projects worth more than Rs 538 crore in Amethi in Uttar Pradesh. These projects also include a factory producing AK-203 rifles. It will be equipped with the assistance of Russia’s sophisticated rifle of the Clashnikov series.

Later in a public meeting, the Prime Minister said that the rifles created here will ease the security forces in dealing with terrorists and Naxalites.Our soldiers are definitely going to get a lot of boost in encounters with the terrorists and Maoists from the Made Amethi AK-203 rifles. In the factory of Amethi, these rifles will be made in the hundreds of thousands. Going forward, there will be a rifle here. They will also be exported to other countries of the world. This will also create new employment opportunities for the youth of Amethi.

The Prime Minister, while criticizing the opposition, said that the army had demanded modern weapons from the then government in 2005, and the foundation stone of the modern weaponry was laid in Amethi in 2007, but by 2010, the then government could not decide that Which weapon is there? He said that the National Democratic Alliance government decided to complete the demand for modern weapons of the armies.

3.Pakistan reinstates agreement to run between Lahore and Delhi:-Pakistan has restored the Compromise Express that runs between Lahore and Delhi. The relationship between the two countries was stopped last year due to the tension.

4.Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire near the Line of Control in Akhnoor sector:-Pakistani Army violated the ceasefire by targeting the villages and the advance posts near the Line of Control in Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir.Defense spokesman told in Jammu that at around three o’clock in the morning, the firing started from across the border till six and a half hours. They said that Pakistan fired untold fires and mortars were fired on behalf of Pakistan. The spokesman said that the Indian soldiers responded to this. There is no news of any casualties from India.

5.India’s determination for peace, but if necessary, will protect its sovereignty with full force: President RamnathKovind:- President RamnathKovind has said that India is committed to peace but if necessary it will protect its sovereign power with full power. He said that the Armed Forces are committed to protect the country and the Air Force has proved it by proving it. Shri Kovind said that the country has seen the courage and dedication of the Armed Forces recently.

7.Rajnath Singh to inaugurate project BOLD-QIT on India-Bangladesh border in Dhubri, Assam:-Home Minister Rajnath Singh will  inaugurate the project BOLD-QIT (Border Electronically Dominated QRT Interception Technique) on India-Bangladesh border in Dhubri District of Assam. Border Security Force, BSF is responsible for safeguarding of over four thousand kilometer long International Border with Bangladesh. At various places, it is not possible to erect Border Fence due to the geographical barriers.The 61 kilometer of Border area in Dhubri District, where River Brahmaputra enters into Bangladesh is consisting of vast char lands and innumerable river channels thus making border guarding in this area, a daunting task especially during rainy season. To overcome this problem, in the year 2017, Ministry of Home Affairs decided to go for technological solution besides the physical presence of manpower of BSF. In January 2018, Information and Technology Wing of BSF undertook the project BOLD-QIT under Comprehensive Integrated Border Management system  and completed it in record time with the technical support of various manufacturers and suppliers. The implementation of this project will not only help BSF to curb all types of cross border crimes but also provide respite to the troops from round the clock human surveillance. In September last year, the Home Minister inaugurated two smart-fencing pilot projects of five kilometer each on India-Pakistan international border in Jammu.

8.PM Modi inaugurates Ahmedabad Metro first phase:-On the first day of his two-day visit to Gujarat, the Prime Minister inaugurated the first phase of the Ahmedabad Metro Rail project and laid the foundation of the second phase of the project. After flagging off the 6.5 kilometre stretch of the first phase from Vastral Station to Apparel Park, Mr. Modi took a ride in the Metro for about one kilometre. The Prime Minister said the country had a total of 250-kilometre long Metro network till 2014 and now, it has increased to 650 kilometre after the 55-month rule of NDA government. He said, the Metro Projects will not only add to connectivity but will also reduce travel time. Mr. Modi said that launching of National Common Mobility Card- NCMC is another achievement of the government. He said that India is now in the few countries of the world, which have one card- one nation based Indigenous Automatic Fare Collection System. The Prime Minister also dedicated to the nation the new building of 1200 bed ultra modern super speciality hospital Medicity at Ahmedabad Civil Hospital campus. He also inaugurated a 590-bed cancer hospital, a 255-bed eye hospital and a dental hospital with 360 dental chairs in the same campus.Mr Modi also inaugurated the 51 kilometre long Patan- Bindi Railway line by digitally flagging off a goods train. He also laid the foundation stone of 78.8 kilometre long Anand- Godhra Railway line doubling project.
Our correspondent reports that inauguration of the series of hospitals with modern facilities will give a boost to the health care sector in the region. The Prime Minister alsodistributed the Gold Cards to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Jan AarogyaYojana- PMJAY and Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
