1.Bhupendra Patel takes over as Chief Minister of Gujarat
Gujarat in Ghatlodia constituency of BJP MLA Bhupendra Patel said the Gujarat chief minister is sworn in as. Governor Acharya Devvrat administered him the oath as the 17th Chief Minister of the state at the Raj Bhavan. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah , Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan , Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Khattar were also present at the swearing-in ceremony .
2.COLDEX will be established for the purpose of detecting changes in the climate
The Center for Oldest Ice Exploration ( COLDEX ) will soon be established to investigate the discovery of the oldest ice in Antarctica and to track changes in Earth’s climate over the past several million years . This exploration campaign was supported by America’s National Science Foundation.‘ and will include researchers from various universities. The primary objective of this study is to find out how Earth is currently behaving when it has warmed over the past million years. As part of this study, efforts will be made to find the oldest part of the ice in Antarctica. The information obtained through this study can be very important for continuing efforts to address climate change and its effects. The oldest record of Antarctic ice is currently about 800,000 years old, collected by drilling miles below the continent’s surface. Researchers hope that through this study, ice pieces ranging from 1.5 million years to 3 million years old will be discovered.
3.Daniil Medvedev of Russia wins men’s singles title at US Open tennis
Russia ‘s Danil Medvedev ‘s US Open in men’s singles have won titles. This is his first Grand Slam title. He defeated Novak Djokovic 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York . Second seed Medvedev shattered Djokovic’s dream of winning all Grand Slam tournaments and 21 major tournaments in a calendar year. Medvedev got a break point from Djokovic in the first set and later took control of the match with a great game.
4.PM to lay foundation stone of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University in Aligarh tomorrow
Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Uttar Pradesh ‘s Aligarh in Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University will be the cornerstone of. The university is being established by the state government in the memory and honor of the great freedom fighter, educationist and social reformer Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh. The university is being established in a total area of more than 92 acres in village Lodha and village Musepur Karim Jarauli of Kol Tehsil of Aligarh . This university will provide affiliation to 395 colleges of Aligarh division. Prime Minister’s Uttar Pradesh Defense Industrial CorridorK Aligarh node and Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh State University’s model exhibition will also be visited. The Prime Minister announced the setting up of a Defense Industrial Corridor in Uttar Pradesh while inaugurating the UP Investors Summit in Lucknow in February 2018. A total of six nodes have been planned which include- Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur, Chitrakoot, Jhansi and Lucknow. The process of land allotment in Aligarh node has been completed and Defense Industrial Corridor land has been allotted to 19 firms, these firms will invest one thousand 245 crores in this project. The Defense Industrial Corridor of Uttar Pradesh will help to make the country self-reliant in the field of defense production and promote Make-in-India.
5.Government will start Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana in 36 thousand villages across the country
Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda said his country ministry thirty thousand villages in Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana will apply. Under this scheme, priority will be given to villages having fifty percent tribal population .
6.Food processing unit inaugurated in Morena, Madhya Pradesh
Union Food Processing Industries Minister Prahlad Singh Patel said Madhya Pradesh ‘s Morena in Messrs resort Frozen Foods, a food processing plant was inaugurated. This food processing unit was inaugurated under the central sector cold chain scheme named Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana. It was launched on the last day of Food Processing Week. Food Processing Week was observed from 6th September, 2021 to 12th September, 2021 as a part of ‘ Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ‘. Under this, the Ministry of Food Processing Industries organized various programs. As part of this week, the Ministry has launched ChandigarhAlso organized a webinar on Business Opportunities in Bakery and Confectionery under ‘ One District One Product ‘.
7.India to grow at 10% in current fiscal: NCAER Director
According to Poonam Gupta , director of economic think-tank NCAER , the Indian economy is expected to grow by 10% during the financial year 2021-22 . This growth will be driven by fewer COVID-19-related supply disruptions, contact-intensive disruptions and increased demand for traditional services and a boom in the global economy. However, the real challenge will be to sustain the growth rate of 7-8% in the coming years. Poonam Gupta is the first woman Director General of NCAER. Prior to joining NCAER, he worked as the Chief Economist at the World Bank.
8.England becomes the first country to mandate the installation of EV chargers in new homes
The British government has announced legislation to introduce legislation in 2021 that would require electric vehicle chargers to be available in all newly built homes and offices in England . Under this law, all new homes and offices will be required to install smart charging devices. Accordingly, the new office blocks will need to set up charging points for every five parking spaces. The law would make England the first country in the world to require all new homes to have an EV charger.
9.Japan and Vietnam sign deal for defense equipment
Japan and Vietnam have recently signed a new agreement, which seeks to export Japanese-made defense equipment and technology to Vietnam.enables. The two countries have signed this agreement to boost defense cooperation in the backdrop of China’s growing military influence. The deal will take the defense partnership between the countries to a new level. The two countries also plan to deepen defense ties through multinational joint exercises. To counter China’s increasingly assertive actions in disputed waters of the South China Sea, Japan and Vietnam have agreed to maintain freedom of navigation and overflight in the Indo-Pacific, and the importance of cooperation in several defense areas, including cyber security. Vietnam is the 11th country with which Japan has signed a defense equipment and technology transfer deal.
10.India-US Strategic Clean Energy Partnership
Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri and US energy secretary Jennifer Granhom co-chaired by a virtual ministerial meeting and revised Indo-US strategic Clean Energy Partnership ( US-India Strategic Clean Energy Partnership – SCEP) was launched. In this meeting, both sides reviewed progress and major achievements and prioritized new areas for cooperation across multiple pillars. The Indian side expressed that this Revised Clean Energy Partnership will intensify efforts to take advantage of the complementarities that exist between the two countries. He also announced the addition of the fifth pillar on Emerging Fuels as both countries seek to promote clean energy fuels. On the occasion, a new India-US Task Force on Biofuels was also announced to build on the scope of work on cooperation in the biofuels sector.
11.Senior Congress leader Oscar Fernandes passes away
Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Oscar Fernandes passed away. He was 80 years old. Oscar Fernandes was considered a close leader of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi . He has also been the Road Transport Minister in the UPA government . Presently he was a Rajya Sabha MP. Oscar has also been the Parliamentary Secretary to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi . In 1980, he was elected as an MP from the Udupi seat of Karnataka . After that till 1996, he has been winning continuously from here. In 1998, Congress sent him to the Rajya Sabha.
