1.Prasar Bharti introduced Doordarshan satellite channels of eleven states, including five Northeastern states:-Prasar Bharti has started Doordarshan Satellite Channels of eleven states, including five North-Eastern states. With the introduction of this, the access to Doordarshan in remote areas of these states will increase. For the first time people of Chhattisgarh , Goa , Haryana , Himachal Pradesh , Jharkhand , Manipur , Meghalaya , Mizoram , Nagaland , Tripura and Uttarakhand will be able to see the programs of these channels from the satellite network. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Prasar Bharati on this achievement. Shri Modi said that this will encourage regional culture and people’s aspirations will be fulfilled.

2.Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 50th Foundation Day celebrations of CISF in Ghaziabad:-Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the 50th Raising Day function of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in Ghaziabad on Sunday and will address the CISF personnel.

CISF was established in 1969 and is providing security to the sensitive and important 345 institutions of the country with professional efficiency. The security cover of CISF includes airports as well as nuclear and space institutions , sea ​​ports , and major areas of power generation, besides the Delhi Metro. In the ceremony organized at the 5th Battalion Camp of CISF at Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, Prime Minister will first offer a wreath on the memorial of the martyrs in Camp Campus. After this he will also provide Police and Fire Service Medal for CISF for remarkable services.

3.Guinness gave the title of the oldest person to 116 year old Japanese woman:- Guinness World Records’ the 116 -year-old Japanese woman won the title of oldest living person in the world on Saturday Hakginij World Records named fi Tanaka in a ceremony on Saturday recognized officially this record. The ceremony was organized in a nursing home in Fukuoka, Southwest Japan.

His family members and mayors were also present to celebrate. Tanaka was born on January 2 , 1903 . He is number seven in eight siblings. He married Hidayo Tanaka in 1922 and has four children. He also adopted a child.

Before this, the oldest surviving person’s title was the name of another Japanese girl named Chio Miyako, who died in July last year, at the age of 117. The age of the people of Japan is usually long and in the list of the oldest, Dominates.

Regardless of the change in food habits or obesity, it is still rare. In the culinary tradition of Japanese, fish , rice , vegetables and low fat foods have been given more preference. Tanaka has to spend many more years to become the oldest person ever. According to the Guinness World Record, this record is the name of French woman Jeanne Louis Kalam, who was 122years old.

5.One gold, four silver medals for India at Finland boxing tourney:-Kavinder Singh Bisht in the 56kg-category struck gold while Shiva Thapa in the 60kg category and three others claimed silver medals to end a fine Indian campaign at the 38th GeeBee Boxing Tournament in Helsinki, Finland on Sunday.

Signing off with silver medals were three-time Asian medallist Shiva Thapa,  Govind Sahani, Commonwealth Games bronze-medallist Mohammed Hussamuddin and Dinesh Dagar.
In a rare all-Indian final, a gritty Bisht was up against Commonwealth Games bronze-medallist Hussamuddin in the 56kg summit clash. Both the boxers are from the Services Sports Control Board.Sahani started off strongly against Thailand’s Thitisan Panmod but lost  3-2. Thapa in 60kg category, lost 1-4 to local  Arslan Khataev. Dagar, was defeated by  Commonwealth Games gold-medallist England Pat McCormack in the finals.
Sumit Sangwan, former youth world champion Sachin Siwach and Naveen Kumar got bronze in their categories.

6.President Kovind to confer Padma awards:-President Ram Nath Kovind will today confer Padma awards at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Fifty-six of the 112 personalities, who were selected for this year’s Padma awards, will be conferred the honour at a special function. The remaining awardees are likely to be conferred the honour at another function to be held later this month. Folk Singer from Chhattisgarh Teejan Bai, President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh, Noted author and Maratha history scholar Babasaheb Purandare and executive chairman of L&T Anil Kumar Manibhai Naik are recipients of Padma Vibhushan this year. Fourteen persons have been selected for Padma Bhushan which includes Scientist Nambi Narayan, Malayalam Actor Mohanlal, South African politician Pravin Gordhan and late journalist Kuldip Nayar. Ninety Four Padma Shri will be given this year. The recipients include Sportspersons Sunil Chettri, Gautam Gambhir, Harika Dronavalli, Sharat Kamal, Dancer Nartaki Natraj, Farmers Kamala Pujhari and Ram Saran Verma and Social Worker Muktaben Dagli who is working for the welfare of Divyangjans.
The awards which were announced on the eve of Republic Day, includes 21 women and 11 persons from the category of Foreigners, NRI, PIO, OCI and 1 transgender person.
