1.Preparations for the election of the historic importance of Parliament and Legislatures in Nepal :-

All preparations are almost complete for the election of the historic importance of Parliament and Legislatures in Nepal. In the first phase of the elections, 37 districts of Nepalese parliament will be voted on Sunday for 37 Assembly seats and 74 for Assembly seats. Chief Election Commissioner of Nepal Dr. Ayodhya Prasad Yadav said that the main focus of the Election Commission is on the matter that voters will have more participation in elections and vote in free, fair and peaceful manner.

 

2.Pakistan releases Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed in Lahore :-

Pakistan has released Hafiz Saeed, chief of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, the leader of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack and the banned gang Jamaat-ud-Dawa. In any other case, it has been released after the government’s decision to not detain him. He was in custody since January this year. The Judicial Security Board of Punjab province, unanimously ordered release of Saeed on Wednesday.

The United States has kept a prize of $ 10 million for the role of terrorist activities on the head of Jamaat-ud-Dawa.

India reacted yesterday on the order of Saeed’s release saying that the attitude of Pakistan has once again become the world.

 

3.Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court has canceled Arjun Khatkar’s election :-

Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court has canceled the election of MLA of Jalna and state minister Arjun Khotkar. Jalna’s former MLA Kailas Gorantyal had filed a petition in this context in this context, accusing Khotkar of filing his nomination for the assembly elections in 2014, after the end of the nomination period.

 

4.Union Home Minister will chair the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Inter State Council :-

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will chair the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Inter State Council in New Delhi on Saturday. In this, the recommendations of the Birds Commission regarding the relationship between the Center and the States will be considered. The 11th meeting of the Inter-State Council was held in April this year after 11 years. The meeting of the Inter-State Council twice a year shows that more emphasis is being given on the importance of centrally-connected relations. The representatives of thirty central ministries and departments and representatives of seven state governments have been invited for deliberations of the Standing Committee. After considering the recommendations of the Bird Commission, the Standing Committee of the Inter State Council will give its recommendations. The chairman of this committee is the Union Home Minister.

 

5.In order to encourage bamboo cultivation in the non-forest areas, the Center has released the Indian Forest Amendment Ordinance :-

The Center has released the Indian Forest Amendment Ordinance 2017 to encourage bamboo cultivation in non-wild areas. Through this Ordinance, the bamboo grown in non-forest areas has been excluded from the definition of the tree. It will not need to take permission to cut and carry it for the economic use of bamboo. Bamboo grass is based on vegetation classification but under the Indian Forest Act of 1927 it is defined as tree.

Environment Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has said that due to the removal of statutory and regulatory hurdles, the cultivation of bamboo can be cultivated on the land of barely one crore twenty six lakh hectares.

 

6.The Center asked states to take strict action against the hospitals engaged in unethical activities :-

The Center has asked states to take strict action against the hospitals engaged in fraud and inappropriate activities under the clinical establishment act. Referring to the recent incident of recovery of huge amount for treatment at Fortis Hospital in Gururgram, the Health Ministry asked all the hospitals, including private hospitals, to issue warnings to this and to take action against them for arbitrariness.

 

7.The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered the review of the cases filed on youth in the period from 2015 to 2017 :-

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has ordered a committee already constituted to review the cases filed against youth between 2015 and 2017. The committee has been asked to give recommendations within ten days.

In the state, various sections of society were demanding a review of the cases registered against the youth.

 

8.No proposal to withdraw check book is under consideration: Ministry of Finance :-

The Finance Ministry has clarified that no proposal to withdraw the check book of banks is not under consideration. This statement has come in view of the news in a section of the media that the central government can withdraw check book facility in the near future to promote digital transactions.

 

9.Announcing new projects worth Rs. 1 lakh crore for Tamil Nadu :-

Union Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced new projects worth Rs. 1 lakh crore for Tamil Nadu. He reviewed various Central Infrastructure projects with Chief Minister EK Palanisamy in Chennai on Thursday. Later, Shri Gadkari said that three new projects like this, including the expressway to be built between Bangalore and Chennai, will be launched at a cost of twenty thousand crores.

 

10.Four Indian Boxer Semifinals in World Young Women’s Boxing Competition :-

Four Indian boxers will play semi-finals on Friday in the World Youth Women’s Boxing Championship in Guwahati. There are ten different categories of competition in the competition on Friday.
